345  Local / Primeros pasos y ayuda / Re: ¿Cómo empezar? on: June 10, 2014, 01:26:08 AM
Hola a todos.

Soy novato.

Saludos!
346  Local / Primeros pasos y ayuda / Re: Bitcoins en Chile? on: June 08, 2014, 02:39:28 PM

Boolberry News
June 7, 2014

Moving forward, we will post more updates so the community knows what has happened and what is going on behind the scenes. We will post an update at least once a week with news and development updates.

Updates

1. As you all know, there are working pools for Boolberry now. The most recent updates were verified on the test net and are working correctly on the main net. If you are a pool operator, please verify you have the updated code. Miners, start using the pools to get paid more often. The first post of this thread has the up-to-date pool list. Thanks to LucasJones, 33zer0w0lf and surfer43 for their hard work.

2. The Boolberry code has been reviewed and accepted by the CryptoNote team.

We have reviewed your code and are ready to announce Boolberry as a CryptoNote coin. We see your coin as an important experiment for the technology as you are introducing quite a number of new features. Moreover, your modification of the CryptoNight hash algo is also valuable.

Could you submit your logo, please?

This is significant because Boolberry is the first coin with CryptoNote Technology to use a new hashing algorithm.

3. The current team consists of crypto_ziodberg on development and btc-mike for branding and marketing. If you would like to help out send a pm to btc-mike.

In Progress

1. We are working with a profession designer to make the logo. We understand the importance of good logo and wanted this done right. We are expecting the logo design process to take no more than a week.

2. A GUI wallet is the next coding project we will complete. The wallet will be qt-based for use on most operating systems.

3. We are working out a few bugs on the forum. Once we have it running properly, we will make an announcement.
good news, thanks for the update!

It is not hard to solo mine. You need a strong CPU or multiple small CPU.

Put computers together on the same address.

A network without pool is perfectly decentralized, therefore very strong.

36hours with 8 xeon L5530, 2 xeon 2687W + 1 3930k@4.8GHz
Total : 2.6MHs
blocs found : 1  Embarrassed (instead of 3~5)

I know it's variance, i'm just unlucky, but pools are needed to reduce this variance.
If the difficulty was 10 times lower, with a bloc reward 10 times lower, there is no problems. At this diff, someone with a "little" cpu (like, a 4770K), will hardly find a bloc in a week, as the diff rise every day. It's only profitable to botnet, cpu farm and people with huge (and free) computer access.
