1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🧅 [ONION] 🧅 Popular Privacy Cryptocurrency with Real Use Cases 🧅See DeepOnion on: June 07, 2020, 01:29:02 AM
It seems like this thread is always on the main page. Why is this not in the top 100 at CMC?
2  Other / Off-topic / Re: You may win 1 (one!!!!) whole merit if you guess cryptohunter's new username on: January 23, 2020, 07:23:32 AM

My guess is that it's going to be something cringy and boastful...

You must be clairvoyant....

So what was the new name that he chose? Did I win?
3  Other / Off-topic / Re: You may win 1 (one!!!!) whole merit if you guess cryptohunter's new username on: January 16, 2020, 12:03:07 AM
I was thinking cryptogiver, thinking that he was part of this thread. I'm guessing that someone who would choose a name like cryptohunter might have evolved to cryptoconqueror.
4  Other / Off-topic / Re: Increasing real instagram followers on: January 03, 2020, 03:09:54 AM
May I ask what's the point? You want a bot to exchange followings just so that you could have more followers even though you don't know who they are, they don't know or care who you are? The fakeness of it all sounds so vapid.
5  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to make a girl fall for you? on: December 16, 2019, 02:06:43 AM
Studies show that the number one thing that you can do to attract a girl, our of everything, including money, is to become good looking. And I mean hot. A very hot guy. Good luck.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin help rebuild Venezuela? - Darb Finance on: July 06, 2019, 08:25:54 PM
Bitcoin can help a lot of the citizen maintain the price of their savings. But what Venezuela needs is good leadership. Believe it or not Chavez wasn't that bad. He had his vision, his plans, and so knew how to execute it. Maduro, he doesn't have his own vision, but more than that he's incompetent and corrupted.
7  Economy / Economics / Re: Repeating of all time high has begun on: June 20, 2019, 11:29:20 PM
It's kind of scary because I image that a 10k price is a psychological price when people try to sell.
8  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: May 23, 2019, 11:06:01 PM
I borough some money, and though I did not use a credit card, I did use credit cards to buy groceries and the like, and buy bitcoin with my cash.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: What happens if bitcoin price falls below the cost of mining it? on: August 01, 2018, 09:31:59 PM
I don't think it would really go lower than the price of mining, because the miners are going to be less likely to sell at a lost. It wouldn't make much sense to them. Mining factors into the whole supply and demand of crypto. Less miners willing to sell at a loss, then less Bitcoins available for sell, thus higher price.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: How to manage the risk in investing cryptocurrency? on: July 30, 2018, 11:25:55 PM
I say don't really pay attention to what people here say in here, and buy well known books about investments. Just focus on that, and hopefully you will find the best strategies for investing. I still haven't done that, but I'm planning on doing that this week.
11  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: July 26, 2018, 11:25:36 PM
Interesting, though I wonder how many will actually do this. They are newbies, what are the chances they come across this option before they rank up to Jr. Member, which isn't too much. If they find it when they have say 15 activity points, will it be worth it? So I think it should be an option when someone creates an account.
I think that Copper Membership is quite popular on Bitcointalk, I see many users wearing it. For example, ICO devs, service owners often buy this membership immediately after they buy account. And even after they reach Jr. Member rank this membership is still useful becauseit it gives some Member rank benefits (reduced PM limits, bigger signatures and etc.
Sometimes even Hero or Legendary members buying Copper Membership without any serious reason.

Now I'm understanding it better. I was assuming that it was a way for newbies to have simple benefits, such as no waiting 360 seconds before posts, and other such benefits that they would have once they reach Jr. Member. So I thought the copper membership would become obsolete once the member became a Jr. Member.

I'm guessing that if more bounty campaigns start accepting copper memberships instead of Newbies and JR. Members, it can reduce spam from bought and sold accounts.

13  Other / Meta / Re: How many Posts are limit for a day? on: July 20, 2018, 03:31:14 AM
Are you talking about activity? If so the limit is what you're eligible for. For example if you just started, then the activity limit is 14 on that day. When the next activity time comes, it will be 28. And two weeks after that day, it will be 42 and so on.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Serious Question Needs Honest Answer, What Am I Doing Wrong not to earn Merit? on: July 18, 2018, 10:57:08 PM
You're not doing anything wrong other than caring too much, which in turn leads to stress. Almost as though you need validation.

In my opinion you should just post freely, without spamming and low quality posts. And if nobody merits you, don't even think about it. Just move on to your next topic. Don't go back to check if you've been merited.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with the Unsold Tokens? on: July 17, 2018, 06:17:14 AM
I think that in the interest of the people who actually invested in the project the best thing to do is to burn any unsold token.

I would not feel right if I risked my money, and then others got the tokens for free just because.
16  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Giving Eth To Receive Eth Scam on: July 13, 2018, 02:47:41 AM
I can't imagine anyone being into tech falling for such a scam. They would have to be kind of too mentally slow to begin to use crypto. (No offense for anyone who fell for such scams and is reading this.)
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Will you still use MEW? on: July 10, 2018, 07:25:40 PM
Hopefully the hackers were not complete assholes and only took portions of the people whose accounts they compromised. But knowing the psychology of hackers, I doubt it.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins dropping like crazy on: July 06, 2018, 03:10:40 PM
Because Bitcoin is dropping. All altcoins are following the Bitcoin. The crypto market does not look good.

And also it seems like when the market is uncertain, people rather have their money in Bitcoin.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How I lost my coin. on: July 02, 2018, 03:14:02 PM
Well, how exactly did you lose your coin OP? I really wanted to know that when I saw the title? Was it a hack? Lost private key? Force?
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think the price of BTC will drop to 4000 dollars? on: July 02, 2018, 03:16:30 AM
If in early 2017 you would have said that at the end of the year the price of the BTC will be more than $ 10,000, no one would believe you. Nevertheless, the price was more than $ 19,000. in the same way, by the end of this year the price could jump above $ 20,000, but it may fall below $ 1,000. For sure, no one can know this.

Exactly, now one can really know. I remember being really optimistic, I would not consider any negative possibilities, but we must consider everything.
