More options are always welcome, although TalkImg always comes to mind whenever I have to upload a pic or two :p
But the upload limits after 5... perhaps increase the limits instead of the 500 Kbps cap while reducing the first 5 to like 10 - 20 Mbs?
I set this up to be safe, so I set a daily limit. If you've reached the 5 upload daily limit and want to upload up to 100MB (per upload file) again, you can return the next day to have the daily limit reset. (Note: I've increased the 500kb limit to 5mb for more than 5 per daily.) OP, while I appreciate the work that you put into creating this, wouldn't it be better to focus only on one project? For example, it would be nice if you could help talkimg to develop and implement more image editing features instead of creating a new separate website. Talkimg has a support from the community too and is already an established image hosting platform for this forum.
Unfortunately, that's not possible. My focus is on further developing ImgPeek to add more useful features, especially editing and storage. I also plan to create an SDK for it to expand its reach. With every feature I create, I will make sure it is useful and I want ImgPeek to be a comfortable place to do all of that. |

Imgur is a complete horse shit and died years ago. I am surprised it is still even getting mentioned. Just bury that deep in the ground so it won’t come back to life. Lol it didnt died It is the biggest image database in the web. It is working perfectly. However, it wont work in the forum because bitcointalk is blocking it to preserve users privacy from leaking private data such as ip. It is a forum limitation and policy, it is not dead lol As far as I know, Bitcointalk has never blocked platform. |

Jadi sekarang kembali ke agan, harusnya bisa menjadikan hal tersebut sebagai motivasi kalau project imgpeek ini gak hanya sekedar project copy-paste, tapi benar-benar punya kelebihan tersendiri dan berkelanjutan.
Yep gan, ImgPeek mau ane buat ada sdk nya juga untuk beberapa bahasa pemrograman. Ada rencana akan diperluas ke NodeJs, Python, dan PHP. Jadi intinya adalah ImgPeek tidak hanya digunakan untuk user pada umumnya, tapi juga untuk developer2. |

Ane nyobain fitur OCR di web agan, tapi beberapa word masih belum ketangkep. Yang ane upload adalah avatar salah satu sig campaign di forum btw. Apakah agan handling OCR pake code agan sendiri atau make API tertentu? Apakah ada plan buat OCR dokumen dengan bahasa asing kek Jepang, China, dkk? Lebih menarik lagi kalau bisa OCR file kek EPUB dkk sih. Cuma ane paham kalau ini mungkin bukan fitur utama buat image hosting yang tujuan utamanya ngehost gambar/ss.
Sejauh ini handling OCR by code, jadi benar2 tanpa API. Untuk OCR deteksi bahasa lain mungkin akan coba ane dipertimbangkan kedepannya dan akan uji coba lebih lanjut. Kalau untuk file2 lain diluar image, itu tidak akan ane terapkan karena sudah diluar fokus. Ada yang sebenarnya ane ingin terapkan seperti generator QR Code dan kustomisasinya. Karena sekarang ini hanya untuk API, tapi ane juga ingin untuk user pada umumnya agar mudah diakses.  |

Mungkin karena user lama sudah memiliki kesibukan masing2? ane ingat betul kalau 7 tahun lalu (awal baru bikin akun ini) atau lebih itu forum ini sangat ramai.
Apalagi ane yang seorang Blockchain Dev dan terkhusus di EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) itu liat habit nya sudah berpindah, yang padahal Bitcointalk dulu ramai tapi sekarang ke X, Discord, atau Telegram.
Dan mungkin juga seperti yang disebutkan, karena sistem Merit juga salah satunya yang semakin ketat.

ImgPeek hadir setelah TalkImg cukup dipercaya user forum ini. Jangan kaget jika ada komentar yang membandingkan dengannya.
I see, noted. Pantas saja cukup sering disebutkan disana untuk talkimg. Ambil Feedback positifnya dan gak perlu merasa gagal tentang beberapa kritikan, karena itu membantu kamu untuk terus mengembangkan aplikasi Hosting ini.
Aman gan  , hal2 seperti ini sudah terbiasa juga bagi ane apalagi platform baru launching juga pasti banyak timbul pertanyaan sana-sini disisi mereka. Dan ya, setelah ane amati sekiranya jadi paham sudut pandang mereka. |

Btw, saya lihat agan juga membuat thread ANN di luar, saran saya pindahkan topiknya ke board Meta agar bisa mendapat masukan dari user global lainnya juga. Thread serupa seperti TalkImg juga ditempatkan di board tersebut. Setelah saran dari agan, ane sudah mencoba post disini. Berharap mendapat feedback, tapi sepertinya ane harus menjawab keraguan disana. Agak sedikit berbeda dengan forum di Indonesia ternyata ya, kalau disini ane langsung dapat feedback yang bermanfaat langsung, sedangkan kalau disana mereka ragu terlebih dahulu karena Activity ane di Bitcointalk bagi mereka rendah dan belum dapat kepercayaan dari situ. Tapi its okay, dari situ jadi paham perbedaannya. |

It would be nice if the new tool was welcomed, at least without destroying the developer's spirit. Who knows that way developers might become more motivated and keep improving the tool. It is not easy to make a useful contribution to this forum because it requires a high level of effort.
Instead of the OP just making meaningless posts, it would be better if they were useful for the sustainability of forums like this. I know OP is still in the member ranks, so his credibility in developing something may be questionable, but all the contributors on this forum have been in the same position. Rank shouldn't be the only benchmark by which to assess a person's intentions and efforts.
As long as the tool or idea shared is still relevant, open to criticism and doesn't harm the forum, I think it's worth giving room to grow. Criticism is certainly necessary, but it would be more beneficial if it was accompanied by constructive input rather than immediately bringing it down.
I understand their concern and addressing them directly. This project exist because image hosting is a practical need on Bitcointalk, and it solve a problem I personally had in another project. Making it public allows others to use it and provide feedback, which helps me improve ImgPeek over time. Is this yours? Nice to have platform for more options to use other users, but for competition purposes you should do more features than existing ones. But still great tool.

You are competing with talkimg - every user you get makes his cost per image more expensive. If it's just for your own use, why make an announcement? This wasn’t built with the intention to compete with other platform. Initially, I only knew about Imgur and imgbb. I only became aware of talkimg after reading the comments here on Bitcointalk. The project started as a personal tool driven by curiosity and engineering interest. Once it proved useful for my own needs, I decided to open it to the public and be transparent about it. I understand that more users mean higher costs. When that becomes an issue, I’m prepared to adjust the platform strategy, for example by introducing ads or sponsored placements to keep ImgPeek sustainable. So the announcement isn’t about competition. It’s about sharing the tool early, getting feedback, and seeing whether it has value beyond my own use. |

Your last sentence spoke the truth - if you get no donations an no one signs up for your API, the one year point (when it comes time to spend more money) is when these sites usually drop.
These image scripts are easy to set up - even I did one lol... but you need to offer a new service, not just competition.
I don't plan to compete with anyone, I initially created this solely for myself because I use it frequently. While I don't currently generate any revenue from ImgPeek, it's entirely funded by my own money, and I plan to see it grow over the next 3 years. Why did you add the word "totally" when it is not? If I want to use the API, it's not free.
I mention "totally free" because I'm on the Bitcointalk forum, which is generally for regular user and not aimed at developer. |

By the way need to create account for uploading the next image at ImgPeek website or not? As is currently the case, both login and no-login options are always available, tailored to your needs. If you value privacy, I'm sure you'll prefer no-login. However, if you prefer to save your history, the login option will. @OP: you're not very active on Bitcointalk. How likely is it your image host is still online 10 years from now?
There's no guarantee as to how long this service will last. However, I will try to keep ImgPeek running for as long as possible. I did a small test with the converter and noticed something unusual with transparent PNG files [usually, when I convert a PNG into JPEG, the transparent part turns into a white background, but on ImgPeek, it becomes black]. Is it supposed to be like that?
it depends on the platform, if in ImgPeek it focus on file format if you try the Converter feature. |

Test  Bagaimanapun, semakin banyak yang menggunakan, maka semakin banyak juga kapasitas storage yang diperlukan apalagi jika misalkan masing-masing user mengupload file dengan ukuran maksimum semua (100MB). Nah iya soal kapasitas maksimal file yang boleh di uplaod harus di batasi. Kayak talkimg yang membatasi 2,5 MB untuk 1 gambar jadi gak akan membebani storage dan gak gampang full. karena kalo gak di batasi mungkin saja bakal ada yang iseng upload file gambar 100MB sekaligus dan banyak gambar.
Dan yang penting lagi soal Privacy, Apakah imgPeek ini sudah menerapkan penghapusan dat EXIF ( Exchangeable Image File Format ) yang berisi Informasi lengkap perangkat yang digunakan, Lokasi pengambilan gambar dan data-data lain, harusnya ini perlu di terapkan. Disini ane udah batasi per hari 5 file untuk 100mb (per upload segini) dan sisanya lebih dari 5 itu 500kb per upload file untuk menghindari lonjakan storage. Ini direset tiap hari jika ingin upload kembali file lebih dari 500kb. Dan untuk batasan expired, disini tidak diterapkan sama sekali sama ane baik itu tidak login ataupun login. Tentu ada pertanyaan "apa tidak akan rugi jika seperti itu?", jawabannya yes rugi, tapi tujuan ane buat ini sendiri bukan semata2 cari untung. Maka dari itu untuk membantu operasional ini, ane buka donate di footer dan sediakan API berbayar (ada di footer RapidAPI) untuk bantu developer agar bisa subsidi silang dan operasional tetap aman. |

Saya sudah test websitenya dan coba upload beberapa gambar, dan saya kira itu cukup cepat dan responsif, tapi ada hal yg masih kurang karena saya tidak bisa upload gambar dengan cara ctrl + v, kalau di talkimg kan bisa tuh langsung ctrl + v, jadi begitu screenshot dari printscr, kita tekan ctrl + c kemudian ctrl + v ke website terus keluar deh bbcode nya, nah mungkin bisa dipertimbangkan untuk menaruh fitur fitur paste gambar langsung jadi kita gak perlu lagi buat save local, tinggal ctrl + v langsung deh muncul bbcode nya. tapi overall projecynya bagus, dan saya mengapresiasi apa yg agan lakukan dan semoga saja terus di kembangkan bisa makin bagus lagi.
Siap, ane akan coba tampung dulu untuk masukannya ini terkait ctrl + v. Secara Overal projek nya bagus, sampai kemarin saya report to moderator agar Thread ini ada di Main Board dan sudah keturutan ada di Main Board. jujur saya hargai thread ini, andai banyak anggota terkhusus dari Indonesia yang bisa buat Thread semacam ini atau projek yang berguna untuk keberlangsungan Forum saya sepenuhnya akan support.
Cuma ada satu yang janggal menurut saya, cara membalas postingan dari anggota lain dari si pembuat Thread ini kurang Pro, tapi saya maklumi mengingat akun nya yang masih Member. Tapi setelah postingan saya ini, saya harap bisa mempelajari cara membalas dan quote yang benar agar tidak di spam ngeposting berulang seperti yang diatas yang mana jaraknya cuma 48 detik. yang mau dikatakan cuma Terimakasih sarannya, Terimakasih udah bantu bantu share. aduuh..

Halo agan2 sekalian, ane mau share tools yang lumayan kepake kalau sering posting di Bitcointalk.
Kadang kita butuh BBCode image biar gambar nongol di thread, kan? Nah, sekarang bisa pakai
Kemaren sempet cari cari karena lupa alamat url TalkImg malah nemu thread panjenengan. Sangat berguna dan informatif om abis nemu post ini kemudian ane quote di Thread [EDUKASI] Kumpulan Beberapa Tools & Platforms yang Berguna di Forum Bitcointalk. Wah terima kasih sudah bantu2 share, mudah2an bisa ane kembangkan lagi platform ini jadi lebih baik. Kalau ini mas kembangkan sendiri, saran saya kontak @theymos mas untuk mendapatkan whitelist, jadi dengan whitelist domain url dari website mas tidak akan kena error seperti yang dialami web-web image hosting selain Talkimg yang kebanyakan error baik karena dijapus dari database penyedia ataupun karena kena blacklist sistem server bitcointalk.
siapkan alasan yang masuk akal agar bisa diterima oleh admin untuk whitelist web.

Bagus sih dan Responsible banget untuk penggunaan di desktop dan fitur-fiturnya juga banyak.
Saya sudah nyobak semua fiur termasuk Edit Foto yang bakal kepakek banget kalo ada gambar yang perlu di edit.
Tapi masih banyak Error dan Harus ada perbaikan untuk setiap Fitur
Fitur Upload dan Edit Gambar
Ini kayaknya yang fatal, karena Ketika pilih gambar dan belum upload tapi mau edit dulu,
Setelah edit gak ada Fitur save atau upload lagi, jadi gak bisa keluar dari Menu edit.
Gak ada pilihan untuk Undo Redo saat salah ngedit, ngasih tanda panah, kotak dll, cuman kalo hapus teskt masih bisa
Link BBCODE Tidak ditemukan Lagi
Setelah Coba upload tanpa edit lagi, ok muncul beberapa URL termasuk untuk BBCODE,
Tapi yang jadi masalah ketika sudha upload dan lihat di history, Link BBCODE atau url lainnya juga tidak di temukan, cuman muncul gambar saja. Dan link BBCODE yang tertera setelah Upload tidak menyertakan ukuran "width=500" setelah memilih tombol Salin.
Kurang Tombol Auto Upload
Dan untuk kekurangan lainnya, Di setiap Fitur seperti Compressor, Resizer, Converter dan Cropper.
Tidak ada Tombol langsung Upload sehingga harus download lagi, lebih efisien kalo ada tombol Upload lagi biar gak bolak balik aja.
Untuk beberapa hal masukan tersebut sudah ane update ya gan, mungkin boleh dicek2. Untuk lainnya seperti album akan menyusul. |

This type of ANN is best for meta where other helping forum tools which have been developed by others are. I forgot to mention that the tutorial is located on the docs page. But I also plan to add it directly to the upload page to make it easier to copy the bbcode.
Adding it direct will make more sense, instead of the way it is now and even when you click on the doc what’s shown their is how to copy for different things either forum or other places, and you will also need to copy the image ID to make things work. If you can make it a bit easier just like we have in talkimg which automatically create a BBC code since the image hosting is not only for Bitcointalk you could make that BBC code optional so that anyone who select to post their image on the forum will be the one to get the corresponding link. Edit: I just noticed the suggested option have already been added, as I refreshed my uploaded image it’s easy to copy now.. Thank you for your advice, it is very good. |
