BTCr is definitely not a scam, that is for sure as I have already done my research. But, are they different from any other fork coins out there? I don't think so. They offer nothing special that will attract the investors who have previously owned forks like BCH or BTC. So, I won't take the chance of getting an overhyped coin which will slump once the hype is gone.

I see that there is a tremendous amount of hate for new ICO's entering the market, some of is unwarranted. I've had some pretty good experiences with ICO's before personally, just requires a lot of prior investment research!
My question is, have you invested in an ICO(s), and have you gotten burned or turned out ok?
I have invested in an ICO and it turned to be burned because i have lost almost 91% of the money I invested in the ICO and I am really feeling bad about it though the ico is a good one but i guess bear market make it to be undervalue |

i m seriously confused because i don't know the right decision to make now, i can't really bear the market anymore ETH has fallen to what i don't know the market is no longer pleasing i m loosing everyday by day.
should i sell or hold instead of me loosing every day. now just to a look at ethereum price $297.43 what i bought at $900 last year December

I will advise you to hold, think about cryptos in the next two to five years? by then it will be worth so much money, so patience is required for you to make good profit from crypto currency, think about how long the early investors of bitcoin and ethereum have waited before the prices increased. |

I also do not believe we will see 80% BTC dominance. there will be other projects which come along and hog up market. Bitcoin will probably always be #1 but I doubt it will sport that high of a market cap ever again.
I totally accept your point, I don't think bitcoin dominance will reach that 80% by 2022, bitcoin might still remain the number coin by 2022 but there are a lot of coin that will share the market will bitcoin, some of the coins are not even yet created, so you made a point here. |

This is not good to see, there is a whole lot of dead coins already and with the current market condition, a lot more coins will be dead too, but I believe any project that has a great prosper will not be dead, I see most of those project on the list has no real use case and some doesn't require blockchain |

As I remember Vitalik Buterin said in the end of 2017: only 10% of coins will survive in 2018, so a lot of shit coins will be dead.
I think if the market keeps on with this trend, and keeps going down, soon the prediction will come to pass because a lot of coins will soon go to zero and volume on them anymore, I hope we won't find our self to that level |

For me i think any coins that has a use case and massive adoption from people will be used for retiring,talk about coins like bitcoin, etherum etc, these coins will stay for a longer time because of their massive use and adoption and they will be good for retiring

Because Bitcoin is first coin in this market so It introduced to us about blockchain and these stuffs. Also a lot of people used to bitcoin for some reasons in the world like in China, Venezuela.
yeah sure i agree with you, countries like Japan have also legalized bitcoin to serve as a means of payment and there are some companies in Japan that pay their workers salaries in bitcoin, when you mention crypto currency or digital currency, bitcoin comes to mind, all these makes it superior. |

When bitcoin becomes unstable, it normally affects the market price in generally and investors will normally sell off so that they will buy at dip again, so i think the market is making another major correction which with time, it will go high again. |

it is a normal thing for an ICO to extend their ICO and bounty when their hard cap is not reach, extending of ICO and bounty is common these days because of the bear market condition, these days ICO hardly reach their hard cap unlike before when ICO's finish in minutes and there was a gas war.

I am just so surprised the way crypto currency is turning out to be this 2018, when i join this space earlier this year, I use to hear people say that 2018 will be the year for crypto currency, they even listed some few coins that will do 100X in this year, but so far everything is getting worse as we go down the year. I think the first step to launching a new crypto currency is first to build a working prototype then build a website and a white paper to detail your project and your team information and their experiences , then look for a bounty manager to run a bounty campaign for the ICO, if your ICO is a good idea, people will invest. |

This new platform will be a Coinbase competitor.
If Coinbase do not list Cardano they will look like fools because I believe Bakkt will list Cardano!

Not at all, crypto is not doomed, you cannot judge crypto and say it is doomed because of the current market price, I believe in the future the price of the coin will eventually grow when more people adopt and join the space, currently crypto currency has not gone main stream but I believe a time will come when it will go main stream.
