7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BEL]Huge Development in the works! Bells Rock! Volume on the Rise! on: April 29, 2014, 09:18:18 PM
Some people are becoming some real BEL whales mining this day and night on such low difficulty. It'll come back around well for them when BEL hits 1k satoshi.

There is a real calm here, before the storm.
That's why I'm here.

Okay, but how many coins were given out ?
Currently 50% of the IPO has been donated to The Water Project. Smaller donations of H2O have been made by community members to other projects as well as donations to the water project.

How would people feel about a pool that has a 1% donation fee that goes to charity and optional donation % that goes into a pool that goes to a single miner. 1% = 1 chance. 2% = 2 chances and so on. Also...

PRESS RELEASES OUT! Wink

I am back at H2o, see that so many people still hold the coin and I will join in again.
cheers
Nice to have you back! Welcome back!
How do I install the wallet on linux ?
I already download the H2Ocoin-master-0.8, what do I do next ?
Thanks.
Build instructions
Debian
First, make sure that the required packages for Qt4 development of your distribution are installed, these are

for Debian and Ubuntu <= 11.10 :

apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \
    libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \
    libssl-dev libdb4.8++-dev libminiupnpc-dev
for Ubuntu >= 12.04 (please read the 'Berkely DB version warning' below):

apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \
    libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \
    libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev
For Qt 5 you need the following, otherwise you get an error with lrelease when running qmake:

apt-get install qt5-qmake libqt5gui5 libqt5core5 libqt5dbus5 qttools5-dev-tools
then execute the following:

qmake
make
You should definitely use the 'code' tags  Wink
So on 12.04, I did the following :
Code:
sudo apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev

And everything was up to date already. Then I did the next one.
Code:
sudo apt-get install qt5-qmake libqt5gui5 libqt5core5 libqt5dbus5 qttools5-dev-tools

But packages couldn't be found. Which repo do I need to add in order to get those ?

EDIT : I managed to install those packages with these commands :
Code:
sudo apt-add-repository ppa:ubuntu-sdk-team/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install qtdeclarative5-dev

But then when I go to my h2o folder and try to 'qmake', the terminal tells me that "qmake: could not find a Qt installation of ''"
What do I do wrong ?

I wish I could help with that Sad I have no clue regarding mining Sad

I'll ask guys on our IRC channel. You can join us at #H2OCoin (Freenode) There are some geeks who know like everything Tongue
Hey sorry about the formatting I was sleepy and just copied it from the readme. Here's what you do.

Code:
sudo apt-get update
Code:
sudo apt-get upgrade
Code:
sudo apt-get install qt5-qmake libqt5gui5 libqt5core5 libqt5dbus5 qttools5-dev-tools
Code:
qmake
Code:
make

That should clean it up, if it doesn't I'll have to look for the repo with the qt packages.

H2o all the way! Water for everyone in need! mine for a cause!
Find it weird that you're mining water?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Hard Fork Coming] Clean Water Coin | $2,000 Donated to Charity: Water on: April 10, 2014, 04:51:23 PM
Bittrex wallet is disabled as well

This sucks

Yeah it is down.

That's odd because market history shows trade after you posted that screenshot (see c/p from Bittrex below). Could it be issue with their platform instead of the CWC wallet?

Date                                    Bid/Ask            Total Units (WATER)    Total Cost (BTC)
04/10/2014 12:37:46 PM    0.00000017    25000.00000000    0.00425000
04/10/2014 12:25:04 PM    0.00000017    514.52779000            0.00008746
04/10/2014 12:17:31 PM    0.00000017    32.44797300            0.00000551

It should just be deposits and withdrawals that are disabled. The market of existing coins on bittrex can still occur.

Hello, I just showed up to this coin, is there an IRC for this coin?
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] H2O Coin | Dark Gravity Wave + Scrypt-N - Wallets working. Future = NOW. on: April 08, 2014, 01:22:09 PM
Either way i still believe Clean Water Coin and Surge Coin will be the top water coins, they actually serve a purpose!

Could you explain a little further? H2o donation amount given to provide clean water has immensely surpassed the other coins(USD value wise).
