Edit:
This folding software is not failsafe at all, I know I shouldn't be messing with overclocking while I am folding, but deleting 4.5 hours of folding work because of a crash is not cool Cry

even if it doesn't crash due to overclocking, the submitted result may not match up with another submitter's result, and hence no reward may be credited - and a third
submitter is required to get a somewhat reliable majority vote.

Christian

That's just a matter of getting a stable overclock though, which takes some time :p

Edit:
Also I haven't overclocked for the points that I never got, so meh...

Yeh it does but a lot of people have been saying its taken about 2 days to show up. Sucks i know
Well atleast the price isn't crashing I guess (That's a shocker! Roll Eyes)

So, the standford website is definately not giving me the same amount of points as the folding program claims...

Its around 48 hours from when you get the points that they show from what i have seen
Seriously? As the website updates like 3-4 times a day...
Meh -.-

Anyone running CureCoin on Linux? How would I set it up?

Christian

Yes I am, CPU only but GPU shouldn't be too different, here's a link to help you out:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=604172

Edit:
I am getting sick of the 10 hour GPU WUs... they claim to be rewarding but haven't seen any of that back in my points...
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 11:17:45 PM
I was doing it pretty much since ivanlabrie told us about it, not a single CureCoin has hit me yet... got a total score of 34722 according to the website, which I hope to god that that's just not updated yet... Should have atleast like 70-80k...
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 09:01:20 PM
Don't even need to give it 24 hrs. The pool hit 2 blocks already and while my PPLNS estimated stats have been a steady 0.22617568 DRK per block. The actual payout is 0.04070454 DRK  Huh

So I want to take my measly 0.19160240 DRK and leave but when I go to cash out I see this:

"Please note: a 0.2 DRK transaction will apply when processing "On-Demand" manual payments"!

This pool is a complete fraud  https://cpu-pool.net/drk/index.php

Le sigh, try setting your auto payout to as low as possible, if their limit isn't > your DRK it will auto payout.
NEVER trust a pools calculations...

From now on, any discussions about amazing new places to mine should be sent directly to me as a pm Wink we need an inner knowledge circle

...hmm
No hmms here! There's a million lurkers Lips sealed
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 07:46:33 PM
Their folding rate is going up a hell of a lot. I think it takes 24 hours after you get your points for them to work
I told you talking about it here was a bad thing Lips sealed
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 07:03:27 PM
Hmm looks like that folding pool just updated their stats, no coins for me however... yes I do have folding points...
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 02:26:12 PM
Smaller jobs are nice as you don't have to wait for 10 hours to do something else I guess...

Edit:
You only get the coins once every 24 hours because the actual standford stats update once every 24 hours
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 02:15:44 PM
nope, if you go onto cryptobullionpools.com it say this "Pool Folding@home rate: 123107660 PPD", thats what you use i believe
again im new so may be wrong, will soon see when i get anything paid
Yeah same, I am waiting on this WU to finish so I can go gaming for the weekend :p

The number I got I pulled from http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/main.py?qtype=teampage&teamnum=224497 btw...
Maybe the pool only takes in account the people that signed up to it?
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 02:12:23 PM
ok so here is the calculation im using

(PPD/TeamPoints)*7488 = CureCoins
CureCoins * 0.0023531 = value

so right now using the team at www.cryptobullionpools.com, this is what you get for 110k PPD

(110000/123107660)*7488 = 6.690729074 CureCoins
6.690729074 * 0.0023531 = 0.015743955 BTC

ManIkWeet your team score was 10 times higher then it should be Smiley
Sounds alot better then Smiley
I guess I shouldn't be using the "grand score" then
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 02:04:02 PM
So I would like the correct math, hence I asked Cheesy
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 02:00:46 PM
Atleast you got some cards that don't eat power, my single GTX 780 isn't profitable with anything :p

0.015BTC / day with one 780 GTX and you call it unprofitable? Ok then just mining for fun or folding for feeling good, nothing in this cryptoworld is profitable now Wink.

Btw, here are the informations for someone who wants to use his 750ti for folding
http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?s=22432ecb4c24cd8ccf21e749fb686c4e&t=60501
I would like to know your math Tongue

The team has a "grand score" of 1011173208
PPD / 1011173208 * 7488 * 0.00235112

So for me that results in 111190 / 1011173208  * 7488 * 0.00235112 = ~0,001936 BTC...

Folding @ home is all epeen based anyway so yeah Cheesy

very true, but if im honest its going to draw in more miners. my dad for example has a 750ti but has never mined. He has had cancer twice, for him, something like this is a valid reason to start mining

also as an update, i started again today with my 2 750Ti's
i was given a 21 hours project, its been around an hour and the project is at 10% and down to 9 hours. so i guess there is a bug in the project ETA timings
Yes, I am "mining" too, highly doubt profitability but we'll see. The great part about it is that you actually EARN MORE if you keep it mining, instead of periodic mining...
Also it's an easier way to get into "mining" as it's all click&go stuff, instead of fancy pool signup, commandline configuration etc etc...
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 11:41:38 AM
Damn. but i guess who cares if we dont use ccminer 100% of the time. Right now this seems ok on profitability and it gives christian a bit of a break to sort out x13 while we sit on that. I dont see it as a bad thing, plus you get the ego boost of how your helping out
Folding @ home is all epeen based anyway so yeah Cheesy
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 16, 2014, 11:04:15 AM
You see now i know that folding isnt related to ccminer or cudaminer but if the guys over there could work with christian, maybe they could improve nvidias speed. Personally i would rather earn some money and help find a cure then mine for more money to be greedy

My solution for my issue was to use tye 2 750Ti's it detected properly to fold, then leave the last solomining jackpot coin
Nope, as it's closed-source Sad
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] cudaMiner & ccMiner CUDA based mining applications [Windows/Linux/MacOSX] on: May 15, 2014, 11:36:24 PM
Okay so don't talk about CureCoin here, it's not ccMiner/cudaMiner based...
Also you ruin profitability if everyone knows about it Tongue
Oh yeah, this folding is heavily CPU based too, even if you disable CPU folding. Meaning more power draw.
