1  Economy / Gambling / Re: Ratings and Reviews of all the bitcoin sports books. Poster input appreciated. on: May 01, 2014, 05:51:28 AM
I wrote up some solid reviews a couple pages back so i'll weigh in.  I think most of the ratings here are decent based on the "time" criteria.  I do think cloudbet might be the best right now, but if you cap what a book can achieve based on time in existence than cloudbet is where it should be.

however, that being said, JUST because a book is the oldest (anonibet) doesn't mean it should be rated the highest.  the review i posted about anonibet and several others here are pretty scathing when you subtract out the fact that they've been open the longest.  they are pretty much the worst across the board on 5 other criteria points.  frankly the book itself is D+ to C- at best when you take EVERYTHING into consideration (other than time open).  i DO think that other peoples complaints about anonibet are legit and it should be downgraded considerably because all aspects of that book suck other than the fact that they've been in business the longest.

there is one other thing to consider though.  i think anyone can open up a bitcoin book like anonibet with roughly 50 bitcoins in cold storage.  the fact is that the average bettor probably wagers .05 BTC and so when anonibet caps action about as low as possible there is almost 0 risk to them as far as someone like me ever winning big.  i would be shocked if they could release a cold storage wallet address proving they had 500-1000 bitcoins to back their book.

I would rather play at a brand spanking new book who released a signed wallet transaction showing good backing (1000 btc) then a lowly capped book like anonibet that prays off people who are zero risk to them (especially when their posted odds are so terrible they they gain a extra 10% handicap advantage over all the other books).
Everyone always remember when reading this post from this poster, he lost 340k to a new book because of his belief system to the new books.

Somehow every time you post it's dumber than your previous post. Not sure how you always manage to outdo your own stupidity but you clearly have a gift.  When it comes to being an idiot you exceed expectations with every stroke of your keyboard.

Look man, I know it still hurts. You made a lot of bad bets and lost a ton on coinbet. I feel for you and your horrible life. If you keep grinding out .01 Bitcoins eventually you'll get em all back!
U can try and downplay me all u want for stuff about me u have "zero" info on. If it makes u feel better to think I'm a losing player go ahead. Just think how can someone who seems to know not to trust any book open for 2 months with more than $500 be as much of a loser as u say?
There is actually 1 idiot left in this thread it is u and u know why. Do u really not think your not an idiot for trusting a bookie open 2months with that much $? U can't hide how greedy u are, or that wouldn't have happened to such an extreme level. Sorry I can't side with u since this is the stupidest story I have come across to date.

And how much money exactly did I "trust" them with?

DirectBet- You are defeating the purpose of this thread. BitcoinzRulez is a respected poster that plays at the books. If he has a problem or dislike with a book, his opinion holds weight. We need experiences from all posters in this thread. We have questions for books in this thread. That's the purpose of the thread. Start new threads for personal squabbles.
BitcoinRulez maybe be respected by u and others by being truthful and such, but BitcoinRulez is by far the dumbest poster and better i have ever come across. Please Peeps Place don't condone people to max deposit and max bet at shops that are open 2 months this way they don't think its ok to do something as stupid as this poster, this way at least if the place turns out to be a scam they people won't lose out more then they should have.

GOD, you are just painfully ignorant to continue blaming me for a shady book.  NO ONE got paid, no matter how much or little they made.  the whole thing was a scam.  had i not won any money, people still wouldn't have gotten paid.  really, your stupidity is unmatched in the betting community and you should refrain from ever posting again.

Dear Peepsplace,

I stated on the first post I have posted here on your thread that as Anonibet we do not want to make any comment or post anything. Unless a question was directly asked to us, we do not interfere in your discussions. As we said before, we prefer the thread being used by player for players.

Please do NOT DEFEND OR MENTION ANONIBET in any of your post. If you wish you can delete us from your rating list. We do not want to be part of a discussion with any bookmaker. We have been present since 2011, and this is the best response we can give to anyone.

WOW!  I mean this thread is for discussions on all aspects of bitcoin books. you're bound to be mentioned by players and peeps.  If peeps has played there he has a point of view relevant to discussions here, as we all do who have played on your site.

I don't know what the hell is going on in your joint, but the past week you haven't done much right and your site is quickly falling behind the bitcoin curve.  you may have been the first, but like the iphone, the field has caught up and rapidly surpassed you.  you need to improve both your site and your stance on customer service VERY quickly.

Cloudbet cashouts have been very fast for me and it doesnt affect your active bonus. They also have very competitive lines, if they could just improve their utility and design...

27 Apr 12:46   Withdrawal   -10.0001   pending

painfully slow for me.  it has been 6+ hours.  although to be fair it saved me money because what i was going to bet on lost.

Cloudbet review, couple things:

1 -- i cant wager on any of my iphone browsers.  leandro said mobile is in the works, but you dont need a whole mobile platform, just decent enough coding that people can wager on your non-mobile website using mobile browsers.  its awful and because of that while i was AT a game i wasn't able to wager.  i mean honestly, in this day and age a huge percentage of betting has to be done on a phone or tablet (30%?)

2 -- figuring you could just email the wager, i sent leandro what i wanted (i mean you can call most books and tell them, why not email when there's absolute written proof), but he couldn't accept it.

3 -- so i went with option 3 which was to cashout and bet it elsewhere.  here we are 6 hours later and nothing.  now like i mentioned above it saved me 10 bitcoins because i wanted the nats over 7.5 which lost.

so here's my issue, if i'm not sitting in front of a PC, apparently i need like 5 redundancy plans to place a bet because option 1, 2, and 3 were complete fails.

****its good to see a book looking out for me though and not letting me place a wager.  saved me 10 BTC.  after the coinbet debacle only 690 BTC to go for break even.

I will say, so far, cloudbet has been the best of the 3 i've tried.  those include anonibet and nitrogen.  however cloudbet is only this high because they have the highest betting cap of the 3 sites i've used in the past couple days.

Simon's blog is rediculous. He said that player's were owed $5,000,000 and that Coinbet's starting capital was $30,000. You should disregard everything that Simon posts.

possibly.  but in this particular instance he posted screen shots of his email conversation with paul regan.

I also think anonibet should honor the soccer wager that played on neutral ground.  Its fairly ridiculous they wouldn't.  also of the 3 books i've tried this week (anonibet, cloud, nitrogen), anonibet was BY FAR the worst.  they had the lowest caps, the most counter intuitive web setup, the fewest number of bettable selections, the worst odds, and a complete and utter system glitch which prevented me from betting anything at all.

1 -- lowest caps.  i think the max i could bet on any sport at any time was right around 4 BTC, and most were capped around 2 BTC.

2 -- their website is terrible.  its like something out of 2003.  you cant just click to see your wagers.  you have to click history, then open bets, then the type of bet.  3 clicks just to see what you've got bitcoins on?  if you want to see past wagers you have to add a click for your date range and its just as complicated to see your cashier history.

3 -- sports are limited and selections within those sports are also more limited than the other books.  i would say half the sports and then half the selections within those sports.

4 -- i mean their odds are obviously terrible on average, but the one that really stuck out for me was the NBA.  indy game prop was paul george o/u 22.5 on both sides was -118.  seems steep to take almost 20%.  a prop like that where both sides are even should probably be -110 at worst and maybe -107.  houston/portland game tonight you cant even bet with the spread.  you have to take the ML or nothing.  just weird.

5 -- yesterday i tried placing several bets and got a popup error for all of them saying max bet was 7.17 mbtc.  sure, $3, why not.  who would bother making a bet for $3?  i basically cant even bet there any more because of how awful it is.

if it were me, i would grade this book no higher than a D+ with a minor bump based on how long they've been in business plus a bump if they can prove liquidity (address of cold storage wallet with like 1000 BTC or something).  frankly, unless they rewrote their whole system or hired me as a consultant i would NEVER go back.  not sure why anonibet is so popular.

its been said a few times that that customer service guy was paul and that blogger from many pages back said he was paul regan from florida.

i'm about 97% certain this is his facebook:

https://www.facebook.com/paul.regan.313

i sent him ONE message about coinbet and he changed his privacy settings almost immediately, but i have the original page up on my computer still with all his information.  he's from florida, formerly NY and if you google coinbet, paul regan you get to that profile.

https://www.google.com/search?q=facebook+paul+regan+coinbet&oq=facebook+paul+regan+coinbet&aqs=chrome..69i57j69i60l2.6826j0j7&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8

i think he's the weakest link and we should all take a trip to florida and confront him.  see what he knows.

I have to say as my first day trying out new books, cloudbet and anonibet are insanely slow to grade my wagers. It's been hours and both books have my bets pending. I checked the FAQ section and both state within minutes except on exotic crap.

If I ever bet early games and wanted to bet west coast stuff I'd be shit out of luck at this rate.

"How long does it take for the bets to be settled?
We settle all the bets and pay, as soon as we can confirm the outcomes of the events. This usually takes a few minutes for most events. But sometimes in exotic sports or leagues the time to confirm the results might take longer. Anonibet aims to settle all the bets as soon as possible."
12  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for a higher stakes bitcoin sportsbook on: April 25, 2014, 07:04:09 PM
I'm looking to wager somewhere in the neighborhood of 10-30 btc on sides/totals and then around 5-10 btc on 2-4 way parlays.

I tried nitrogen and my action was capped at 4 btc, 2 btc on parlays, anonibet and my action was capped very low and then cloudbet where i couldn't place a parlay i wanted higher than .1 btc.

I need some reliable bitcoin books that can actually handle a reasonable level of action.  feel free to weigh in as managers and players but be willing to show me evidence that you can handle action and that you are reputable.

I get told from books all the time that they can handle my level of action until i join the site and then its a fight to be able to place reasonably sized wagers.

you just lost 340000$ on betting and now you want to bet again. You seem to be a gambling addict. get some help!

I didn't LOSE it, it was STOLEN.  and clearly since I can make $340,000 I'm pretty good at betting. how about you stop private messaging me for blowjobs and learn to read.

Didn't you make several deposits for 10-20K each before this? Hitting a hot streak doesn't mean you're good at betting

Sports betting profits are like poker.. wild swings here and there but at the end of the day.. it's a grind.. a marathon.. not a sprint. you need to do INSANE research on players/teams/weather. Heck even officiating to be good at sports betting. what you are is in addict looking for action.

why are you even spewing your garbage on this thread?  i'm looking for high stakes action, not your lame opinions.  i won 500 btc on bitbook and 340k on coinbet.  your advice and opinions on my habits are pretty irrelevant when you dep $40 a pop.

I had multiple problems with them as well in the early days and stopped going there after they banned me. I have never been banned from anything in my life, but CoinBoss and I used the same I.P. address (WiFi access spread across multiple large hospitals). I can complete that story and fill in some details if you want.

Link here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=410999.msg4967492#msg4967492

it's somewhere in that thread

I remember that thread... I ripped their T&C to shreds and called coinbet out several times on it. I'll look in my post history.

Do you have any specific information about these thieves?  names, locations, etc?
