1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Buying Collective? on: December 18, 2020, 12:16:23 AM
I have always wondered why 100 people who have the buying power of $100-500 USD (very small) and buy shit altcoins like DCN for $100 you'd currently get 13 million DCN coins. 100 people buy 13 million coins each at the same time and I have little doubt the price would climb a bit then we unload them together and move from coin to coin and grow the collective. Imagine if 1000, 10000 people did it. We could all get rich....

thoughts? want to start an investment collective?
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I make a cold wallet securely? on: December 16, 2020, 11:30:08 PM
If you are talking about a real cold BTC wallet, then it's secure as it gets.

https://www.bitcoin.com/get-started/setting-up-your-own-cold-storage-bitcoin-wallet/

But you might want to think about keeping it at Coinbase.com with 2FA and related security so if you need to sell it fast...

4  Economy / Service Discussion / Wallet/Exchange Combiner? on: December 16, 2020, 11:15:06 PM
I have crypto at many different exchanges,(HitBTC,etc), wallet services (coinbase, etc) is there a mobile app or online website that will join them all together in one place and better yet alert me when a coin raises more than X% or X amount...

said app/service would have no need to beable to trade or send at said service. only display and alert.

10  Other / Off-topic / Re: Favorite porn star? on: February 12, 2014, 08:47:27 PM
who cares if a porn star gets plastic surgery. I don't care if the truck stop bathroom looks fake or had surgery.
11  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Any Bitcoin Ad service ? on: February 12, 2014, 08:45:35 PM

12  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Advertise with Bitcoin on: February 12, 2014, 12:37:40 AM
An idiot who earns some BTC I would say. Yet again we convinced some advertisers, the beginning of a succes!
Ow, regarding the Wiki, I guess it is a contributor or a fan.

https://1000bitcoinpage.com

Not calling you an idiot, I'm calling the people that are advertising idiots. No one will ever see those ads except other people looking to advertise thus making them ZERO dollars.Anyone reading this spend your money with Google Adwords and actually get ROI.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Situation under control! on: February 11, 2014, 06:27:24 PM
Go back to my USD? I never left it? Did you?

Yes USD can be stolen but you have recourse, legal system ,FDIC, chargebacks, protection. If crypto will ever go main stream it will have to have some of the same or a new type of protection.

Someone said Crypto isn't for stupid people, then that leaves out 99.7 of the world. So once again it will never go mainstream.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: Natalie Portman is such an horrible actress on: February 11, 2014, 02:09:10 AM

did that really happen or is it edited?
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Situation under control! on: February 11, 2014, 02:06:17 AM
bitcoin like all crypto is a fad and will be gone soon enough if there is no protections that USD offers. no one will ever accept a currency that someone can steal and nothing you can do about it.
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Natalie Portman is such an horrible actress on: February 10, 2014, 06:23:13 PM
she's ugly as hell, seen most recent thor movie?
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today, We all saw how weak bitcoin is on: February 10, 2014, 06:21:25 PM
A single exchanger played & scammed all bitcoin exchangers, all bitcoin users within one single day, how much money on bitcoin has been lost in 24 hours?

Imagine what will happen when BTC-E run away or crashed for whatever reasons?
Imagine what will happen when Bitstamp run away or crashed for whatever reasons?
I am sure these are all going to happen sooner or later just like TradeHill and Mtgox

A private company so called Bitcoin Foundation, having such a evil man Mark Karpeles being a board member, does control Bitcoin Client QT, Bitcoind.exe still advertising MTGOX, allowing Transaction malleability Bug exist which has been known about since 2011 - https://bitcoinfoundation.org/blog/

Do you still think Bitcoin will be the world currency?

In case you don't know yet, Mark Karpeles is the ceo of Mtgox

Quote
The Bitcoin Foundation pays Gavin to maintain the reference Bitcoin client.
Peter Vessenes is the Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation, and the Founder of CoinLab.
MtGox (Mark Karpeles) is also a member of the Bitcoin Foundation.
Over the past 18 months or so, Gavin made a lot of changes to the Bitcoin protocol in a relatively short amount of time, including forcing a hard fork.  Many observers noted at the time that this was unwise.
CoinLab and MtGox are involved in some sort of lawsuit involving an agreement to transfer customers from MtGox to CoinLab.
MtGox appears to have been unable to keep up with the changes to the Bitcoin protocol.

Anything inaccurate about this assessment?  I'm trying to maintain a relatively neutral view of the facts, but that's difficult as a Foundation non-member, since the Foundation does everything in secret.  So if anything is mistaken please let me know.

But, beyond just the obvious facts, would anyone like to discuss the obvious clusterfuck of interests going on here?  Should I even mention BitInstant?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=458575.msg5059553#msg5059553

Never thought bitcoin or any  crypto will be a world currency until the day it offers the same protection as the USD
18  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: February 10, 2014, 06:18:31 PM
I'm curious to see some pictures of those mining rigs.  Share your pictures of your rig and then details of build and mhash/sec.  Let's get a frame of reference up here with some visuals.

I'm a gamer so this is an older gaming rig (2+ years old now)

A single 4890 that produces 100 mhash.  Bitcoin mining will help me justify putting together a tri or quad video card setup relatively soon.

You need to invest in a can of air my friend
