Is Online Crypto-Gambling Legal in a Country Without Gambling Laws?

This is interesting, based on what I know you cannot be charged for something that has no laws that penalize you, for you to get penalized there should be guidelines and laws on how an officer addresses your charges if he cannot present a degree that charge you of doing illegal.

So if you are caught gambling online and no law prohibits you then you cannot be charged, gambling is legal in our country as long as you are playing on a regulated platform, if not then that's illegal gambling.
So laws define what's legal and illegal.
142  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: 0xbc1.io - Innovative crypto exchange service on: March 13, 2024, 11:45:56 PM
I actually do not like it when projects are incomplete in preparation but hasty to announce. If I were to announce a project and having known how here works, I'll definitely have to remain calm until everything is matured before I'll go live.
I like the domain name and if they be serious with the project they can penetrate the industry as fast as possible.

It could have been better if OP made it clear from the beginning that the exchange is currently under development, and everybody is encouraged to make suggestions and recommendations to make sure the product is appealing to the public by the time it launches. But it isn't the case. There's already such line as "0xbc1.io is available anywhere, anytime." It isn't even finished.

Anyway, I don't think the domain name is that relevant. It's the features, the UX, that matter.

That's true bro, the project can only be relevant in the industry it's trying to break into not because of the domain name but the features and usability they can offer to the community.

I request OP to lock this thread if the site is incomplete and not yet ready, and I advise him to get a copper account or communicate with a marketing manager so he can be advised on how to properly market his platform to this forum.
143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When is best for a player to draw the line? on: March 13, 2024, 11:19:19 PM

Some other gamblers stop playing when the win they first few games, while other continue to chase the loses, and technically ww can tell in accuracy when this things happens, but when is the best time to stop gambling and take a break?

1-when you lose?
2- when you win?

This something that should be settled or addressed before you indulge to gambling when is the right time to quit is it when you lose or when you're winning, it should not be hard for you to quit when you lose, because if you continue to play by adding more money to your bankroll, you're like chasing your losses.
The best way time to take a break or to quit is when you win because you know your limitations and you're not also chasing your losses, because for some people it's hard to lose, they will press more so they can win more.
144  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is there a place for medical discuss? on: March 13, 2024, 05:14:44 PM
This forum will be heading in a different direction if there is a dedicated medical discussion here that is not Cryptocurrency related, all the topics are somewhat related to Cryptocurrency I don't know if OP is aware of Cryptocurrency,  OP could have mistakenly identified this forum forum of different interest because of the presence of the topics that OP mentioned.
145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Create a player list of rights on: March 13, 2024, 04:41:40 PM
I hope @holydarkness could drop here and give his own opinion he is involved in a lot of scam accusations and his opinion and findings are respected, it's interesting to read what will be his opinion about this matter.

This discussion could have been better if we had a poll so that even those who don't want to be part of this discussion could give their approval or disapproval.
146  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Man bet his life savings on 1 spin of Roulette on: March 13, 2024, 04:08:01 PM
It's not only risky but plain stupidity, his family will disown him if he loses that money and if he is single it's a big turn-off for women, and if he is married he'll get a divorce for his reckless decision.
Even if there is consent on his part, he should be advised of the many risks after the bet whether he loses or wins compared to the amount of money he is going to win.
It's hard to trust this kind of individual who is reckless and stupid in his decision.
147  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I GOT SCAMMED FOR 0,85 BTC ON STAKE.COM on: March 13, 2024, 03:04:46 PM

148  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you stake on a potential(obvious) loosing team just for love? on: March 13, 2024, 01:58:18 PM

Question: Can you have so much love for your team to behave like this guy that even when you know your love fans team would loose a match, would you still further stake on the match against your team?
Remember that we are catching funs here and whoever chasing after profits is at its own will.

I always say in my post that there's a possibility of an upset but it depends on who my favorite team is fighting if there's a zero chance that my team can beat the opposing team I prefer to cheer, there's no obligation to bet for your favorite team it's your money and it's your decision unless you don't mind losing money which for me is a big deal even I'm betting for fun I have to take a chance on winning money and I can do that if my chance is 50/50.
149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling : Next Generation Challenges on: March 12, 2024, 11:20:23 AM

This was discussed in the Next.io conference held in New York. They said that online gambling will be more targeted and at the same time it become more of a social activity. Right now we see that an online gambler is gambling in solo with no social connections but this could change in future.
Do they launch a feasibility? is that what majority of online gamblers want, Cryptocurrency online casinos have become popular because of the anonymity they offer to the gamblers and some gamblers just want to separate their gambling activity from social media, It is something to look forward to if this will be accepted by the majority of gamblers, but could be a good option for those sociable gamblers.

Quote
The online gambling companies have to reform themselves as this will be a new demand from the young generation who are coming to online gambling and they need socialization also while gambling (like we used to have in physical gambling).
Unless we see a model platform we can't decide if this is the next big thing but so far the current model is what the majority of gamblers are accepting, the gambling industry is a multi-billion dollar business and it is expected for companies to introduce innovation to get a slice of the market.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you prefer betting your own predictions or from prediction site on: March 11, 2024, 03:43:42 PM
There are gamblers who have great instincts and can forecast games that may end up winning the bet. But they are scared that they may lose. They dont trust their own betting predictions so they would rather go to a gambling prediction site to some daily betting tips.
I don't know how these gamblers have that great instinct and they don't trust themselves to bet on their instinct if you're that good with your analysis and instinct you have to take a risk with yourself first before taking others' tips, it seems these people don't want to blame themselves.

Quote
So i want to know as a gambler that you are, do you feel following those betting predictions from those sites would favour us in gambling more than our own predictions? For me i trust my predictions and i have won more when i predict for myself than letting someone predict for me.
I'll go for my instinct, as a gambler you have to develop your instinct and predictions and just check on other people or from other platforms if you're taking it right, it brings a sense of satisfaction if you hit it right based on your prediction, I sometimes prefer to lose with my own decision than taking other people's prediction.
151  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC hit 1M ? on: March 11, 2024, 12:05:17 PM
I am not more than convinced that Bitcoin will reach $1M in the future.
It seems crazy to me that Bitcoin will ever reach $1 million. It may be our wishful thinking that the price of Bitcoin will rise to a million dollars. Seeing how the price of Bitcoin is increasing day by day many people might imagine that the price of Bitcoin might reach $100k. Bitcoin price hit another new all-time high today. According to today's market the current price of bitcoin is above $71k dollars maybe it is going to cross 80 thousand dollars very soon we can see it before bitcoin halving. From this situation I think it will take until 2080 for the price of Bitcoin to reach $1M dollars and it may not be possible.

One guy who was once the founder of Mcafee predicted and believed that Bitcoin would hit $1 million he even made a challenge to eat a part of his body I will not mention it here, I don't want to be pessimistic that Bitcoin will hit $1 million because I have seen how in the past people doubt that it will hit $500 but it did.

Many people did not believe that it would hit the thousand mark but it did many people did not believe it would recover after it crashed to $5k during the pandemic but it did recover, I don't want to be part of these unbelievers, I believe it will hit $1million and it could be this decade, who knows?
152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It’s unlikely that anyone besides you will be happy with your winnings. on: March 11, 2024, 11:36:27 AM
Low profile as it should be on which it would really be that better that you would really minding about those people around that they wont really be happy on the things that you have achieved.
There would really be always that has something to say and they wont really be that happy on what are the things that you are currently experiencing specially if they have seen that you are better than them.
Such situations will always be around us. especially if you publish the big win you just got. and that can be bad for other people who may not like you that much.
We should as much as possible remain silent and not publicize our gambling wins or losses. that's the best, play alone and enjoy yourself. We use our own money and we bear the risk ourselves. there is no need to share it with other people which could complicate our situation.
Winning in gambling is not something worth bragging you just never know the feelings of other people around you, some people are watching to win so they can at least have a share of your earnings they expect you to share a portion of your earnings and if you fail to share a portion of your earnings they spread negative things about you.
I experienced that myself I never knew a friend was waiting for a share of my winnings when I could not give a portion because I also badly needed money and I was shocked to learn that he was spreading lies behind my back, from then on I just kept my winning to myself, it's safe and you have a peace of mine.
153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Create a player list of rights on: March 10, 2024, 05:32:07 PM
Interesting, idea for someone who is not into gambling discussion, It is worth exploring, and why not.

I like to post my answer here on the thread about why you created this topic

As a non-gambler I took a quick look at their TOS.  It basically says they can demand any information from you at any time, or withhold your coin, or cancel your account.
They do that because on their terms they are compliant with AMLAC and they don't want their platform to be used as a gateway for money laundering they also have an anti-cheat system to back up their action, their action will defer cheaters and money launderers, its for cheaters and scammers.
If your account is clean you have nothing to worry about unless you're playing in a casino with a bad reputation.

Quote
Is this normal in crypto gambling websites?  It gives all the power to the website with a threat of extortion if you complain. :/
A reputable casino will not do that if they cannot back up their action it will have a chilling effect on other players and they may lose their reputation, a complainant can always challenge that through a third-party arbitration if the casino is reputable they will agree to do that.
We have seen that happen, and there are so many reports like that in the scam section
154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drake loses $615k bet on Joshua-Ngannou bout on: March 10, 2024, 02:57:55 PM
Drake thought Francis Ngannou would win but Anthony Joshua knocked out Ngannou in the second round of the match of the heavyweight showdown in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Drake lost $615000.

https://www.thecable.ng/drake-loses-615k-bet-on-joshua-ngannous-bout/amp?/drake-loses-615k-bet-on-joshua-ngannous-bout

This is proof that Drake is a real risk-taker, Ngannou is the underdog here yet he picked Ngannou to be the winner, I wonder with all the losses he's been getting lately, is he not getting advice to take it easy betting that huge amount and showing it off to the public.
People may think that it is ok to bet that huge amount of money or he wants to prove to people that he can bet that amount and it is ok with him.
Anyway it's his money he is now 3 straight losses with his bets, let's see what he'll bet in the coming Fury - Usyk fight, I'm sure he will bet here, he can't resist the temptation not to.
155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you avoid some games because of racism? on: March 10, 2024, 09:42:59 AM

Next time would you choose to not bet on a particular game because you feel the members of the VAR, or the referee are racist, and you are sure that there would be some manipulation?

You mentioned 80% assurance so I'll go for it, I have seen a lot of manipulation and referees and judges manipulating the outcome those deeds are so obvious that you'll want to curse these people so I'll go for it this is gambling if there's a chance to win I need to take it.
There is bad officiating and racism it's the organization's problem you will hate these people but it occurs in any international event why do you bother to be concerned, take a chance to win after you collect your winning, voice your protest.
156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 09, 2024, 01:01:10 AM
This is a big shocker for all of us, Joshua just knocked out Ngannou in one of the nastiest knocks out we've seen in round two, Joshua took only one straight shot on Ngannou's head to flatten Julius, I know that AJ can win the fight but I never thought this could be this easy.

This is the highlight of that one punch knock out

157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Canelo Alvarez - Jaime Munguia May 4 Super Middleweight Championship on: March 08, 2024, 06:15:35 PM
Munguia definitely is aggressive, he is very young. He will go for the upset here, but let's see if Canelo can take the young and motivated Munguia.

Young and aggressive fighters don't scare Canelo anymore, he knows how to exploit their weakness, just like how Mayweather exploited him when he fought Mayweather as a young Canelo, Mayweather taught him a lesson in boxing, so Canelo will bring back the favor and do the same against Munguia.

Munguia also has a lot of Mexican fans and this will divide the Mexicans, some shouting Canelo and others shouting Munguia, this is the reason why he doesn't want to fight Mexicans on his home turf, there will be divisiveness.
158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: March 08, 2024, 05:04:28 PM
I’d like to see Francis win. Might have to toss a couple shekels his way.

We all are, the event is ongoing right now undercard is on the way and it is 1 am midnight here I don't know if I can keep up I have to gulp a lot of caffeine and energy drink I hope these undercards will be short so we can see the two fights we are all waiting for the Zhang - Parker fight and the much awaited main event between Joshua and Ngannou if this fight was held in Las Vegas it should have been noon in my time zone.

Anyway live updates on the fight here

Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou live updates: Fight card results, ring walk times, predictions and more

Just keep refreshing the page for updates per round and fight.

159  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am i bad to this friend if i refuse to loan him some money in bad economy on: March 07, 2024, 10:54:06 PM

Now I am profiting from my Bitcoin investments then and one of my colleagues is now in dear need of financial help, he needs some help, not life-threatening but money, and now I am not ready to loan him any money as long as it affects my overall Bitcoin holdings.

This is a bad time to trade your Bitcoin, you will be disappointed if you give him a loan and you will soon realize that what he had a loan is now 10 times its value, so if it's not life-threatening, just give him a loan that you can afford to give, and ask him to check his other friends so he can complete the money that he needs.
It's ok to say no if the loan is not for a life-threatening situation, just explain to him that it's not your intention not to give him a loan only the circumstances will not you grant his request.
160  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAMMED by HitBTC on: March 07, 2024, 09:58:19 PM

Yeah, it was like 2017-2018 where we hear a lot of accusations against this platform. Nevertheless it was one of the first exchange that I trade when I was a beginner that time and everything went smooth on my end and I was very happy to do trades with them.

Unfortunately, we hear horror stories about them freezing accounts. I'm not a big trader though, so most likely they didn't target my account. But there are some members who were scams and I was surprised to hear their names again after so many years.

Best of luck trying to get back your coins from them.

I thought this was an old thread getting an update because HitBtc is such a piece of old news for traders, it seems OP failed to do diligent research on HitBtc and there's nothing we can do on this, HitBtc is notorious like Yobit in scamming their users, traders should leave their platform especially now that we are in a bull run, you will lose all your coins just like what happened to OP if you're still keeping your coins on this scam exchange.
