1  Other / Meta / Re: Before you give merit to a newly-demoted newbie... on: September 17, 2018, 12:57:46 PM
Yeah, some due diligence is needed. The thing is they might make a really good post that would normally deserve some merit, but once they've received that merit they are just going to fall into old habits, and spam again because they've got their goal, and can continue earning via bounties.

Well, there are some people, like me for example, which are trying to contribute to the forum as per our knowledge, surely I'm not an expert of anything but whatever I have learned, I try to reply based on that.

Till now, I have joined only one airdrop in which no report posting was necessary. No crap in my post history. I seriously ask you, where should I post and what should I post which will be noticed by seniors and maybe they'll reward me with merits?

I seriously want to get at least 10 merits so that I could become a member in this forum and I'm ready to work hard for those merits. Just need some guidance from experts.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The longer the bounty, the fewer the earnings? on: September 12, 2018, 07:53:21 PM
Well, it depends on the pool of the total reward, number of total participants in different campaigns and the difference of payment between lower ranks (Jr member, member etc) and seniors like hero and legendary. If the reward pool is big enough for all, there is no need to leave that bounty and everyone would get good rewards, of course some better than others.

By the way short bounties are always good and more profitable in my opinion.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Identity of Satoshi Nakamoto on: September 11, 2018, 05:59:04 AM
No one knows who he is and it doesn't matter but his name will be remembered always to introduce blockchain technology to us. He might be a private person and that's why he doesn't want to reveal himself and created Bitcoin Smiley
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market is down. on: September 10, 2018, 12:21:31 PM
Any market or say all the markets go up and down and this is perfectly normal. Same is happening with crypto market. Price increased manifold in 2017, so a correction had to happen and we are still in that phase I believe.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I LOVE PANIC SELLERS on: September 06, 2018, 10:26:49 PM
Usually panic dumpers adds to more panic in market and price dumps more quickly. Its true that sometime they may benefit from it if price was to go more under but they don't know it and its just not good for market at that time but it doesn't affect the marlet in long term.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Why all people moan about the price of bitcoin? on: September 05, 2018, 12:36:22 PM
People are here to be rich from crypto, they are not interested in the technology or the development behind it. So whenever price will dump, they'll start crying about it and when it will increase, they'll cry about how they couldn't buy when price was low.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: What I think it will happen to BTC next months on: September 05, 2018, 12:21:19 PM
Whales are there and they'll always be there, nothing can be done about it. Unless BTC reaches 100K and they decide to sell their holdings and people are willing to buy, then maybe a little uniformity can come in the distribution of Bitcoin.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will keep people from getting into cryptocurrency? on: September 03, 2018, 10:42:16 PM
People don't like to take risks with their savings. For some, if it isn't old then its not trustworthy. Some people don't like technology at all, so they won't even use activate mobile/internet banking, forget about investing in crypto and ultimately the volatility and unpredictability are the biggest reasons people don't get into crypto easily.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptocurrencies are going down on: August 31, 2018, 02:20:17 PM
Well, unless we hear some good news regarding bitcoin or crypto in general, I don't think we are going up from this price easily. This market has been in red for long, now I just want to see some green which will stick for few days. I have lost enough, now its time to make some back.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are old coins no more profitable on: August 30, 2018, 10:47:34 PM
Now a days some shit coin comes to market, price gets inflated to 20x of ICO and then comes back and set at ICO price or even lower. This is just manipulation or say gamble. They are not for long term while good old coins are. Everything is down now, but it doesn't mean that they won't grow back. If they have good tech and team behind them, they will grow back and give profits.
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Market is down. on: August 26, 2018, 12:11:38 PM
Jump in the price of bitcoin in 2017 was very sudden and not very normal, so a correction was due which we are still feeling. This is a bear market and this market will recover. Price will increase, maybe not with the pace like in 2017 but btc will grow eventually and so will the market.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose bounty? on: August 24, 2018, 03:05:31 PM
First of all, check the credentials of bounty manager. A good bounty manager is less likely to lead the bounty of a scam project. Second check the social medias of that project, whether they are active or not. Third, look for the rewards being paid. If the rewards are not enough and then it is not worth to spend your weeks on. These three steps are crucial in choosing a good bounty.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I will never join AirDrop programs any more on: August 22, 2018, 09:53:18 AM
Most airdrops are trash but not all. Even if you get 5 good out of 100 airdrops, all the time spent on them is worth it. Besides, you can filter out few scam projects by looking at their social platforms. You can complete an airdrop in less than 5 minutes, so I don't think there is anything to worry.
14  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why I don't Support KYC in cryptocurrency as it is on: August 19, 2018, 06:11:51 AM
Its really a gamble when we give KYC to strangers without even knowing about their credibility. For the same reason, I decided not to invest on those ICOs which requires KYC. I just provide my kyc to those exchanges where I'm going to trade with fiat. KYC for bounties should be stopped everywhere.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Theft on: August 17, 2018, 04:30:52 AM
My ETH funds were stolen and I am sure I didn't give out or handled carelessly the Mnemonic phrase, JSON file, private key nor the key store. Please I want to know ways by which a cryptocurrency wallet could be hacked.
There are many ways to lose your money.

1. You could have downloaded your wallet from the wrong site.
2. You downloaded the wallet from the correct site but during that time the site was hacked and you did not verified the wallet.
3. You clicked in a phishing link or entered your sensitive data in a phishing website.
4. Your computer was compromised and a keylogger was installed.
5. Someone close to you stole your coins.

And that is only out of the top of my head.

Other than all above, there are many scam airdrops are going on and they ask you to sign your wallet before you can claim your coins but the link they provide is not of myetherwallet. There is just small change in spelling or any special character is there. If you did do any airdrop like that and signed your wallet, that can also be the reason for which your private key was compromied.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH can go under 250 USD! Is this the bearish market ever in 2018? on: August 17, 2018, 04:19:33 AM
Market is still not stable and it can go more down than the current levels too. I would just wait for the market to be stable before putting my buying orders or I'll just put my buying orders at very low prices.

Be cautious and do not trade with feelings. Those low prices are always tempting to force you to buy.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earns token on: August 16, 2018, 11:38:36 AM
Follow the few simple steps. First join their social medias specially Telegram and discord if they have it. Most of the projects do some small competitions and giveaways on their telegram channel.

Then join the airdrops which may or may not give you satisfactory amount. Then you can join the bounty program which runs for many weeks and gives a good amount of tokens. You can do all these without investing anything except your time.
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BEWARE OF SCAM AIRDROPS AND BOUNTIES! on: August 16, 2018, 11:34:49 AM
-Look out for the bounties and airdrops in the bounty and airdrop listing- website.
-Look for the response it gets on bitcointalk.
-Read the whitepaper of the ICOs properly and understand the tokenomics.

I prefer these to be some of the basics that we can do in order to stay aware of scam bounties and airdrops.
Well you can't really say whether the ICOs are scam or not, I have seen many bounties with long threads on BTT, but guess what they turn out to be scam in the end!1 Embarrassed

Right but we can filter out more than 50% of those projects which by going through their social medias. If the devs and admins are available and online plus the idea and the team is good, then they can be trusted. Always look out for all the socila medias before doing any airdrop or bounty. It'll save a lot of efforts and time.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin -Investors first choice- bleeds the altcoins on: August 16, 2018, 11:30:56 AM
BTC is the first coin and most people believe in BTC more than other coins. Almost all the informed investors have more than 50% of their portfolio in BTC for the same reason and that's why alts are bleeding more than Bitcoin. Trust is the big factor here. This is just a bear market, it'll end sooner or later
20  Economy / Economics / Re: How does a decline U.S. Dollar can affect Crypto? on: August 09, 2018, 09:04:55 AM
Value of dollar doesn't affect crypto much. There might be some temporary decline in price of crypto if dollar crashed  but in long term, everything will be fine.

For the replacement part, Bitcoin or any crypto currency can never replace fiat because of many factors, mainly due to high volatility.
