The future is decentralision, not centralisation.

'One day everyone will use China's digital currency'.

Quote
Chandler Guo was a pioneer in cryptocurrency, the digital currencies that can be created and used independently of national central banks and governments.

In 2014 he set up an operation to produce one of those currencies, Bitcoin, in a secret location in western China.

"Mining" Bitcoin is a power hungry enterprise involving dozens of computers so he used power from a hydroelectric station, in partnership with a local Chinese government official.

At its peak his machines were capable of mining 30% of the world's Bitcoin. He believed Bitcoin would one day change the world and replace the dollar.

But now he sees a new force emerging - a payment system created by the Chinese state and known as Digital Currency Electronic Payment (DCEP).

It's really a digital version of China's official currency, the yuan, and Mr Guo feels DCEP will become the dominant global currency. "One day everyone in the world will be using DCEP," he says.

Just another loser having sold their bitcoins and holding alt coin bags.

Expect the runaway hyperinflation to begin in about 10 years
The runaway hyperinflation is beginning now!

Inflation for the average person is measured by the change in prices for food and everyday expenses. For Fed inflation is measured by the difference between the rate banks get free money from Fed (zirp) and the rate they lend this money to the borrowers.

Damn those nanny-state drivers' licenses.

Am I being forced to be responsible for other people's safety?

If people don't want to share the road with unlicensed drivers, they should stay home.  Angry

I work hard at being a safe driver. I resent the deep state questioning my ability to drive safely.

Start working hard to be a safe pedestrian!
Soon you'll need a license to exit your home and walk down the street.
Slaves deserve their destiny!

Mask fetishism is a desire to see a subject wearing a mask or taking off a mask. The mask may be a Halloween mask, a surgical mask, ninja mask, gas mask, a latex mask, or any other kind of mask.

Nobody's tracking you or trying to suppress your rights. Trust me,

Don't trust. Verify.
Numbers speak for themselves!
Reality is very different from what you've been told on the TV.

Facemasks are muzzles. This is how wild and free animals are tamed in the Covid-19 circus.

The future is ‘CLEAR’ and it’s Dystopian: Virus hype ushers in a Covid 19-84 nightmare of restricted access

so unfortunately there is a slight difference between wearing seatbelts and wearing masks. if people mistake a safety procedure with some weird political bullshit and choose not to wear seatbelts I could care less and yes, let them all try to be next on the Darwin´s Awards list.

same is true for the brainless mask opponents; let the power of natural selection do its thing and piss on their graves.

the problem is that those idiots do not only put their own lives at risk, but also put the health of others at risk. how can such an easy health safety measure become so minblowing stupidly politicized? it is just a barrier to lower the risk of infection, it does not hurt and it is not expensive.

but ok, then let them choose to not wear masks and go and fuck themselves. there is a solution for that. I am wearing FFP3 masks of the highest quality if I meet others inside in environments where infection rate is high or if it gets too crowded outside.

problem solved.

they are expensive, yes, but the safe & relaxed feeling in that weird moment when a hillbilly/redneck/fucktard covid denier doesn't practice social distancing and breathes in your neck while standing in line behind you is....  priceless.

People that are afraid of being infected should stay home with masks, hazmat suits, space suits, or any other carnival suits of their liking. Instead they try to go to the places where free and healthy people go and infect other people with their psychotic nightmares.

yeah. it is going in that direction.  funny thing is that is a Russian backed website.  I guess they should know a thing or two about travel restriction. Grin

Funny thing is this Russian backed website still allows free journalism while American backed websites don't.

Remember guys, Bitcoin can't always go up, there needs to period of reprieve where support levels can form and momentum can resume. Going too high too fast can lead to a dramatic crash when shit hits the fan.

Obviously, you're new to Bitcoin. I was told that when bitcoin hit $10. I was told that when bitcoin hit $100. I was told that when bitcoin hit $1000. I hope you have not sold all your bitcoins just because "Bitcoin can't always go up"...

Are you a HODLER or a PANIC SELLER?

Very few panic sellers left. There will be lots of panic buyers. Just pick a pack of popcorn.

There is no need for such a complex explanation.
<...>
Sorry, but your explanation and conclusions are nonsense.
GrayScale is not managing other's bitcons in the way you just wrote, and it is not GrayScale getting 20% return.
This is why a complex explanation is needed.

Whatever.
You are free to give them your bitcoins and get 20% return on your investment.
You were warned. It is a complex scam but none the less it is a scam!
14  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: June 26, 2020, 07:17:34 AM
So, how do they 'manage' 400,000 bitcoins to get 20% return?
And risk-free?

Since shares trade at 120% premium in order to sell at 120% premium 6 months later you have to buy at 120% premium now. What is the point of doing that?
Is Grayscale a ponzi?

I spent a few good hours detailing answers these question in Everything you wanted to know about Grayscale BTC Trust but were afraid to ask!. Sorry for the repeated auto-promotion, but you kept asking questions I answered there!

There is no need for such a complex explanation. There is only one way of 'managing' other peoples bitcoins and get 20% return. You sell them as soon as you get them hoping for a 20% price drop to buy 20% more bitcoins. You just need to cover the fact that selling pressure is originating from one entity.

Conclusion:
Grayscale shares will trade at 120% premium until the moment they start  trading at 80% discount.

Unbelievable.

Grayscale added 19,879 BTC to their Bitcoin Trust since last week (53,588 BTC since the halving).

Bitcoin miners only produced 7,081 BTC since last week (39,544 BTC since halving).

That's almost 400,000 BTC under management for $GBTC

So, how do they 'manage' 400,000 bitcoins to get 20% return?
And risk-free?

Most of those BTC is not Grayscale buying coins (if that was true, at those rates prices would've mooned by now) it's people transferring their BTC into Grayscale for shares so they can arbitrage the premium later. e.g. transfer BTC into Grayscale, receive equivalent share, 6months later(min hold time) sell that share for 120% (Grayscale shares trade at premium) buy back your BTC on real exchange and pay for hookers and blow with your newly earned 20% almost risk free, rinse repeat.

Since shares trade at 120% premium in order to sell at 120% premium 6 months later you have to buy at 120% premium now. What is the point of doing that?
Is Grayscale a ponzi?

"SCOOP: Fintech giant @PayPal plans to offer direct sales of cryptocurrency to its 325 million users, according to three people familiar with the matter."

https://www.coindesk.com/paypal-venmo-to-roll-out-crypto-buying-and-selling

I'm really excited by this news.

Nothing to be too much excited at. Status quo gatekeepers will offer us everything they can think of just to part us from our bitcoins.

How this would force us to sell our bitcoins? I don't understand. Please, elaborate.

Currently, PayPal can be used as an alternative means for withdrawing funds from exchanges such as Coinbase, but this would be a first in terms of offering direct sales of crypto.

“My understanding is that they are going to allow buys and sells of crypto directly from PayPal and Venmo,” a well-placed industry source told CoinDesk. “They are going to have some sort of a built-in wallet functionality so you can store it there.”
I think it is obvious that anyone  used to direct buys/sells on exchanges or OTC won't be lured to sell on paypal.

People won't be lured to sell on pypal. People will be lured to give paypal their bitcoins and in exchange paypal will give them bitcoin IOUs. This is exactly how people will be parted from their bitcoins!

To date, the situation is bad, I think that we can go to a local resistance level of ~ 10000, but there are no forces to overcome this level.
Don't worry. The Fed will print more trillions and force not only 10000 but 100000 and more!
