1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] X-CASH | Open-source | Public, private tx | DPOS based CN coin on: September 02, 2021, 09:03:37 PM
Hello everyone,

Today, we are truly excited to share with you this amazing news:

We have joined the Dragon's Syrup program from QuickSwap Exchange!

The program is a liquidity incentive where anyone can earn $XCASH by staking dQUICK in a staking pool. You will also be able to earn LP farming reward by providing liquidity in the XCASH/QUICK pool, rewarded in $QUICK.

This is an incredible opportunity and a giant step for X-Cash, as it will bring XCASH in the hands of more people, as well as bringing truly needed liquidity to the project. I recommend that you have a look at the other pools in the Dragon's Syrup program to have a feel of the TVL and APY reward that we will be able to attain with X-Cash!

With the success of the program, the CEX listing on Tier 1 and Tier 2 exchange will be a walk in the park!

If they couldnt keep their word years ago, I can just imagine now Smiley

And yet we are still here with exciting news coming up soon. What have you been doing?

The DPOPS delegate registration is opened!

Here are important links to get you started:

  • Delegates explorer - delegates.xcash.foundation | Check the registered delegates, and find how to vote for them. This will move a lot during the registration, so put it in your favourites!
  • Voting/staking tutorials - docs.xcash.foundation | Start voting now to earn rewards as soon as DPOPS start !
  • CLI Wallet 2.0.0 - github.com | You can still use wallet 1.5.0 until block 800,000, but you will need the new wallet 2.0.0 to vote.
  • Android wallet 1.1.0-beta - github.com | The newly release android wallet enables you to vote for a delegate directly from your phone.
  • Run a delegate node - docs.xcash.foundation | Documentation about the DPOPS and how to get started running a node, and get elected into the top 50.

From now until the block 800,000, the X-Cash blockchain will keep working as before, except for the fact that you can start voting!

Today, we are proud to release among our dear community the new and updated X-Cash website!

https://www.xcash.foundation/

Although the current website has faithfully served us, we wanted to create something that truly encapsulate the spirit of X-Cash, and facilitate the access to information on the project; after a lot of sweat and hard work, we are excited to show this new version to you!

What you can expect to find:
- An updated landing page to better understand the X-Cash project.;
- A fully hosted blog to share the latest X-Cash development and stories;
- A full section for contributors to check on the latest available bounty projects, open contributors position, and soon a place to propose community-funded projects;
- A step by step guide to help new joiners navigate into X-Cash, and much more!

Although most of the website, visuals, plan and features are mostly complete, It is still very much a work in progress, and there is still much to add, but your feedback will be more than welcome.

Also:

when a lot of altcoins in green colour, this coin dump so hard now
what happend ? the team still active to developing this project, right ? or they already sell their xcash coin to buy bitcoin ?

I don't really know what they are doing right now but all I can say is that they are full of promises and haven't really brought anything to the table since a year ago. 1 programmer is programming their so called product "DPOPS" but that's about it, which isn't really new and isn't really going to do anything at this point. They don't really isn't doing anything except that. So yeah, it's pretty much a dead coin in my opinion.

And they already dump their coins to us, at least from what I've heard.

We are still active and very much alive, the DPOPS is on track and will pave the way for the next features. We are not selling coins as can attest the reserve proof of the premine. And we are actually still performing the buyback of 800M coin to replenish the company segregated funds.

I invite you to join the Discord where we have gathered the community and check this information by yourself Smiley

the project is dead!! and the teams sell all coin and enjoy their hoilday!!!

Hello, no, the project is far from dead, and we are not in "holiday", but working remotely as part of the country mandatory lockdown. I will reply here with a message from Guilhem, the founder of the project, that he posted a few days ago on Discord and might address your concerns.

Quote
Hello everyone,
I am going to try to address some of the concerns that have been written here.

First of all, we understand your concerns and, for some, if not most of them, they are legit. We are working as hard as we can, with the means that we have, and DPOPS has been delayed several times already. So, it is entirely normal and expected to wonder if something wrong is going on or ask for the reasons of such a delay.

These delays can be broken down in three significant reasons:

increase in complexity/features: the current design of DPOPS is thousands of miles away from the original "Proof-of-Stake" we announced at the launch of the project. We included Byzantine Fault Tolerant algorithm, Verifiable Random Functions, Decentralized DB features, not mentioning the P2P part, and all the rest ...
To summarize, this is not a fork of any project, and Zach has written everything from scratch. And because we review our work regularly, we decided to add features, rework some part as the development was going on. The fact that we didn't do an ICO has given us a lot more room for such improvements (and delays) as we are not rushing to launch an unfinished product.

underappreciation of testing phase: to be honest, not all delays can be explained by additional features. There is one part where we can, in full transparency, say that we have not been as good as we should have, and that's the estimate of the testing phase. What we thought would take weeks has turned into months. Without going in unnecessary details, the complexity of DPOPS is leading to many edge cases that the testing phase has shown several areas of required improvements. If we were in any other industries, we would probably have rushed this or put some of the details on the side. But this is a cryptocurrency, and we cannot afford any significant failure of the code once this goes live. I know most of us in the community understand and support that.

lack of resources: when we initially designed the project, we chose not to perform an ICO for all the right reasons that you know. We still had a plan for a private sale that would have allowed us to raise additional funding and increase the team size. Because of the bad cryptocurrency environment, we chose to only sell a small part of the coins (~2 bn) at a price that was lower than we would have expected. It is a strategical decision, and it can be challenged, but I am happy we found the resources internally to keep supporting the project and not be greedy to sell coins. The good news is that we are still working on the project, and we will keep supporting the project throughout 2020 and beyond.

To increase the reach of the project, accelerate & extend the development, and retribute some of the people who are helping us from the start, we have worked for the past 3 months on a Builder's Program. Those who have been working on open source projects know how much it can be complicated from governance, contribution guideline, and retribution perspective. Paul has been putting a great effort, and I am confident this will set us apart from the rest of the market.
This will go live next week with a full open-sourcing of X-Cash developments, starting with the android wallet.

The road is long, but when you put great minds like Zach, a supporting community, and the resilience & patience to build something truly innovative, it can only work. Thanks for all the support.

I hope this addresses your concerns, in the meantime, I invite you to check our progress on our GitHub, https://github.com/X-CASH-official, and please join us in the development through the builders' program that will be released soon on the organization repo.

Hello everyone !

X-Cash Foundation, Builders' Program, airdrop, GUI wallets.. This is a long read! We are excited to give you news on some projects we have been preparing for a while now.
Have a look here --> https://medium.com/x-cash/x-cash-foundation-contributions-the-builders-program-and-so-much-more-73d7d10ab1e6

Hello paul, when do you plan to start your signature campaign? It was being planned since last year and any ETA on the start of the bounty?

With the Signature Campaign, we are planning to bring more visibility to the project, so we would like to kick it off once the beta of the DPOPS is out

Any news about what is going on with the project and what will happen in the future?
your social media stopped providing information about its current development last month, I hope everything is fine and going as planned.
The market looks better now, slowly everything is recovering. Do not miss this chance, the demand will show its magic again.

Hello!
Yes indeed we have slowed down the communication on social media since our last conference: https://twitter.com/XCashCrypto/status/1216670545309204481
We have lot of stuff in the work but we would like to properly introduce it once it's ready. But in the short:
- We are still working on the DPOPS, Zach has prepared 20 VMs to multiply the number of tests;
- We are working with someone to create a signature campaign on BTCtalk once the DPOPS is live;
- A new GUI desktop wallet and an Android wallet will be out this month
- X-Cash is open source at core, and we are opening new contributions to onboard skilled developers. We are preparing our GitHub to open it for outside contribution: https://github.com/X-CASH-official

The health of the market is indeed improving, and we want to have the best conditions for X-Cash !

Quick News

Hello to everyone !
We would like to take the time and reassure the community about lateness in the planning of the release of the DPOPS.

As you may know, we have a team of dedicated people in the community helping us with the DPOPS development during the alpha phase. A lot has been done already, many things have been corrected thanks to their help and dedication. You can check the latest daily commits: https://github.com/X-CASH-official/XCASH_DPOPS/commits/master
We have also introduced a bug bounty for the alpha, which brought interesting results and a great bug hunt.
We are now sure that we will continue the bug bounty through the beta and further in the project in order to open it to everyone in the community.

Now, the philosophy is as follows: we want all of the features and adjustments done during the alpha to ensure that the beta goes smoothly. This means improving the code of the DPOPS, but also and foremost improve the installation process of the DPOPS to make it easy and accessible. Our aim is to release a finished and bug-free network update.

We also have stuff in the work in parallel:
- The patent for the voting system has been filed (after the first exchanges with the patent office in a few months we will be able to give you more information on the technology that we have developed!)
- We are working on improving the UX of X-Payment to enhance onboarding and deploy it on as many communities as possible.
- As mentioned in the latest AMA (I invite you to check our latest interviews https://youtu.be/cK2tsuRWsk0
https://twitter.com/XCashCrypto/status/1189633369585278976 ), we are also working on a new multiplatform GUI wallet. We want to bring a functional beta version to the community for testing and bug hunting, so you will hear more from that soon!

In any way, this will be in the recap of 2019 that we will publish on Medium before the end of the year.
Have a good day everyone, and thank you for your unwavering support!

guys, whatever you do, DO NOT EVER USE HOTBIT. i sent coins there. it mentioned payment id but said "optional" so i didn't input that. my coins never showed up. so i contacted support and they asked for txid's which i sent them, they then asked for screenshots and tx id's again with transaction history which i again sent them. they then asked for various other screenshots all of which i sent them. you can clearly see my tx's on the blockchain. they have no wsaid the ycan't verify them and will send them back to the original senders wallets. i said ok do that then. that was 1 week ago and still no coins back in my wallet. now they are saying it will take up to 3 MONTHS. months to send my coins back?Huh what a joke!!

Sorry to hear about this. Please be reminded that X-CASH's supported exchange are listed here: https://x-network.io/#partners
We are working in the background to improve the situation with them, notably on displaying the address information properly.
ALthough it is out of our reach, please let us know if we can help you.

Approximately around a year has passed and the airdrop should be finished after 12 months, right? How is the progress so far? when will the masternode feature be enabled on the network? why there is no update for 2 months?

Hey, we have indeed focused our lines of communication on Discord for direct contact and Twitter mostly for quick news. We want to dynamize this thread again, notably with a signature campaign among other bounties.
In short, we have launched the alpha of the DPOPS (I invite you to check the yellowpaper -> https://x-network.io/whitepaper/XCASH_Yellowpaper_DPoPS.pdf ) and it's moving forward satisfyingly. We will soon switch to beta.

I encourage you to check our Twitter https://twitter.com/XCashCrypto where we hosted last week a live AMA discussing our latest development.
Thank you for your response, I just want to remind you that not all of us are able to use Discord or have time to search the information about the project on many social media. It is better to post something significant about the improvement of the project and everything you think is important. I have joined the project from the beginning but because a lot of messages popped out from the Telegram channel, I decided to get out of the group and only keep watching this thread. That was why I am asking about the progress after checking it for 2 months without seeing anything.

Thanks a lot for the valuable feedback. Because the messaging activity was reducing here, we wrongly assumed that it wasn't checked as much as before. We will make a point to restore activity here.

To do a brief summary of the last 2 months:
- Here is the latest bi-monthly recap : https://medium.com/x-cash/july-august-2019-project-update-98610ff1d4ef, the next one we are writing at the moment for September and October.
- We have started the DPoPS alpha: https://medium.com/x-cash/x-cash-2-0-dpops-release-announcement-631795f2e8b1, and latest public update https://twitter.com/XCashCrypto/status/1186211016578871296
- We are writing a patent  for an electronic voting system SaaS that we are developing at the moment that will leverage the technology we are working on with X-Cash, https://twitter.com/XCashCrypto/status/1191658195435114496
- We are starting soon a contributor program that will reward participation in promoting and helping to develop X-Cash: https://twitter.com/XCashCrypto/status/1189133965480865792
And we had an AMA recapitulating most of these points and more recently: https://twitter.com/XCashCrypto/status/1189633369585278976

I've tried to verify my phone on my X-bank account  but I am always getting an "internal error" message, or something like that, and sms verification message is not sent to me. I have tried at different times. Any clues on the cause? I have a Russian number, and Russian Federation numbers seem to be accepted in X-bank.

This seems to be an issue with our SMS verification provider. We are contacting them to get more information
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]X-CASH | First CNv8 based coin with public & private transactions on: July 07, 2019, 12:41:49 PM
A serious problem affecting X-bank: if you lose your phone you may lose all your money.
This is what is happening to me.
I've lost my phone, and with it my phone number, since I don't like to have a contract with phone companies.
Since IP typically changes now and then on your Internet-connected PC, X-bank didn't allow me to enter my account, even though I had set 2ath. It has sent me an email to unlock my new IP.
However, without my phone number I could not enter my email address any more either. Yes, also email providers nowadays are happy to verify you again and again though your phone number, as soon as you are changing IP or browser or whatever.
So now I am not able to enter my X-bank account any more, even though I have done nothing wrong, I didn't lose my password and I didn't lose my 2auth (I had the 2auth on my lost mobile, but I also had it backuped on my tablet).
In my X-bank account I had deposited 2 Million X-cash coins so that I could get the airdrop.
Now I am denied access to my funds.
This totally sucks.
Wasn't crypto invented to that we the people could stop getting screwed by banks?
So this totally sucks twice as much.
Seriously, guys, that's a serious bug in your security setup. People in crypto lose money if they do mistakes, but the way you have designed it people may lose access to their funds if they just lose their mobile phone. At least, make the email verification after IP change an option people can chose to activate and deactivate. Losing access to your funds is simply unacceptable.
Very uncool, for a bank, even more uncool for a crypto bank.

Hello Satosho Kakamolto,

Sorry you lost your phone and you had to go through these hardships. First of all, I would like to assure you that we are able to provide help and restore your access to your account. Don't hesitate to reach out to us or anyone in the team for help, we are always responsive.
 From what I understand, the fact that you lost your phone isn't the issue, but more that you lost access to your email address, henceforth the responsibility doesn't fall upon us. Your email service provider has designed tools to help you get back access to your account. We are working constantly on the x-bank to bring new security features to ensure that your funds remain safe. We will provide the possibility to give a backup email address in the future to help restore accounts in case of email default such as the one your experienced.

Please reach out to us for further support on Discord -> https://discord.gg/4CAahnd
