21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine a good ICO project? on: September 21, 2018, 08:44:28 AM
for me, first of all , they have to have a working platform down before anything else. good community, strong project idea, available developers willing to take questions and not just get vexed every time a question about the future is asked. Though a project having all these can still be scam, but it is considerably lesser risk by the time you factor in all these requirements.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you selling your altcoins so soon? on: September 20, 2018, 10:58:54 PM
Many people have lost fate in crypto due to the dragging near market hence they are trying to cut losses and pull out by selling all their holdings. The smarter ones though are waiting it out and doing every thing they can to amass more , invest more to earn more profits when the bull run comes.
23  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Developer Interview Questions on: September 20, 2018, 04:44:24 PM
One thing that has to be noted during these interviews is that nobody can know all. Most programming recruitment interviews are just to make sure you understand the basics of the job be it blockchain development or other forms of development. This is the case because as long as you have the basics, there Are a thousand and one resource materials and even already made code on the web to achieve whatever you want to achieve. You just need the understanding to be able to put them to use. Asking interviewees write simple code to test logic or find bugs is a way to go about testing their basic understanding.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you trust ICO Rating sites? on: September 20, 2018, 04:09:39 PM
They really are biased. Icos pay to get listed on them so it makes sense that the higher pay gets better ratings . Lack of content in most icos is not considered with their fake experts with fake linkedin profiles. Its amazing how every body wants to make a quick buck in crypto.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is airdrop a good idea before ICO? on: September 14, 2018, 11:05:03 AM
it is a good way to draw attention as most projects are doing it now. the airdrops bring attention to the project as most participants perform marketing tasks such as retweeting , wearing signatures and posting thereby showing the project to potential investors. its actually great. bounties is another good way. when it comes to advertising icos, doing airdrops concurrently can be a good idea.
26  Other / Archival / Re: ICO without whitepaper on: September 13, 2018, 04:02:34 PM
Ico without whitepaper. One word, SCAM. Any project the has no whitepaper and wants to collect money from individuals to sponsor the project is a scam in my opinion.what are the individuals investing their money into. And most that don't have a whitepaper also have no working platform. An endless loop of uncertainties is not worth any investments.
27  Other / Archival / Re: So many Bounties-Which one is trusted? on: September 13, 2018, 03:56:20 PM
There's no way to really know if a bounty is trusted as they only pay when the bounty is over. Will the money be worth it?. Will you even get paid ?. Those are questions that arise when it comes to bounties . We just have to research the project and do them in good faith that we will get what we earn. Bounty Lord looks a pretty good site to get them from. Checking sigs on here can also be another source
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 usd enough to start trading ? on: September 12, 2018, 10:30:45 AM
There's no amount too small as long as you have required skill. you could build 100 dollars into a thousand dollars in a matter of weeks with the right knowledge of how to go about trading. you could also lose your money if you are not careful. So it depends on you , no money is too small. Just be sure it's something you can afford to lose as the experts say.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH is $174. It is the bottom of the chart. on: September 12, 2018, 10:26:33 AM
Eth is really crashing to pieces and this will continue to be the case as most projects keep using the platforms for icos and dump the eth after these icos. They never hold on to them. These dumps are what's causing eth to slide. Leading to panic of holders and even more dumps. I don't think there's a way out of this , except other platforms used for icos come to prominence and share the burden with ETH. If not, it'll keep sliding
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any signature bounty campaign for newbies ?? on: September 07, 2018, 06:58:55 AM
I doubt there's a signature bounty for newbies as most airdrops don't even bother making newbie signatures. To participate in bounties, be active here and push your account to at least junior member then you can see bounties to participate in. The higher your rank on here, the more you'd get paid by the project.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Very soon we will see a new wave of market growth!!! on: September 06, 2018, 07:20:28 AM
its quite evident that this is a market correction and things will bounce back. but the issue is we didn't think it would last this long and there are no signs of recovery yet. That's what is bothering the new investors. with the constant rejection of bitcoin etfs, we need huge news to bump this correction and restore the faith of investors. Only then can we see consistent greens. 2018 has been a really long bearish year.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum $ 218 is a bottom or a springboard. on: September 06, 2018, 07:15:48 AM
EOS is pulling a lot of crowd with the moves they are making and i'm going to agree with you that taking second place from eth is a possibility. But if they tow the same path eth has, it will still meet its demise. i feel eth will still recover though as the markets are generally bad and every altcoin is affected. lets see what the end of 2018 brings. i'm optimistic.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto advice for newbie on: September 06, 2018, 07:10:26 AM
if ever there is a time to invest, its now. but as a newbie, you'd be better served observing and learning and picking the right projects to invest in. Just jumping in to investing now can cause you to lose huge sums of money as some projects might not recover from this consistent market dumping. so , observe and learn. one more thing, never invest more than you can lose. crypto is too volatile for that.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't get carried away! on: September 04, 2018, 09:16:03 PM
This should pretty Much be the message now. Don't get carried away by panic, fud, fomo and the rest of them especially seeing reds. The bulls will come back and when they do , we will all smile. This is a learning and maturity period especially for those that came into crypto during the bubble of December 2017 and January 2018.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still HODL? on: September 04, 2018, 09:12:32 PM
Lol , pretty awesome dream of lambos filled with women and cocaine. But on a more serious note, holding is the best now because selling at these prices is ridiculous except the exchange rate for your country is pretty messed up to the dollar. If not, selling at these prices will only fetch you peanuts which you can get way more in a few months if you just patiently hold.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: wallet for Ethereum on: September 04, 2018, 09:10:24 PM
There are many good wallets to store ethereum and other ethereum platform based tokens. One of these is imtoken which I use but I think the most popular is my ether wallet (mew). Both are pretty safe. Just remember not to expose your private key.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will China ACTUALLY ban ICO’s? on: August 30, 2018, 08:18:22 AM
The ico ban must have come due to a reason and till that reason is satisfied, I don't think they Will go back on the ban. Many people have lost their money through those and I think it's why they effected the ban making it illegal. People would still invest because you can't really trace them.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think this year will be bad year for ICOS? on: August 30, 2018, 08:13:54 AM
I doubt it would as a lot of people have lost faith in them due to the proliferation of scam icos. Many people now believe that most projects that do icos now are mainly scams even if they have a brilliant idea they are trying to push out. Maybe with time icos would start gaining the trust they once had but I doubt it would be this year.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: All my tokens in MEW stolen! on: August 28, 2018, 06:06:57 PM
Exposing your private key on the web is the reason for this hack. Even sending your private key acroos email is very risky as sniffers can be used to capture your key and this is used against you. Saving as draft is better. Even when mining on mew, I would advice to use other means to import your wallet apart from the private keys. A lot can go wrong.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My opinion about ETH on: August 28, 2018, 06:04:53 PM
In my opinion , ETH is now more hot than BTC because the explosion of ICOs base on ETH Blockchain. During the recent dip, ETH price even a little come up, all altcoins and BTC holders lose funds but ETH holders still have profit. So i think that ETH will reach BTC price this year. What do you think guys?
looks like its been a while you posted this and the trend is the opposite currently. I used to be in that line of thought thinking Thevecpansion of use of the ETH platform would cause it to have high prices but the dumps after the icos is really causing ETH prices to deplete in any little dip
