Thanks nixpins
Setting up your own mining pool is a reasonably complex process.
The mining pool software is open source, but it still requires quite a bit of time to get it all working - once that is done you need to make sure you have good enough hardware to run it all one, and then you have a pool with no front end. There are some open source pool front ends linked here on the forums, but I don't know how mature any of them are. I installed a few of them before deciding to code my own.

We already have a thread over here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=17310.0 but a few people have messaged me saying they cannot reply to the topic, so I've posted here so Newbies can get involved, and ask questions!Mineco.in 0% Tax Mining PoolPool Features (with explanations for newbies) - Latest versions of all software (Less stale information sent to your miner)
- Long Polling enabled (this improves your connection to the pool)
- 0% Tax on the pool (all the rewards for the found block go to the users)
- SSL Certificate on the web interface (so your information won't get stolen)
- Automated Payouts (money will get sent to your bitcoin wallet automatically)
- Pretty graphs for your miners
Please feel free to ask any questions here, or join us in IRC for a chat!

In GUI Miner do you only se one card available from the dropdown ? If you look at this guide, you can see the Device section inside GUI miner : https://mineco.in/beginners_guide_to_pooled_bitcoin_miningIt should show all of your cards there. If it's not, then the reason is probably because you need to plug a monitor into the second card and it should appear.

Slowly getting more power signed up.
Many people have asked what kind of system we are running, is it a VPS etc?
It's not a VPS, it's running on dedicated server running just the pool.
Also people have asked about instant payouts - this feature is currently being added.
Come chat to use in #mineco on freenetnode !

How long has it been running ? CPU mining is slow, and it might take some time even to get 1 share.

I'm going to stick to suggesting people get their own wallet primarily though - I think it's for the best.

I'm using 3 x 5850's and here are the stats for them. They are in this order in my case ( so 2 runs the hottest ) There doesn't seem to be much performance difference between them

You should have a backup pool ready to use if you can't connect to one.
Did you say you can connect to all other pools or not ? "not so much" doesn't really explain ?
Are you behind a firewall? Are ports closed ?

It's probably just a dodgy card. I'd RMA it, and maybe get some more airflow going over the replacement I've currently got 3 x 5850s in one case, and the middle one runs at around 85 degrees at 900mhz core / 300mhz memory with the help of a desk fan!

Hi Hamburger,
Good Idea, I've added that as an alternative method for getting a bitcoin wallet.

You can use an SSH tunnel to forward ports: ssh -L <localPort>:<RemoteHost:Port> login@ssh server then if you connect to locahost on the localport your traffic will get moved though the firewall!

You've gotta start somewhere right ? I've now added a JSON API, and forum signature for each user, available in the user account area. It could possibly look a little bit nicer no ?

Just to warn you that the 0.5 build in the .tar.gz file doesn't work correctly.
Ius has a fix, I think it's been pushed to github but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm trying to post details on a new mining pool, I've already started discussing coding in some other posts, but have now lost access

Great Job Daveout,
I started working on my own Rails front end yesterday for pushpool.
I've had a brief look and I like your implementation, you have loads more knowledge than me about Bitcoin and reading over your code is helping a lot.
I'm hoping to get a test pool for my implementation up next week, I am interested to see how well rails copes with it.
