Seriously you guys are the best, I'm holding patiently for the Layer 2s to roll out. This is the last authentic gem with an authentic team. Well done!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / XCASH VIDEO BOUNTY 2,000,000 XCASH (approx $90) per winning video. X-VIDEO on: January 18, 2021, 12:18:36 PM

Contest to create a video series explaining X-Cash (Taking place in discord)

Choose from the list of topics. Multiple entrants will choose the same topic, the entries will then be put to community vote, and the most voted for entry for each topic will receive a prize.
For example: Bob, James, and Peter choose to create videos for the 'What is DPoPS' topic. This creates a competition between three entrants. The entrants submit their entries to the Caco via DM (in Discord) in the form of a youtube link. Caco then reposts all three entries to the contests channel at the same time. The winner will be chosen by community vote using thumbs up emojis   48 hours after being posted by the X-Cash team to the contests (Discord) channel.

If a contestant wants to create for a topic that’s not on the list, they should message Caco or miaumiau (in discord), and they’ll decide whether the topic is suitable to enter into the competition, but after the topic has been approved, it will be put up for everyone else, giving anyone the chance to make a video for the additional topic. To confirm that you’re making a video, choose your desired topic with a thumbs up emoji (in discord). After a sufficient amount of videos have been created for a topic, the entries for that topic will be put up for community vote (in discord).
Entrants can submit for multiple topics.

Topics:
                  ► What is DPoPS?

                  ► How DPoPS works?

                  ► How DPoPS Consensus works?

                  ► What is a delegate?

► What are shared, group and solo delegates??

► How to choose a delegate?

In the case of only one entry for a topic over a prolonged period of time, the X-Cash team will decide whether that entry becomes the de facto winner.
You can expand on a listed topic and make a video on a specific aspect of an already listed topic for example: X-Cash uses verifiable random functions, and this would come under the voting topic, but you think you can give more depth to that specific topic-- subtopics are valid topics.

How to enter:
1. Choose the topic you want to create for with  , or message Caco or miaumiau with the unlisted topic.
2. Upload your entry to youtube and add the topic as title. Then DM Caco or miaumiau the link, along with the topic you're submitting for.
3. Wait for the announcement for the voting period for that topic, Caco or miaumiau will post all entries for that topic at the same time in #promotions-contests.
4. Vote for the entry you wish to win with  , 48 hours after the voting period begins, the winner for that topic will be announced.
.
Requirements:
● Videos should be short (no greater than 60 seconds) – the shorter the better.
● In any style of animation.
● Try to entertain ;-).
● Entries must be of a sufficient quality: entries which are poorly made may not be accepted.
● Explain the topic as concise and understandable as you can-- simple language.
● Don’t use copyrighted material, and don't give false information.
● If possible use the material (footage, images, ...) provided by X-Cash
● In the case of additional topics, the topic must be X-Cash related.

All entrants agree to X-CASH reusing the work they submit at any time and for any purpose

This is cool news!

What is the RoI that you are expecting? Can you tell already?

Do I have to set up a Masternode to participate?
How much is the collateral?

You can register a delegate on 4th January, the entry cost was set at 20 million XCASH but due to demand, that cost has estimated to have risen to over 500 million XCASH-- market forces at work. You can still vote for a delegate (set at 2 million xcash per vote). Each delegate sets their own rewards, so you'll have to look for the best deal. You'll be able to vote through the X-BANK in the very near future, but in the mean time you can use the CLI or android wallet to vote.

Nice update there Zach. It is quite obvious your. and the whole Xnetwork teams, dedication, and passion for this project is beginning to take root with the start of this unique DPOPS  platform. We, the constituents can be as impatient as badgers at times it must seem to you. You handle that very well I must say. Thank you for your level commitment to this project.

Thank you very much captainfalconer

So what is the next step?
When it was launched, a community on this forum was very enthusiastic but slowly faded away and the community lost interest due to the lack of updates on project developments.
I think the team should start doing more massive promotions on social media or in this forum.
You can start the Bounty program. This is just a suggestion Smiley

Just speaking as a observer/ small bag hodler.

The team is 100% self-funded and didn't run an ICO, so development didn´t have the huge pools of resources to pull from like some other projects have. From what I have seen, the team has been meticulous in testing (it´s all public), and I think they're on round 16 of beta testing the dpops feature alone. The Bitcointalk community may have lost interest due to the length of development time (2 and a half years), which is natural, especially with regards the wider crypto community. I think the team is aware of this, and recently began running a contributor program which is an evolution of the staple bounty program.

Where do I buy a node? and how many are up for grabs??

you can still mine xcash or buy on exchanges
I would recommend
https://trade.citex.co.kr/trade/XCASH_ETH
https://app.stex.com/en/basic-trade/pair/LTC/XCASH/240
https://app.stex.com/en/basic-trade/pair/ETH/XCASH/240

but were also on hotbit and graviex

There are only going to be 50 nodes, but 45 only since we are having 5 seed nodes(they wont mine any blocks though)
as for the amount its a total guess right now

you can view the current delegates in a beta test at
http://delegates.xcash.foundation/

if you look at the average delegate total vote that would be the amount right now to get into the top 45 for this test

I assume mainnet will be much higher, but it totally depends on who stakes and who shows up

we have estimated in an article it will be around 540M but it could be lower or higher

I better start trading, 540 million is a few hundred million more than I have  Grin

Hello everyone

I have not posted on here I think at all this year since its been a busy time finishing up DPOPS

I encourage everyone to read the article and start preparing for DPOPS

Just a quick update on some things

#1 Yes DPOPS took longer than expected but it is finished now, and have set the release date. never a doubt we were not going to finish it
#2 The new 2.0 GUI is currently being worked on but took a back seat to DPOPS so not sure when it will be released but its in development, as we want it to be bug free
#3 Dont expect the next protocols to take as long as DPOPS. DPOPS was about 6 protocols in one product, so the rest will have 1-2 max
#4 The next protocols on the list will be (in no order) non fungible tokens, smart contracts, regular tokens, side chain instant payments, a voting system for delegates and public tx 2.0 so lots of exciting things
#5 Public tx 2.0 will allow you to assign "public" status to any existing or new XCA wallet, so only public tx can be sent to it. This might be very useful for businesses in the future
#6 I have stared the zachy.zone youtube channel, where every 2 weeks I create a video for the x-cash community. you can check it out at
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJV0Pm2YB5j43iWvsfT55EQ

Note this is not a "crypto" channel and is not of that quality, its more about learning more about X-CASH and cryptonote in general, with some side of my opinions

For people that have doubts about the project  Smiley

I encourage you to

watch DPOPS code overview = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xOMEJuqVCY

and check the DPOPS code and activity

Thank you everyone and hope to have a great next year with everyone as the speed of development and marketing should pick up this year

I also invite you to join are discord channel if you have not yet
I used to only use this forum for other coins as well, but our discord community is very helpful and respectful and we dont censor critical post about the project
This is also the best place to get help from me or someone in the community if you need help on setting up a delegate or voting
