221  Other / Off-topic / Would you live in a Tiny House? How about on a boat? on: September 14, 2014, 01:11:51 PM
I was inspired by looking through a couple of videos from youtube about living simply. In this economy it seems like the smart thing to do. Living on a boat seems extremely cool to me. Sailing from place to place. I'm seriously thinking about doing it after college. What do you guys think?

Couple living in a tiny house.

Girl sailing and living on the sea.
222  Other / Off-topic / Re: How is this possible? She's only 2! on: September 14, 2014, 12:57:14 PM
Yeah that's pretty impressive. I'm quite sure when I was 2 all I knew how to do was piss my pants and eat crayons.

Google Nexus 4, unlocked and currently with T-Mobile. Yes it's almost 2 years old but I love it.
224  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Best Rock Band Of All Time? on: September 14, 2014, 07:40:07 AM
I've always enjoyed anything from The Killers. Favorite song from them would be Sam's Town. The intro is great.

I also like Led Zeppelin. Favorite from them was How the West Was Won.

Tool is also a great band. I enjoyed Vicarious and listened to it a lot on repeat.

228  Other / Off-topic / Police corruption in the good ole USA on: September 10, 2014, 12:38:54 AM
Police cruiser runs a stop sign, hit woman severely injuring her. He then falsely arrests her to cover his ass.

Follow-up story; the department tried to cover up the arrest and frame the female driver.

Police take turns beating man in handcuffs. Footage caught on public surveillance.

Police frames and arrests man for "piloting his rc helicopter too close to police helicopter". Air traffic controller records indicate it was the police helicopter that chased the rc helicopter, not the other way around.

No accountability. It's as if the police are above the law.

I would say Joseph Gordon-Levitt just because I have a man-crush on him. Man if I was gay I'd totally hang up pictures of him on my wall.

He really have infallible logic and it's impossible for him to be wrong ?

Yes, he fails to see and understand any viewpoint other than his own. I suspected that he was autistic with a severe case of childhood egocentrism that he did not outgrow. In a social setting, he also says inappropriate things, generally things that piss a lot of people off. Yet he doesn't see it pisses people off and continues to say these inappropriate things.

For example if my friend said she likes the show "House of Cards", he would say "That show is shit, why do you even watch that? You know that show is shit right? Only dumb people watch that show". Everything he says is along these lines. Very irritating to say the least.

That is pretty awesome. I had an idea similar to this but I was just going to use a regular t-shirt. Seems like this is the better idea. Good job Smiley
232  Other / Off-topic / Who is "that guy" in your circle of friends? The annoying guy, etc. on: September 09, 2014, 12:18:17 PM
I have a friend, let's say his name is "Paul". Paul thinks he is right no matter what. His logic is infallible and it is impossible for him to be wrong. His way of doing something is the right way and if you question him or contend with his methods he will make you feel like shit for doing so.

If he wears pants a certain way and you don't, he will say you are wrong and need to be educated in pants-wearing. If you don't eat food a certain way he will call you out and make you feel like a complete idiot for having your own tastes. I.e. if you leave something behind on your plate he will make sure you remember it for the rest of the day and call you wasteful. If you try to discuss something with him he will get argumentative the moment you voice your own opinions but his opinions are fact and set in stone.

Needless to say, Paul gets on a lot of people's nerves including my own. I used to hangout with him often but have refrained from doing so lately because I feel like the next thing he says will irritate me to the point where I will physically assault him. And I am not even a violent person.
233  Other / Off-topic / Re: Best Cartoon Ever? on: September 09, 2014, 12:08:37 PM
Old school cartoons from my childhood; Darkwing Duck, Ducktales, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Goof-troop, 90's era Transformers, 90's TMNT, Gargoyles. Those were the best childhood cartoon memories I had.

If you could mail your 10 year old self a letter through a time machine, what would you write? Mine would look somewhat like this;

Their returns seem way too good to be true. $1,500 one time deposit and get 3% indefinitely? Seems like they would lose money from this deal after 1.5 months. Does anyone have any input from experience?

Ignore this post, just saw the bigger post for this topic. Can't delete my own post  Cry

237  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anyone ever played this game? on: September 06, 2014, 10:47:49 AM
I think my favorite in the series would have to be Final Fantasy 3 on the SNES. The one where you play as Tera and the Magitek suits. It was the first rpg that really blew my mind. With all the intricate details, the beautiful artwork, sprites and great story. Final Fantasy 7 comes in at a close 2nd. I really loved the feel of polygons with pre-rendered backdrops. And that game was revolutionary when it first came out on the PS1. Also enjoyed Final Fantasy 8 and 9 but I wouldn't say they're my favorites. I quit the series at 9 because they began to really dumb down the game for the newer generation. I heard it got really linear at 10 so I never bothered playing it.
238  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is there a microchip implant in your future? on: September 05, 2014, 01:00:56 PM
If I could have chloroplasts graphed onto my skin in the form of implants then I would. Being self-sustaining is the ultimate tool humans could have under their belt I believe. Produce your own atp and not relying on external organic matter. I would love to be the guinea pig in that experiment. Then again I am a little wary of how your body would react to something like that. We will see. We will see future.

Stagevu is a pretty good streaming site. Has limited content and you have to search manually, but everything is dvd quality.
