21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: PAYPAL STARTED MASSIVE ACCOUNT BAN ON ANYTHING BITCOIN RELATED on: February 19, 2014, 05:21:08 PM
i have been buying and selling miners on ebay using paypal for the last 4 weeks including 3 sells and 2 buys in the last week or 2 weeks and i have had absolutely no problems so I'm not sure where all this is coming from.
22  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING: PAYPAL STARTED MASSIVE ACCOUNT BAN ON ANYTHING BITCOIN RELATED on: February 14, 2014, 11:40:25 PM
I just sold 5 miners on ebay this week no problem what so ever no warning or nothing, took all payments via paypal. I can see them cracking down on the digital currency but they have no right to block sales of any kind of hardware. stop spreading disinformation.

23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / why? on: February 12, 2014, 07:25:31 PM
so much in this community seems to be dedicated to enabling the scum that go around stealing form peoples wallets, and so many seem opposed to anything that might stop them

WHY?Huh?
24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people have received random .00000001 transactions to their wallets? on: February 12, 2014, 07:21:22 PM
There is a thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=458934 started by people receiving 1 satoshi from addresses beginning with "1Enjoy" and "1Sochi", but I just saw two transactions for .00000001 to my wallet from this address: 1Bhv6XjXBvraivcATHwwLMscZ5xJm9FsPn

there is a link to https://bitwars.org/ next to the address, so maybe just spam from a gambling site, but it seems fishy that all these small transactions are happening around the same time. Attack on the blockchain? dusting?

Check you wallet(s), how many people have received random deposits for .00000001?

and how many people have had their bitcoins stolen form their wallet only leaving behind .00000001?

just wondering that's all.

26  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hashers are not miners, and Bitcoin network doesn't need them. on: January 29, 2014, 10:13:12 PM
for anyone who takes offense to someone jumping into this to make a quick buck, I'm sure you're not holding on to any coins at all?
27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hashers are not miners, and Bitcoin network doesn't need them. on: January 29, 2014, 10:11:13 PM
I guess I am just another "hasher" contributing the problem then. But I have just as much right to be here doing it as anyone else and if someone doesnt like it then they are more than welcome to leave.
28  Other / Off-topic / Looking for advice on classes on: January 29, 2014, 01:57:41 AM
I would like some advice on what type of CIS classes I should take if I wanted to become involved in the the technology of Bitcoin i.e. programming, Linux hacking (I don’t mean anything nefarious) etc. I work in IT for a really terrific company that will flat out pay my tuition to get a Bachelors Degree. I don’t mean I gotta pay and get reimbursed but all I have to is get C's or better and they pick up the tab for the semester. I have already started by just taking some MAT, PSY, ECO, and ENG classes but now I want to get into some computer science stuff and my new-found interest in this technology  has me wanting to take some classes that will relate to this technology. Any advice on some classes that would enable me to both understand what is really happening with this technology and to contribute to it?

30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / LTC rig on: January 26, 2014, 10:12:56 PM
I want to build an scrypt miner and buy the parts from tigerdirect and/or overstock and pay with BTC (1BTC budget) I don’t know which cards are best for mining except that the more expensive ones must be better..lol I was thinking of building a rig around an AMD Radeon HD7970 with a corsair 600W power supply. Combining those with a cheap mobo/cpu/ram combo and gaming case I could stay at about 1 BTC. Any thoughts?
31  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Could this strategy to make small profits every day work? Am I missing anything? on: January 25, 2014, 01:49:04 AM

34  Economy / Trading Discussion / payeer.com? on: January 24, 2014, 05:28:01 PM
any dealings with payeer.com? I would like to buy some btc from btc e since the price is low there to buy. None of the options for sending USD are familiar to me, and just some basic searching made payeer.com seem like the best choice. Any thoughts?

38  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Escrow question on: January 23, 2014, 12:45:39 AM
oh ok...duh, lol we used to do this in Diablo2 on Battle.Net. A certain item was not able to be traded in the in game trade screen so we would get someone trusted to take the trade items and hand them out accordingly. I shoulda known that!! Thx!  Grin

40  Economy / Trading Discussion / Escrow question on: January 22, 2014, 11:54:01 PM
Seems a shame I have to ask this question but could someone briefly explain escrow? I am a homeowner, so I am familiar with escrow in the fact that part of my mortgage payment gets set aside to pay for insurance and property taxes but how does this apply here when I see people wanting to use escrow to trade BTC for fiat or purchase miners from other users on this forum?
