Good news.
MaiaCoin project restart is ready to go. X15 Mining will re-open at block 200,000 for 20,000 blocks, which is about 10 - 12 days mining. Currently we're at about 168,000 so this give you plenty of time to download the new wallet as this will require a mandatory upgrade. As this is a continuation of the MaiaCoin blockchain, all your previous coins will still be valid! If you update after block 200k you will be required to re-downlaod the blockchain again, so you are in sync with the new data
The new wallet has been restyled and features anonymous mixing transactions between wallets to give you the option of moving money around without being tracked!
Over the very near future there will be a push to get MaiaCoin listed back on exchanges and to start trading again so you can all trade some value back into MAIA.
I would also like to ask for suggestions on future development and which next features you would like to see most in the next release of MaiaCoin.
Tomorrow evening i will make the new wallets available to dowload with instructions on how to ensure the safety of your existing coins! Remember this will require a hard fork, so everyone must move on the new wallet 
Congratulations with sorting things out! Although I have to agree with the previous guys, > 3 weeks from now for the relaunch is simply too much, whoever may be interested in this today won't wait and the momentum will be gone. I think it's important to get it running in a few days |

also would my calculations be correct to say that with an initial 300m coins after the ipo @ a price of 0.00000465 x 300m = 1395BTC (830k USD)
so we would be buying in at a price around 830k usd market cap?
additionally, im seeing a whole pile of old school marketing and promoting, with little evidence of coding or current state, could you provide more than 1 image of some circled code?

I am following this project for many days and had came to an conclusion that this is very nice project but there is One problem and that is the price ,it is too high if we compare with total number of coins (2,000,000,000).In my opinion they should decrease the price .

But you completely missed that 2 billion coins are to be mined in 86 years, don't you? First year will provide 58 million SYS. Second year - 45.6 million. And so on. |

hi, i invested some btc already, and thought i might invest some more. but i wanted to know. until height 259000 every 24hr there will be 184320 coin. Won't that be way too many coins for the current price of 465 satoshi? No fud, just want to know. thanks Also how do we obtain those shinny little gifts in return of our investment? That would be 0.857088 BTC/day worth of SYS mined. I'm not saying it's negligible for an altcoin market (well, that definition is damn close), so let me just give you some numbers: DogeCoin: 33.30 BTC/day DarkCoin: 29.25 BTC/day LiteCoin: 375.26 BTC/day you can do calculations for other altcoins yourself. Also, keep in mind that mining SYScoin is essentially free (merged) and therefore old rules of hashrate/profitability dependance don't apply. Once there's a good network of merge-mined pools, Syscoin hashrate will stay very high and unprofitable to mine directly. At a certain point the amount of SYS mined by average ASIC miner will be so low, that it won't even be worth dumping on an exchange. Instead, a miner may actually buy more coins to increase his SYS holding to reasonable level. In case there're only 1 or 2 miners mining SysCoin (extreme case), they'll both get ~0.43 BTC/day worth of SYS and of course it would make sense for them to dump it immediately. This is not a realistic scenario, but is still very easy to absorb for any market (with a volume around at least 10 btc/day, which isn't high even for cloned altcoins with no innovation) |

aha its you  . Dan did indeed mention your name. We had multiple options we were looking at, but all agreed that this was the one to use that would work out the best going forward. Nice work and thanks for the feedback. Always value it. Also people seem to overlook a simple fact that this is a merge-mined coin, i.e. most miners will get SYS for free while mining litecoin/dogecoin/whatever scrypt coin is profitable via a network of merge-mining pools. It's not a coin made for the sake of mining/trading, the number one priority is still having a secure network with high hashrate to run build-in services. And, of course, another main idea is to reward IPO buyers as much as possible because their money is what will make SYS happen (further development). Therefore it required a different approach in mining rewards design – it's good to see the community is reacting positively to the new schedule |

You have a very similar typo. 96 block reward = 138,240 per day and not 69,120 (69,120 number is copied from the 48 reward section by mistake). No need to show me that table, because this updated reward scheme is my proposal (and it's good to see it accepted by the Syscoin team without any changes). You're certainly welcome  |

Very interesting.
First 6 months a total of 33,177,600 coins. That is 184,320 a day. At presale price 0.95btc a day.
That should help the market since if the price triples that's still 3btc worth a day being mined. Those buying into the presale and selling higher will help distribute the coins a bit too.
After that the next 360 days which is basically a year is only 24,883,200 total or 259,200 a day. At presale price that is 1.34btc a day.
Year and a half in 58,060,800 total coins + devs + bounties + presale.
Just take the mined coins in the first 18 months and say the price is 2000 (4x more than presale price) sat then market cap for mined coins is 1161btc or $719,820 at current price.
Factor in a sold out presale and devs coins then market cap at 2000 sat will be 8361btc or $5,183,820
And going hard on the escrow system is huge too. Some sellers on market places are requesting money up front because they do not trust anyone else holding the money and they are even looking to start their own private market place. Hopefully they will take a good hard look at Syscoin when it launches. (Although they probably want TOR / anon as much as possible)

Hey, your math is a bit off. The number you see in the table in not a number of blocks for each mining period, but a block height. Therefore the second mining period will provide 138,240 a day (not 259,200, still not sure how exactly you got that number). Daily supply will gradually drop all the way to 46,080 in a few years. |
