1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My friend wants to buy ETH for Axie Infinity, but I said no and here’s why…. on: August 28, 2021, 05:52:41 PM
A few weeks ago, one of my friends is buying ETH from me via P2P at his house. Our transaction was completed as usual. However, days later it’s where ETH had skyrocketed from $2k to $3k+, and I had nothing but regrets. If I didn’t sell my ETH back then, I could have gained some more lol.

Last night, he reached out to me again to buy ETH for his second Axie team, but this time I said no.

Because of Ethereum London hard fork, I am so bullish about it and I feel that it may go even further before the end of this year. So I am holding my dear ETH as it is my major holdings. This is just my feeling, so I ain’t gonna sell my ETH until further notice.

However, I did advice him to try Binance P2P or other trusted and reputable P2P providers out there.

If a lot of people starts going down memory lane on the coins they have sold which later turned out great, hundreds of pages will be filled and it won't still be enough to contain the regrets, thus once you sell a coin or exit a trade, you just have to move on or wait for another entry to buy back, that is if you really believe in the coin.
Therefore I believe you had a reason to sell then, which I think doesn't call for regrets, thus if your friend is not really knowledgeable when it comes to dealing with other people, you can still help him out to avert him making unnecessary mistakes, even the Binance P2P, you can also teach him how to buy and sell. Also, you don't necessarily have to sell your coin to satisfy your friend, but you can help him get it done.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gas Fee Of BNB Is Increasing on: August 27, 2021, 06:49:07 PM
What I can say on this is, one of the major reasons Ethereum gas fee increased was as a result of the huge number of projects on it, that is, all these projects contributed to the value ETH have today. Now having this at the back of our minds and drawing it to the Binance Smart Chain, it can be seen that the easy launching of projects lead to the increasing number of these projects on their network, and this is gradually leading to the increasing gas fee which is being seen now, most times it even gets congested.
That is to say as the Binance Smart Chain grows with more projects on it, the gas fee will be increasing. Another point is, these said gas fees depends on the price of BNB, that is, what the gas fee will be when BNB price is $300 is not what it will be when the price is $500 or $1000. It is happening to BSC now, and will also happen to others like Polygon, unless the blockchain is not growing.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Every altcoins has chance on: August 26, 2021, 11:47:43 AM
I've seen several times that every altcoins doubles the price in a single day which means every coin or token has its opportunity to boom. IF BTC price does down they drop but suddenly they skyrocket by the next day itself, it's pretty hard to judge which coin might pump for the next day. Is there any specific website which might help me to identify? Kindly share your thoughts.

This scenario is mostly seen in a bull market or when a coin just got listed, and in many cases they ignore the market dump and still pump, actually most coins are doing it currently, I think SOL was pumping even when Bitcoin was not really in a good shape to pump. Also, there is hardly anyway to know which coin that will pump, because most projects which have a good news and developments might not pump immediately, but however will take time to build enough momentum before starting their uptrend run. However, the only idea is, knowing those coins whose team are already working hard into implementing their features, such coins can have the opportunity to pump if all works well with the team.
Also, you can follow various crypto channels and websites to be updated on the latest happenings, this will give you the chance to know the coins that have one thing or the other coming up, and whatever they have coming up will determine how the coin will pump.
Lastly, many coins will always have their chance to pump, but not all coins, because most once they dumps, they don't recover.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people buying NFT on: August 25, 2021, 09:46:46 AM
The crypto space is always innovative that is one of the things to bear in mind, what you think that doesn't matter might mean a lot to many people. Before now, I used to have same questions like what is the essence of buy all these NFTs, especially the artworks not until I came across someone who buy NFT artworks at a low price and sell higher, that changed my narratives immediately.
This NFT trend came with many features, on one hand is gamified features and the other is artworks, both have their areas of use, in the same way a lot of people knows the area they can make profit from. The hype is very much around, therefore whichever area a person wants to get involved with will require good research in order to be on the safer side and free from scammers.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be Careful Sharing The QR Code Of Your Wallet Too on: August 25, 2021, 09:41:03 AM

Thanks for sharing this very important information and I am not even aware of such, although I have not tried it before. One of the things that comes with innovations is that, the more a technology grows, the more the users needs to be up to date with what's happening, else a small mistake might put the user at a great risk.
With the way crypto space is growing and the urge of scammers to get their victims in anyway they can, I would say it is quite better not sharing any sort of information apart wallet address with anyone nor even keeping such in your prominently used devices, offline is always the best. Also, it's better sharing only wallet address but anything short than that, just keep it to yourself, the reason for this is, I used to know you can scan QR code instead of sending address but with this new development, let someone not get mixed up, hence only wallet address is better to share.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: August 25, 2021, 09:32:34 AM
Even with the high gas fees, ever wondered why most projects still prefer Ethereum blockchain, even many old projects on the Ethereum blockchain are not even thinking of leaving, that in my own understanding means that Ethereum is serving them well and quite better than others.
Nevertheless, the Ethereum team had two major implementations which are the London hard fork and the ETH 2.0, the London hard fork has been implemented and it is working successfully with the aim of reducing the circulating supply of ETH, while the other is aimed at solving scalability issues such as high gas fee and low speed of transaction. Thus for a blockchain with such team, only means that Ethereum blockchain will keep growing in value and not going to die.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoins Be Cashed? on: August 24, 2021, 07:05:34 AM
Bitcoin is a digital currency that circulates freely, without any control or supervision from banks, governments, or anyone else. In contrast, bitcoin relies solely on cryptography and software between computers.

what if the government closes or does not allow the exchange of Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies with the official currency in each country?  Huh

Bitcoin was developed and designed to bring about easy peer-to-peer (P2P) transactions, and I think many countries have tried in the past to stop Bitcoin growth in their country, with some saying it is banned and so on. But however, countries can say that or put in measures to stop it, but it is quite proven that you can't stop a growing technology and since Bitcoin has been growing for years till now, even with measures to stop its transactions in a country, people will find their ways around it, peer-to-peer platforms are there and so on. In fact many countries have been doing peer-to-peer transactions for years before it now gets better with exchanges like Binance having their own peer-to-peer features.
Therefore in essence, Bitcoin can't be crashed or stopped totally by the government, there will always be ways around it.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT games players might facing problem in our country on: August 24, 2021, 06:56:16 AM
Last night the game Axie Infinity was shown on the mainstream media and they cover stories of successful players who earn lots of income with it. But the problem is, the government also watches the stories from another side of the world and thinking that they can put some taxes on it. This kind of news is something you don't want to see because once they put their hands on these earning opportunities, they will fill all of the games and trading platforms out there with taxes. They shouldn't be happy when they got an interview because the one will suffer are those who entered late in the game and put some huge amount of capitals.

That is right, you made a very good point and that is the nature of the government but however, there is no way one can hide his platform and development just because the government don't like it, that is to say, more of this will be seen in the coming days. Also, most governments have tried to limit Bitcoin and crypto growth in their country but yet, people are still getting involved because it is hard to ignore, therefore this one will still progress irrespective of what the government says, all that is needed is for the team to continue developing and working on what will attract more users and investors.
Lastly, sooner than later, they will understand that crypto has come to stay and there is little to nothing they can do about it, than finding ways to accommodate it.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it really that hard to make ethereum faster and cheaper? on: August 24, 2021, 06:50:17 AM
Yes it is true about the high Eth gas fee which have already returned and to be frank it is really frustrating. But let's go deeper in this issue, as it stands now, ETH is the only blockchain with loads and loads of projects on it, and this in a way contributes to the issues it is facing including speed, thus the reason for ETH 2.0. The team already understands the issues and are working on it, and it cannot be expected to be done as soon as possible when there are hundreds of projects on it blockchain, that is to say, it requires time and careful implementation in order not to endanger the security of the blockchain. I believe the team will deliver but more time is need to make it work successfully. And another truth is, some of these new blockchains, a time will still come when their gas fees will increase, it once happened with BSC, however it all depends on if they will last that long.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The altcoin of the week on: August 23, 2021, 06:59:31 AM
this week is an exciting week for the entire cryptocurrency market and bitcoin taking the lead and ethereum following closely to recover it earlier price, this thread is created to see the list of coins that have moon this week and what are the percentage of their price increase.

Really last week as a great week for some coins and it also in a way brought back good market sentiment as seen of course in the prices of some coins. I believe SOL took the lead where it hit an ATH, and not only that, the growth of SOL brought attention to its ecosystem tokens thus many of them were seen pumping as well, who knows if the market continues in same manner it will turn out good for SOL holders.
Secondly ADA is another coin which had the attention and growth, and it would have been better if there were already more projects on its blockchain, nevertheless the team seems to know what they are doing. Ethereum and Binance coin also made their moves, in fact it was as if top coins where making good moves and with Bitcoin taking the lead currently where it passed $50k, then it shows that more fomo might likely start taking place and more growth of these coins will start being experienced.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Foundation Officially Relaunches on: August 23, 2021, 06:52:12 AM
I saw some news today that the Dogecoin Foundation is officially coming back after several years of silence. The foundation is set to support core developers and projects benefiting the meme-inspired cryptocurrency DOGE.

I think this is a good news and a good sign for the Doge to rise up again, what are your thoughts about this news guys? buy or wait again?.

They always say a very good news is capable of pumping a coin or even the entire market and a bad news is capable of dumping a coin or entire market. After years of neglect and the foundation is finally coming back to map out ways for more development of Dogecoin, then to me it is a good news and as they start working and their works turns out to be quite good, then the price will grow even more. But there is a  twist here or rather the reason why it's good to be mindful of your investments and that is, in as much as they are going to work to develop more on Dogecoin, if what they offer after a long time is not encouraging or attractive massive dump might take place. Also, bearing in mind that a lot of other Meme coin might have built one thing or the other, if Dogecoin foundation ends up not being better, it will also be bad.
Therefore in as much one can buy as a result of what they will offer, he should also monitor the market to watch out how it goes unless the person is a long term holder.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would the ideal cryptocurrency ecosystem be like? on: August 23, 2021, 06:44:29 AM
We know, that nowadays many blockchain platforms with their respective coins are competing to be number one in the cryptocurrency space.
There are people who agree with Ethereum and there are also those who agree with Binance as one of the best as a place to create smart contracts (for example).

Apart from these two platforms and parameters, do you all agree if someone leads an ecosystem related to the world of blockchain and cryptocurrencies?

What should the ideal world be like?

FYI: Google is the ruler of the internet, and there are people who agree with what he is doing, but there are also those who don't.

This is the crypto space and one of the features it is known for is decentralization, and that is why most of these blockchains like Ethereum is still valid today and is still growing, take a look at Bitcoin a lot of people trust in its decentralized nature hence the reason they can invest and be at cool with their long term plans. Although there are some platforms which are heavily centralized and that is also one of the reasons a lot of people are always skeptical about them, look at Ripple and how the community feels about it and even despite growing so much a lot of people still don't believe in it.
Therefore in my opinion, the features a blockchain platform offers is important but that decentralized nature is the most important of all, thus if a person will be the sole manager of a blockchain platform, trust will hardly be found within that blockchain and it might end up not growing as it is supposed to.
Lastly, an ideal cryptocurrency ecosystem in my own understanding is an ecosystem where trust in found both from the team to their use case, where reliability is found that is, the token or coin growing as it is meant to and not pump and dump, it is also an ecosystem where there is clear and positive impact of cryptocurrencies on human lives.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of cryptocurrencies are fraudulent on: August 22, 2021, 11:43:46 AM
In a recent speech at the annual PNWER meeting held in Montana, Neil Kashkari, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, sharply criticized cryptocurrencies, stating that "95 percent of cryptocurrencies are fraud, deceptive advertising and noise," and he also said he had a more positive view of cryptocurrencies in 2015. Kashkari also referred to the large number of altcoins and called them "garbage coins."

There is no need to argue this because he is right although the percentage might not be true. The truth is that, most of these altcoins are just here for the money, that is, their team have nothing to offer other than to create a platform, launch a coin, get it listed and if possible pump the price and gradually let it go. With the inception of DEX, nowadays it is very easy for any project to launch, and most of them goes directly for marketing or promotions without having anything to show for, and just like that gradually they list and a lot of them exit scam within hours of listing.
That's for new projects, what about old projects? How of these projects that raised a lot of money in public fundraising event are still around, and what even happened to the money?
Therefore in essence, he is right and that is also the reason why we need to go for projects which will make impact, that is projects whose use case is applicable and the team already working towards it.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Price Prediction – Will ETH Hit $5,000 Soon? on: August 22, 2021, 11:36:10 AM
It is true that Ethereum has a very bright future ahead and this is highly attributed to their team and their seriousness towards the growth of the platform, seriousness such as the London hard fork which was implemented successfully and the forthcoming Ethereum upgrade 2.0, all these points to a platform with great success ahead.
On the other hand, I am not a fan of predictions because over the years, a lot of predictions has failed  which most times, analysts can't be blamed but the nature of the market in which news plays a vital role, thus having that in mind I can't say what the future price of Ethereum will be but one striking thing is, Ethereum will keep growing and keep surprising a lot of people and other blockchains which claims to be better.
Nevertheless, if all works out well and no fud, $5,000 looks possible for Ethereum.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: safe moon & shiba inu market [New] on: August 18, 2021, 12:06:16 PM
Safe moon shiba inu With the advent of coins in the market, do they pretend to be extremely popular among the people?  Or do those coins add some value to the market?
But their prices are very low.
Have such coins stabilized in the market in a few years?

In terms of popularity, Shiba Inu is more popular and seems to offer something more to its community than Safemoon, that is, Shiba Inu can be in the same class with Doge coin, but as for Safemoon, same can't be said of it. Also, in terms of price, most of these Meme coins are low in price nowadays because it seems much is not happening around Meme coins again of which we know that what lead to their pump then was because we were in a shitcoin season and Doge coin which happens to be their head was also pumping. Therefore in a way, it can be said that if Doge starts pumping again, may be all these Meme coins will find their feet again and follow up.
Lastly, in terms of their future, one cannot really tell because it depends on the team and their willingness to continue pushing the project forward, therefore whatever direction or action they take twords the project will determine its future or stability in a few years.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Polkadot and Uniswap Survive? on: August 17, 2021, 07:24:03 AM
Polkadot and Uniswap are both present in the crypto market in 2020. As a relatively new coin in the market, many are asking and thinking whether they will survive in the midst of the great old coins?
In January 2021 Uniswap slowly rose in price from $4.9. While Polkadot also experienced an increase in the same month and year by $5. The market continues to run and they are also holding on to prices not much different (Polkadot $27, Uniswap $29). Their rankings on the coinmarketcap list are also close together (DOT #9, UNI #11).
*source: https://coinmarketcap.com/
Let's discuss

Some of the times, price do not really determine if a project will last long term or will survive on the long run, but what really counts is what the project is offering, solving and how the team is working towards it. Most coins can pump for a while and that will be it, they will then keep struggling, some even use hype to cover up the aspect of development, thus when the hype and pump stops they gradually lose it all.
Now in the case of Uniswap and Polkadot, both have an already working platform and therefore will keep surviving, being top 100 on coinmarketcap is no joke, it takes lots and lots of development to reach such height.
Therefore, I do not think their current price now is an issue, because they have come a long way to fail and moreover their platforms are still actively being used by people, and the more people use them, the more it continues growing.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO, IDO, STO which best? on: August 17, 2021, 07:14:43 AM
All these fundraising methods moved or were prominent during their own trend or season. ICO was widely used then but owing to high and rising number of scams it was abandoned, IEO came up with a more better approach and it lasted for a long time and even till now, but no longer prominent like before. After IEO the next would have been STO, but I can't remember any project which had a successful STO  and just like that, STO failed before it gets started and then IDO which takes place on DEX and still used till today.
Now going down memory lane and comparing, I would say IEO  and IDO are quite better as both takes place on exchanges, and the investor will have the opportunity to choose to invest or not, that is, if the IEO is conducted on an exchange which do not have enough reputation or on a DEX which is not prominent.
Another reason is, since good exchanges and DEX plays a good role in the development of a project, before IEO or IDO, the Investor will have the opportunity to know the exchanges the token will be listed on, thus knowing if his investment will give good return or not. Therefore, IEO and IDO are the best since both have almost the same model.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano Smart Contracts coming soon? on: August 17, 2021, 07:03:22 AM
Cardano (ADA) is scheduled to upgrade its existing network they call it the Alonso Hard Fork. The biggest upgrade of this cardano has
privileges capable of facilitating smart contracts on its network. If the cardano smart contract really happens
do you think cardano will be able to become a rival to bitcoin, ethereum and binance?
Your opinion its appreciated in this discussion.  Smiley

That explains the pump few days ago, and that is really good for the ADA ecosystem, I might even say it is long overdue when you take into account older blockchain platforms that are already making giant strides in this space. In all ramifications this is really good for the ADA ecosystem, because I see it as, that a big platform like ADA and with all its features still do not have enough projects on it already, and the absence of these projects will keep reducing the height ADA would have attained both now and in the near future.
Nevertheless, I don't think you can compare a blockchain which is yet to have a lot of projects on it, to other blockchains that have many projects on them, therefore I do not think ADA have what it will take to be a rival to either Binance or Ethereum. Remember as ADA is growing, other blockchains like Binance and Ethereum are still growing as well.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful what you choose to invest in now, not all coins will recover. on: August 16, 2021, 08:16:34 AM
The popular opinion now is buy the coins that are down, and when the market recovers that you'll be in profit. While that saying is correct but that doesn't go for all coins. Don't go buying every coins you see losing value just because you think when the market bounces up, they'll follow. Majority are losing value because people are seeing them for what they truly are which are just a waste of investment and time, also a ticking time bomb waiting to explosed.

The memes you all are rushing to buy today most probably will die with this market and won't be much of a sort after coin when the next bull run comes same goes for the Defi, NFT, launchpad projects you're all rushing to get them cheap not knowing you're buying a waste. Choose wisely, follow up the project. See if their developers are working on something or just hiding behind the now popular saying, the market is unfavorable.

Project with visions uses the bear market to build as they'll be getting less distracted with the whole when moon or when binance question for those not listed there yet. The current market situation present an opportunity to research properly and invest wisely, take notes.

I agree earnestly with your last paragraph, projects whose team are ready to work, don't get bothered during bear market because they already have their works lined out and thus working on them such that when the market picks up, it won't be that they were doing nothing, but with what they have developed so far during the bear market will give investors or users the impression that the team are serious. Therefore in all, it is very important for people to be careful of what they buy, most coins are only good during bull market and once the market dumps, the team disappears; use case, active team and working products shouldn't be joked with, these things really matters in a project which aims to grow.
