Hi DataSea, I appreciate the assistance, however the transaction did not came through on my side. On this address I made a payment from the address to the same address and it would not go into the local mem pool nor did it enter any of the nodes connected to the client. This address are now imported into the 0.15.9.08 version and it show the payment to it self with all the confirmation sine the 6th of July 2020 - the 0.16.3 client do not see the transactions on the block chain. I'll have a look at the previous posts to see if any one mention a possible problem or maybe Graham will be able to tell us. Anyway, just right click on the transaction, select abandon and the coin will appear in your wallet again. Thanks, H Hi Hamburger,

Hi, Datacoin 16.3 wallet receive transferred funds from any other client tried. Datacoin 16.3 wallet sending funds does not work. Any one running Datacoin 16.3 and have a balance available - please send some DTC to dEnvzaRgyPtR2mZLPwTwN7LgpasN9rJ42H and post the amount and address here for a refund. Add your Datacoin 16.3 ip here to see if these clients want to speak to each other. Windows Binaries put on ice until sending can be sorted out. Tnx, H

Hi,
Compiled Datacoin v0.16.3 on Ubuntu 20.04 successfully and will now attempt a cross compilation for windows.
Notes;
Berkeley DB4 will produce an error. Compile with --with-incompatible-bdb to make use of Berkeley 5.3.28 (September 9, 2013). Madpool fix still required for compiling. Instal QT5 to produce a GUI. Tnx to gjhiggins for removing the warning notification when accessing the in wallet Blockchain.
Will keep you posted on the progress.
Thx,
H

Good Morning,
Have anyone compiled Datacoin v0.16.3 on Ubuntu 20.04 successfully?
It seems like I have all the dependencies installed to compile the four executable files for Datacoin v0.16.3. I received no warnings or errors after make and is now waiting for make clean to complete before I will be able to test.
Will let you know if all went well later today.
Tnx,
H

Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Timestamping documents with the blockchain
|
on: March 09, 2020, 04:35:32 PM

I am looking for a service or tutorial that instructs on how to use the timestamping feature of the blockchain to record the existence and immutability of important documents.
We want to timestamp a document into the blockchain for a "proof of existence". It is also useful that the block will demonstrate the time it was created.
Does anyone on this board have a recommendation about which service to use or how to do this? It is preferable not to use a 3rd party.
I have downloaded the blockchain but am not particularly inclined to start running a full-node.
Thank you for any and all help.
Hi, You could have a look at https://www.bytestamp.net/ - it is a free tool to timestamp & produce proof of existence of anything. If you want to do it your self, have a look at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2188160.msg50735129#msg50735129 - this is done using Datacoin. Hope it will put you on the right track. H

Upgrading Krugercoin 0.9.3 to Krugercoin 0.10.2
It's me again!
Had a relatively long absence due to health reasons.
Anyways, are there any other people out there that will be interested in upgrading Krugercoin to a higher version?
Send me a pm or post here to discuss the way forward.
Thank you,
Hamburger
Some notes; Do not bother with sending a compiled versions to my inbox - I need to be able to compile from source in order to trust you. Do not send me the 10.2 version that I paid for and pawn it off as your own. If you decide to send me what I paid for, I'll be very much happy!

Hi, Try this, stop the client and remove peers.dat and ban.dat file. Edit your datacoin.conf file to only have one ip to connect to; connect=45.63.115.238 restart the client if you want to add nodes in the conf file, the following nodes are active at this point addnode=148.251.2.141 addnode=89.72.246.21 addnode=54.37.46.84 addnode=94.130.64.167 addnode=92.206.158.6 addnode=151.80.96.105 addnode=83.161.158.205 addnode=212.125.247.47 addnode=140.186.218.230 addnode=31.131.65.221 addnode=185.78.136.251 addnode=40.83.220.117 addnode=109.168.57.228 addnode=144.217.255.89 https://www.datacoin.tk/explorer/if all else fail, try to reindex create a short cut for your client and set the target C:\.......\datacoin-qt.exe -reindex start the client with the shortcut Hamburger
