1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is blockchain? (Read it) on: May 31, 2018, 01:22:31 PM
Thank you so much for this it gave me a more in depth look at the technical aspects as well as a more detailed explanation in terms of the history and application of a Blockchain, is there anything else I should take into consideration when looking at a possible Altcoin to invest in with regards to the safety and security of a blockchain?

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hodl or Fodl on: May 24, 2018, 11:31:48 AM
This would probably be a different discussion if the Crypto market wasn't doing what it currenctly is but anyway...

I would definitely not get rid of the BTC that i have right now because even though its an antique in terms of Crypto, its still quite worth holding on to
Bitcoin Cash is a complicated one. I would hold this one as well due to the amount of improvements they're making to the coin so it'll climb in value
Ethereum is another obvious hold (I'm sure you know why  Wink )
Ripple has quite a bit of investment value even at this point
Dash is worth looking out for even though I don't own much of it because of the talk of regulations in terms of transparency etc

Thats my opinion of what to hodl right now but that could change at the flip of a coin
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining Altcoins ? on: May 24, 2018, 10:15:55 AM
Heya guys

At this point with the market so shaky, is it worth starting up mining Altcoins considering the startup costs, the difficulty levels of various coins right now still working in a PoW system or is it smarter to just invest and trade them like everyone else?
For example the Bitcoin Cash difficulty level is:
Current BitcoinCash Difficulty: 533,490,993,486.88900000

The Monero Difficulty level is:
Current Monero Difficulty: 55,349,291,072.00000000

5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin fees will NEVER come down on: May 23, 2018, 09:27:59 AM
I'm not 100% sure about it but I don't think that they will ever come down. The reasons for this are that there are far less coins in circulation since people are holding a lot of the coins waiting for them to increase in value and the difficulty level for mining BTC has gone  through the roof and not looking like it's going to stop any time soon. Another reason is that when mining of new BTC coins ends, if BTC even survives that long, that will make transaction fees etc the only forms of income for miners from BTC.

The wallet providers also have their own interest in making money from transaction fees since they are clogged up with a backlog of people making infrequent transactions so one of the best solutions for them is to incentivize people to transact more often by charging them less fees the more active they are
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC-20 tokens ? on: May 23, 2018, 08:22:16 AM
Hi

Kinda trying to understand everything behind Ethereum. With the popularity of ERC20 Tokens especially within upcoming ICOs, does this not reflect that the Ethereum Blockchain tech is the tech that most coins will be moving on to since its use of smart contract tech and that ETH is probably the most stable future coin or tech? Also which type of wallet is connected to holding ERC20 tokens?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is 2018 the year when crypto goes mainstream on: May 22, 2018, 12:08:38 PM
Now that companies such as Walmart and Amazon are incorporating Blockchain tech into their business operations, are they leading the way for a trend of retail companies to the Blockchain to make shopping easier? Maybe even introducing their own retail coins to pay for things?
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Satoshi mined bitcoins owned by the US Government on: May 22, 2018, 10:38:18 AM
What do you think would happen if the BTC Genisis coins were suddenly moved back into circulation within the BTC ecosystem? Would BTC thrive or take a dive of the edge of the cliff?
