Absolutely.
Like you said, there is no rule about multiple accounts so I guess anyone can sign up and write whatever they want to boil over.
Its always a good idea to get feedback and build better, but with ones with fair points. Can't make everyone happy after all.

Its not about finding a scapegoat or dragging you into this.
Anyway, thanks for your help!

1) It is required from Australian customers for most part as level of BPAY and Bank Frauds in Australia is way higher than any other market we operate in -- http://help.igot.com/customer/portal/articles/1731436

I am from INDIA not from Australia, If you want to follow your australian rules you should stop doing business in India.

2) Buy commission, deposit, withdrawal fee is 0%. Sell commission is 0.50% - which is clearly listed in BUY BITCOIN and SELL BITCOIN pages.
Liar, You haven't written anything on main page where you are advertising 0% fees.

3) The page is about how to withdraw money. The steps involved. Timeline is clearly listed there.

We can all pick on everything we want. But fact is, Fiat withdrawals are not automated. Someone manually sends it to you. That's how traditional banking works.
Trouble is, people think I clicked on that Withdraw button and I need to see cash in 2 hours. That's logistically not possible.

If an exchange needs further verification to protect itself from fraud, meet the AML obligations - it has to be done.
Owning a couple of Bitcoin and running an exchange is very different experience.
Individuals do not have to worry about a lot of things that we, as an exchange do.

igot is the buyer of your Bitcoin, when you sell to us.
igot is the seller of Bitcoin, when you buy from us.

In both cases, we most definitely need to make sure there is no fraud.
Furthermore, we need to make sure the money is not stolen from someone's bank account to fraudulently get Bitcoin and for that person to disappear.
We are responsible for frauds and we have to pay the money back to the banks in case of fraud, and lose the Bitcoin too - if we do not do everything we can to prevent fraud.

If you are not happy with igot's fraud prevention, we cannot serve you.
One thing we're not interested is being in the middle of some illegal operation.

So basically you are saying you fuckers are not running a live exchange, you idiots are buying and selling from customers money and using their funds to get profit.?
What kind of fraud you are talking about when you have already gotten kyc and bank details etc and even my bitcoins? How I am supposed to do fraud with you? You are the one who is doing fraud and illegal stuff behind your so called "exchange". I wouldn't mind doing a money laundering case against your company since you guys are using bitcoins to move money from here and there in a large amount.

Did anyone tell you that your account was a fraud?
Owning a couple of Bitcoin is different to running an exchange.

And new accounts popping up for sole reason of discrediting exchanges is not the smartest idea.
You are not happy with us, close your account. Its very simple.

KYC doesn't mean there wont be fraud. Do you even know how many people have their ID's sitting on internet that can be used by scammers?
Fact of the matter is, your money was already paid. You were impatient not to allow the processing time that we clearly mention on the help page and then you create a new account with sole reason of dissing igot.

Moderators? Is this even allowed as per your own rules?

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting igot.com.

Please allow 1 to 5 business days for us to process withdrawals.
What the hell is this?

They have written "Only 0% Transaction Fee "  on Main page but they are charging 0.5% fees for selling bitcoins.   Angry

I exchanged 1 bitcoin on 28th jan (Morning time) then I sold coins and did withdrawal as I needed money urgently.
I kept waiting but didn't received any funds that day so I created a support ticket as they don't have any email or phone number listed on their website.
They replied to my support ticket after 24 hours and said they need more 1-5 days for withdrawal.  Pathetic
I still haven't received any funds in my bank account yet.  Anyone have their phone number??

Ps: I received one more mail from them.
Quote
Please note: it may take 3 to 7 business days to receive your payment in your verified bank account. Established accounts can expect money within 3 business days.   Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

I believe it's a big scam and they don't have any volume on their exchange, they are just fooling customer and using customer's coins to earn money.

-- How does this make igot a scam? You sold Bitcoin, and are taking cash out. http://help.igot.com/customer/portal/articles/1388394 clearly talks about the timeline and what not. Every such thing is clearly laid down in Help section, which most people choose to not read. Help section gives you clarity on processing times, verifications requirements, and much more. We try to process all orders as soon as we can, but calling us a scam for 'what you think is a delay' is unfair. And about the daily volume, we've covered that topic over a year ago at this forum. Take the time to read it.

Thanks for your comments.

1. Daily withdrawal limits and way to lift them is clearly listed on the site. Its very easy to lift those restrictions and withdraw as many as 500 BTC a day.

Getting to Level 2 is pretty straight forward and easy.
We are simply not interested in running yet another 'anonymous Bitcoin exchange'.
Bitcoin may have started like that, but we think that is not the right way going forward. If you see the evolving economy of Bitcoin, you will notice 99% of the exchanges do require to meet KYC and AML policies laid out by the Government around the world.

We certainly do not want to be in middle of some big (or small) money laundering operations that fund illegal trades such as drug trafficking, and  terrorism to name few.

-----

2. Withdrawal times:

We know that some people are upset about withdrawal times and we would like to clarify:

Bitcoin withdrawals are processed within hours in most cases.
If you've sent us a BPAY, the withdraw time will be more because we need to be sure you sent the BPAY from your own account and a scammer did not just hacked into someone's bank account to send it.

How can you make sure this is faster?
Simply deposit cash instead of Bank transfer or BPAY transfer.
That makes withdrawals almost instantaneous. Our risk there is minimum to none and the speed is definitely faster as we do not need to further verify you.

Cash withdrawals:
As your history with us grows, we tend to send out withdrawals faster.
We do need to have some history with your account to expedite the process.

Some international wires can and do take time, so please keep that timeline in mind.
Some local banks take 1 to 3 business days to transfer funds too. This is not in our hand at all.

If you are a bigger trader, by all means reach out to us for a transaction fee discount. We would love to work with you.

Rest assured, igot is not here to scam you or anyone else. That's not why we started this platform.

We are known for our extra precautions (sometimes criticized)  and many users get frustrated, which we understand and listen to.

But due to number of BPAY frauds in Australia, we have to be very careful with every account. We've blocked thousands of dollars worth of fraud by enforcing strict KYC.

What these scammers really do is use BPAY to fund igot, then withdraw Bitcoin.
Once the Bitcoin is sent, they’re gone. There’s nothing anyone can do about it.

As an exchange, it is our job to make sure this doesn’t happen.
When this happens, the following happens:

The scammer has gotten away with free Bitcoin
The victim (who’s bank account or card was used) is out of money
igot then needs to make sure the money is given back to the victim, affecting our bottom line
Banks see this as high risk business and shuts down Bitcoin related bank accounts

We see a lot of classic frauds every day and you, as our user have to understand that we need to be extra careful.

We’ve seen so many cases where:

Scammer scammed someone’s bank account and took of with Bitcoin
Some unsuspected old people have had their life savings or major portion of it taken away
Some kids use their parent’s bank account to buy Bitcoin without understanding the risks (and they’re under 18 years of age)
Some people have had their identity and cards stolen from their mailbox while they were away

As we grow, we are constantly reviewing our policies to make sure we're able to eliminate fraud and lift limits on most accounts instantly.

As part of our voluntary obligation, we meet the AML and KYC policies laid by the government. This is good for Bitcoin ecosystem in general and since Bitcoin is not yet regulated, we think self regulated exchanges like ourselves are doing the right thing (legally speaking).

We look forward to your feedback. Please feel free to email us on hello@igot.com.
We will be happy to help.

Hello everyone!
Thought we should jump in and clarify a few things.

1. The volume you see is not just our volume. It is block chain data. No point in us giving out fake data. We're doing great for a new exchange.
2. Processing withdrawals faster or slower has nothing to do with forum posting. We follow strict guidelines to access our cold storage and stick to that.
3. 7 days wait after first purchase - why is this implemented?

Why is this important?

Most hackers that hack bank accounts in Australia, India and worldwide use innocent people and buy Bitcoin with their accounts.
Exchanges (if they are not careful), would then send the BTC to those fraudsters.
What happens there? The fraudster made free money, the victim suffers for no reason, and it gives bad reputation to the exchange that was used.
Banks then deem Bitcoin exchanges and Bitcoin itself very high risk and stay away.
But if we put 7 days of ONE OFF restriction, we can always crosscheck with banks, or banks can raise an alarm of such theft and we can stop the theft of money and Bitcoin, both.
Does it mean that someone will not use a fraudulent account next time around after this restriction is lifted? Not at all! But by now we've gathered enough paper trail to go after them if they were defrauding us or innocent, unsuspecting bank account holders.

You have to keep one thing in mind. We're one of the newer exchanges.
We take security very seriously. Many people put in their hard earned money and Bitcoin into our system. As an exchange, it is our responsibility to keep that safe, away from hackers. In order to run an exchange, you need to instate certain security protocols (even if appears to be overly cautious).

We're committed to providing great service to our customers. Some people have issues with wait, others don't and that's totally fine with us. One thing we won't do is - compromise on our security procedures that keeps our customer's and us safe.

All customer support queries are addressed using our support site. We cannot provide individual support over a public forum due to member's privacy. BTC transfer outside the igot currently takes anywhere between 24 hours to 4 days. This is mainly because we store Bitcoin offline to prevent from theft. If any customer has a question, we encourage them to contact us at hello@igot.com directly. Every email is answered within hours.

10  Local / India / Re: List of Bitcoin Based businesses (India) on: January 09, 2014, 03:30:58 AM
Just found this https://www.igot.com/

They have INR listed as well. Quite interesting if anyone here knows about it or tried it.
The site has no address to contact, has no telephone support.
Even in help, if try to search, it doesn't allow any thing to enter & refreshes page.
very fishy site.

I agree 1 the  site, does not have  any reference in the forum, there is no  announcement  made, have to keep an eye on this  and  recommend it not be  used  for now.

I ventured further,

IGOT TECH SOLUTIONS PVT LTD
They have a HDFC Bank account at Kolkotta , Gargia Branch  ( they accept INR Deposit )

if you dig further, this company is registered at Bangalore , Chamrajpet.

Probably someone from bangalore can do a fact check.

I think IGOT TECH SOLUTIONS PVT LTD is NOT www.igot.com. It is www.igottech.in ...2 are probably different. Their blog is : http://igotmedia.wordpress.com/

Hello Guys,
This is Rick from igot.com.
Just noticed we have a very active discussion about igot.com here so thought would jump in and clarify a few things.

We're a brand new exchange that launched only recently.
Our target launch was to do Europe, Australia and India and slow expand.

1. IGOT TECH SOLUTIONS PVT LTD is NOT the owner of igot.com, but rather just a logistic partner in India till we establish some more ground.
2. We're from Indian, Australian and American backgrounds and are going to venture to India next month to meet with the Bitcoin community in India and establish company, offices and meet all the legal requirements.
3. We simply do not have the manpower to offer phone support right now. We have customers coming from 3 different geographical locations and are unable to do any phone inquiries, not unless we raise some money of course!
4. Announcement was made on the forum in the Newbie section last week, some of you may have missed it.

We've spent the past 6 months developing this platform to provide easy access to Bitcoin in the countries we wish to operate. As many of you already know, there is no clear legal framework on Bitcoin from any Government body in any country yet. For that reason, we decided to register in The Netherlands - igot.com B.V.

One of the founders of igot.com is a Corporate Lawyer from New York and our goal is to grow with the community by providing a seamless Bitcoin transaction.

We're happy to meet with anyone and everyone online or in person when we're in India from February 15th, 2014.

Our agenda is not to compete with other Bitcoin exchanges, but to collaborate and grow the Bitcoin economy and help it reach its true potential in years to come.

Please feel free to message us on hello@igot.com if you would like to meet the Founders and the team next month.
We will be traveling to Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, and New Delhi.

Regards,

Rick

Hello everyone!
We're a brand new exchange that launched last week.
To answer some of your questions:

1. 13th Pty Ltd is the business entity that owns igot.
2. Trades are general trades from Blockchain, not trades on igot.com.
3. BPAY is hard to get approved. We're a legitimate business, and have met our bank's stringent requirements.
4. We do not have an API *yet*.

We're still developing and only just launched our most basic version.
We're adding tons of new features, and API documentations that will be pushed to production in the next few weeks.

If you're in Australia, try us out. We accept Bank Transfer, BPAY and adding Direct Debit soon.
If you're any other country, you may still use our services.

We offer one of the lowest commission structure  -- just 1%.

We welcome any suggestions you might have to improve our service.

Regards,
