41  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: EVGA 1300W supernova PSU ships anywhere. 5 available original packaging on: April 10, 2015, 08:46:13 AM
How much for your last one?

I smell great deals on badass power supplies. Bought one of these when Amazon had them for stupid cheap - at that price, at these prices, getting a lot more PSU than you are paying for. The packaging they come in alone is amazing.

42  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] 120mm quality case fans. on: April 09, 2015, 11:25:12 PM
Looking for ~3 decent 120mm fans. LED circus fans are ok, Vegas Trio anyone?! However, fan draw cannot exceed 1 amp.

Please pm / post here with what you've got.

thanks!

BTC…where serious miners go to mine bitcoin

....
This pool uses clustering from its I7 core to load balance across multiple CPU cores which in turn earn you more bitcoin. Over the short term you will earn 30-40% more bitcoin then other pools.

Clearly someone was able to fool you online ... though I guess that never happens Tongue

No, you have it wrong. The 30% better than other pools is true. Also, if you invest $5,000 you get a return of $50,000. There are very few of these opportunities still available - by the time you read this it may be too late. If interested, PM me and I will see what can be done.

I want to make moar money!

So much pool info, my brain hurts. Quick! What pool will make me much happier than btcguild?

Or, mining is mining is mining. At ~2.5 TH/s (hopefully 3.6 one day!) who has the dope spot?

http://www.Crypto-Miners.Club

We're happy to have you, and there is a 0% pool fee!

No registration needed either.

You promise it is better than www.Bloods-Miners.Club ??

Will take a look. Thanks. You should tell me a couple more reasons why you are more better, if you'd like.

49  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: {WTS} Antminer S3, S5 and PSU's - From Midwest on: March 27, 2015, 06:46:55 AM
true Im just asking a reasonable offer, i would like to see psu and miner together but if not i will seperate as long as it sells
I could sell the S5 for $475 plus shipping....thats a decent price, if not make an offer..thanks
S5 Batch 5 from bitmain costs $390 shipped to the US

Honestly, what is the point of this post? You've compared the price, thanks?

Everyone has their reasons for selling and buying. If you aren't in the market then stay out of it. Or, if you are in the market, and have found a much better deal, sing it out. But mentioning Bitmain's price? Again, thanks for that.

If you go check ebay 500 for an S5 plus shipping happens all day long. I think OP offered an S5 and a Corsair CX750M (I'm assuming with all needed cables, check for sure) for $600. Given what is on ebay and here, that's not the best deal in the world, but it is nothing to sneeze at and certainly a good opening for some negotiations.

And with stuff like this you gotta have it and don't want to wait for some future shipping date when you could pay a few bucks extra and have the machine in your grubby mitts up and hashing by the weekend. Bitmain can't touch that.

Crowetic makes a good point. Dude is usually right on, you can learn a lot from that guy.

There was a lot of talk about a "good deal". There are technical good deals like "I bought 1 Oz of gold but only paid 1/2 Oz price!" Typically a good deal is a state of mind. If you paid $480 for a NIB and got it second day from a hot chick that included picks of her topless you'd think that was a pretty solid deal.  A good or bad deal is all in the head - you may have gotten a terrible deal, but if you think you got a good one and walk away smiling... well... you got a good deal. Smiley enter greedy fucks!

I did not receive a PM from you?

Statement, or question?   Grin

You showed a little bit of interest... asked miles / pics / kbb. Toy with seeing what else is out there from time to time, Then I'll drive her and ask myself what the hell was I thinking?

Price I want / can get is higher than kbb will show. It is a 1999 FRC without mods... but with a couple mods. The FRC part tells you something or it doesn't. This one is the rarest and most sought after color combo, only 312 produced in Arctic White. Aside from driving it, owning this car has been amazing.

Unless OP has to have it, she's not going anywhere. Ever. (Unless I find somebody that HAS to have it). Smiley If I'm lucky enough to have her and the loot in a year think she's going to have to go turbo. Build the transmission up, build the engine to mid 400 RWHP, then turbo-time. If money were no object... twin rear mounted turbos. Actually, I think since money is an object it would be best to save up and do it right.

And ohh the sound... sitting basically on top of the turbos.

51  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: "Dogie checked, issued one controller card" - Help/Thanks! on: March 16, 2015, 10:21:39 PM
Have you submitted a ticket to Bitmains support?

Just checking as "This situations was run by dogie, who said to enter a ticket with "Dogie checked, issued one controller card", which I think I've done here." sounds like you just are submitting problem to mining support forum not their support system.

I shall now submit a ticket with bitmain support. Should have asked for further details & clarification on what to do next.

Thanks notlist3d! And if around, dogie, please chime in.

Not a problem! They have some good guys who should be able to help Smiley

Waiting on repy, will update with how it is handled / possible a good fix / etc etc. Hope Bitmain / someone takes notice as this machine has been sent back for this before, noticed the fan cable almost disconnected from control board when it arrived back. Almost seems/feels lke the machine was setup to work as long as X Y and Z remained or didn't come up.

Long story short... downtime. If constantly flying home for visits there is no mining going on. And even Todd Hoffman knows if your wash plant ain't running you aren't making money. And that good old fashioned feeling like you might have a lemon waiting to go bad around the next corner is settling in. Do not want. Bitmain have been rocks thus far.

53  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Strange S5 Occurances - Solve it get a btc reward on: March 16, 2015, 08:04:50 PM
Hi fellow  miner,

The problem is mining with nicehash/westhash.  when they switch to low diff coins, the antminer s5 goes crazy and goes haywire.  hash rates go down, funny things happen.

try other pool such as antpool (well, not at the moment its down), and see your results.  give it a try!  I don't mine on westhash anymore, the s5 had too many problems.

ヽ༼◕ل͜◕༽ノ

That might make sense if I had or were using nicehash/westshash. As I've not been using those nor their pools, that doesn't explain it, I'm afraid.

Problems arose while using Btcguild and Antpool, established spots.

great to see cars over this forum Wink , hope you sell

cars on the forum? ask and ye shall receive!

sent a pic to OP earlier. think he's interested but weary of joining the The Corvette Family. to join you must commit a minimum of three felonies your first week of ownership. I can let you know which felonies count and which do not count upon change of keys.

let me know what your bottom dollar is now on that bavarian war machine?

55  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: March 16, 2015, 06:21:58 PM

Pokey, did you tape/cover the bottom fins on those S5's? Lots of air escapes from the bottom if you put them on a bread cart type cart. Can easily use blue painters tape or something. Not talking about a huge difference in temps, but a difference. And every temperature point counts for the life of the miner.

I have not, but I'm very interested in learning more! Please, educate me. Looking at it again, you are talking about sealing the bottom to get more air pushed through instead of having it dissipate out of the bottom. What materials do I have here at home suitable for this that won't catch on fire? Smiley Also guessing a single board or similar that all sit on flatly would do the same trick.

Also, have a fan behind them blowing air out, creates nice air flow at the intakes.

Luckily hit the jackpot connecting with an old friend lately. He's got dozens of fans and controllers and all that good stuff. Soon will have high end fans in a push pull with speed controllers. All at the best price possible!

thanks opentoe!

Are you 100 percent sure you flashed with S5 firmware?

yes

after flashing the latest firmware that is installed on the machines sitting next to it

Checked and double checked that I had the latest firmware from Bitmain for the S5. I flashed the machine after it began screwing the pooch and was uncontrollable/unreliable/etc. This machine is fresh from Bitmain after having the same issues (no 4 chain config was seen) resulting in the board being replaced, miner tested (?), then shipped.

This situations was run by dogie, who said to enter a ticket with "Dogie checked, issued one controller card", which I think I've done here.

Hope to hear back soon, please. Any additional info let me know.

Thank you!

Sent this to dogie regarding an S5 that is acting a fool. Seems machine has gone back to Bitmain once and was returned with a new/fixed contrrol board.

(may as well go all out, happy to edit as necessary)

Machine arrived good to go, but a little bit dusty. Could tell it had been wiped down. The nice bubble wrap bag was folded over on top of the machine which was in the proper foam casing. Wire to the fan was almost disconnected. But clean overall, and fired right up.

Then, the hashing dropped off some, no issues with heat, tried different pools, issue progressed negatively. Eventually had to Power / Reboot / Flash, seems to work fine but is very picky about changing pools. Not stable enough to go pool hopping!

Odd item, after flashing the latest firmware that is installed on the machines sitting next to it, my special guy shows 4 chains rather than 2. Odd!

Screen Capture. Hoping this leads to a new control board and instructions.... and a little something for the effort and to help out our impoverished BTCGuild mining consortium cavrtel corporation Inc. L.L.C. DBA 501(c)3 well...

"TEAM DOWNTIME"

humor helps (me). my fault!

Lol, I have to admit I found this quite amusing Tongue OP you should have had an escrow hold the BTC from the people willing to bet, you would have made a fortune! Wink

do me a favor and erase your post. if it ever works i'll kick you in on it
60  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 2 x Spondoolies SP20E - $500 ea. shipped on: March 12, 2015, 07:53:18 AM
Ooh Man.. .. Must/...... Not.... buy ... more... SP20's.....

*Just bought 8 this week*. ROFL

If you think about it... nothing is better than giving. Buy two and send me one, making it an even 10 for the week.

And when it arrives you can trade it to me for that cable.  I'll even give you free shipping on the cable cause I'm a nice guy like that.

I would love to do that, but trading isn't in the spirit here. Try to stay on track.

I'll give you some advice... look both ways, live more days. Man that felt good!

i want one of these machines so badly.
