82  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Hashie.co - Cloud Mining from $4.51 per 10 GH [FREE MINER!] - Trollbox Added! on: November 08, 2014, 06:53:56 PM
It's pretty interesting that in the span of a hour, this thread has received accusations from a number of newbie accounts with a particularly obvious agenda.

Their "free miner" lasted EXACTLY two weeks, after they felt like the person might not invest,or for any other reason known only to Hashie ,miner was removed

You might have been caught in the net when we removed thousands of free miners created by abusers around Hashie's launch (when we had no "must purchase to withdraw" limitation). We cleared these miners to make payouts run faster, but it has also caught miners that weren't created by abusers while matching the pattern. Please use the support form and we'd be happy to help you.

why are withdrawals from the same customers funds?

Our wallet obviously has customer deposits in addition to mined coins. We don't mine directly to that address (which also isn't our only address), and mining earnings from NiceHash / exchanged MM coins don't look like from a pool.

PS: If you think we're a scam just because of this, you should look into GAW/Zencloud and pretty much every service that uses a Bitcoin wallet..

-Sahra

If you noticed we didn't make this thread self-moderated also so we deserve some credit in doing so ( or maybe we should have! ) . Either way, we are honest and transparent about Hashie.

98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SilkRoad 2 Taken down by Feds on: November 06, 2014, 07:09:14 PM
Creating a website is writing code too, FBI had no issue arresting website operators.

Ahh... This is where you are confused. With Openbazaar there is no website to shutdown. https://openbazaar.org is merely for information and ca easily change TLD's or to a .bit to promote the project.

There is no server hosting Openbazaar to shutdown either, the marketplace exists across all users.

If TOR didn't protect silkroad 1.0, 2.0 etc... what makes you think anonymous code contributors are safe?

Nothing is 100% secure with anything digital or physical. The point is to make it impractical because the costs are too high. The FBI can afford to spend millions of dollars to track one server but not thousands.

The FBI can shut it down by arresting the operator, OB is no different. FBI can just arrest the developer of OB, and announce that anyone writing code for OB will be arrested. No developer will touch OB, and without active development, OB is dead in the water.

He brings up a good point . It isn't that hard to figure out who has what on OB and just arrest each person. I guess OB could be honeypot in a way ?
99  Other / Off-topic / Re: Post your Total time logged into Bitcointalk on: November 06, 2014, 05:56:56 PM
How can you spend that amount of time on a forum?
I honestly have no idea. I just keep visiting this forum I guess.

You've only been around since 2013  and I've been on this forum since 2011 and you have more time logged in ? huh ? Shocked
100  Other / Off-topic / Re: Tim Cook is Gay on: November 06, 2014, 05:56:13 PM
That's why the iPhone 6 plus is bent  Smiley someone had to say it.

LOL.. Is he really gay?

Yeah, he made a major press release to announce it.  It was already pretty much known though.

If it was pretty much known then why did have the announce it ?

I think this is the one problem people have with gays is they announce it to everyone.
