Earlier today, a user attempted to buy AAVE using $50M USDT through the Aave interface.

Given the unusually large size of the single order, the Aave interface, like most trading interfaces, warned the user about extraordinary slippage and required confirmation via a checkbox. The user confirmed the warning on their mobile device and proceeded with the swap, accepting the high slippage, which ultimately resulted in receiving only 324 AAVE in return.

right. casually trading $50M on a ... cellphone, swiping right past those annoying prompts...

The CoW Swap routers functioned as intended, and the integration followed standard industry practices.

2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would Satoshi say about BIP110? on: March 01, 2026, 01:18:26 PM

ECDSA can't encrypt messages, only sign signatures.

It would be unwise to have permanently recorded plaintext messages for everyone to see.  It would be an accident waiting to happen.

If there's going to be a message system, it should be a separate system parallel to the bitcoin network.  Messages should not be recorded in the block chain.  The messages could be signed with the bitcoin address keypairs to prove who they're from.

I hope this answers that question.

Interesting. After censoring my posting from yesterday that was well within limits of the permissible (quoting Satoshi), let's try that again, shall we?

Now go ahead and censor Satoshi posting 16 years ago. Let's establish a baseline here.

The amount of denial in coretard circles is quite interesting.
You are a shitcoin leech that has never contributed anything to Bitcoin, so you can fuck off.

sure. as you mention it, I'll better heed your instruction and do as you say.

usually I occasionally observe this circus out of academic interest.

now having excised a fundamental issue of cognitive dissonance in this petri dish, I will just leave you to it again.

well, almost- while I am at the kbd, remind me again please-

what was the thing again with Epstin investing in Blockstream and funding three of five core devs via MIT media lab?

reminder for you so you can look it up: just before the time when the increasing disjointness of BTC protocol started?

and all the other collaborations?

Did you deliberately cite me quite out of context? Have at least the decency to acknowledge that I was speaking of OP_RETURN context and not the way you try to frame it.

But that's probably the style of conversation your camp prefers.

Just to be clear, I don't like how Taproot and witness discount is exploited for silly inscriptions and bloating the blockchain with all sorts of crap. But I haven't seen a decent solution to this that doesn't do possibly severe harm.

It should be clear even for you that you can't shut down any method to put spam on the blockchain and likely we both don't want spammers to dodge to methods that permanently bloat the UTXO set.

One of the problems is that actors and gullible people entertain a market for Bitcoin blockchain spam where few will make profit in the end and don't care a shit about blockchain "health" and future of Bitcoin.

The above mentioned report shows that the OP_RETURN drama has no solid roots and evidence. It's framed and abused for other agendas that no camp has good solutions for.

if I misunderstood you and arbitrary data storage is not one of the use cases we just have today, I would apologize.

otherwise, if you'd be naive enough to incrementally fragment the protocol on the belief that assertions like

constitute a solid basis for a fundamental technology: you'd be a total and utter moron and imbecile.

moron.

BTC protocol has been discombabulated for over ten years now by malicious actors.

Go ask your friends Brock, Adam Back, Joi Ito etcetc where they got their inspirations.

The amount of denial in coretard circles is quite interesting.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Epstein Truth. on: February 12, 2026, 03:50:15 AM

the final desperate retard reality denial: everything can be an illusion, maybe it is all just fake???

My point is, how do we know that all those documents about Epstein are not computer generated by AI acting with (sort of) automatic writing?

Meanwhile:

and I won't engage in a quotation contest, the whole rotten house of lies is collapsing too fast for that, I just found this one too quaint to not throw into this bamboozled tap dance here ..

wait .. or was it Adam Back ... or .. wait...

well ... time flies ..

Today, CHIPS will launch on Verus chain to be available for Pangea Poker app ...

https://bridge.chips.cash/

Since Bitcointalk is soooo crypto stoneage going back to 2014 - 2016 and almost noone uses it anymore anyway, I'll just leave it at that and invite anyone interested to get info more on Verus discord.

...

Now you take that memorized software knowledge and don't show up for a while. Because when I come back you won't have an answer.

Note: I definitely know who this Puzzle maker is. There are also proofs of this. But I don't want to share anything with you about this. Because you are not a good person. You are selfish, only thinking about your own pocket.

A note to the puzzle creator: MM - 1991 (only he understands this.)

I am intrigued- surely love a crispy mystery ... also I think there is high likelihood of this coming out sooner or later - probably rather later, but someone cooked up a really interesting riddle!
Alas, no time and resources to participate myself, but it beats other spectator sports for sure!  Cool
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin puzzle transaction ~32 BTC prize to who solves it on: January 25, 2025, 06:51:06 PM
Apologies if this has been addressed yet -
did anyone follow backwards to where these coins came from?

If this is mentioned earlier already, can someone maybe please just point me to there?

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The PATRIOT Act comes to cryptocurrency on: November 25, 2023, 12:16:46 AM
I have not read the full thread yet, and will catch up on this over the next few days.

In the meantime, I can't refrain from mentioning that there is an impressive number of privacy oriented projects in the crypto space, which is the way to go.

Including DEXes, SC platforms, mesh networks, naming systems, etc.

Currently I am wondering if this is a forum for a real discussion or if there are Maxi Mullahs already adapting their heresy Fatwahs against all that is not BTCBTC that may appear in the discussion...

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: SPAM TX with 79 recipients and 860 Sat to each blocking my funds on: September 13, 2023, 02:00:37 PM
l8orre, I just created a watch-only wallet with your address in electrum and tried several servers.
Some of them still had your transaction (and its parent) in their mempool and some of them had dropped your transaction from their mempool.

As mentioned by o_e_l_e_o above, you should be able to broadcast a new transaction using electrum.

If you imported your wallet and you saw your transaction, try different servers until you find a one that doesn't have your transaction in its mempool.
If your transaction status changed to local, right click on it and select "Remove".

In the case you connect to a server that doesn't have your transaction, you can broadcast your transaction even if the server's node hasn't enabled full RBF.

Due to security reasons, it's better to create a watch-only wallet with your address for finding a server which doesn't have your transaction in its mempool and broadcasting your transaction.
As suggested by o_e_l_e_o, import your private key and sign your transaction on an air-gapped device.

Thank You so much Sir, this worked!!!

I created a view only electrum wallet on another device, found the spurious dust TX, went through the servers, found one that listed this TX as 'local', deleted it from there,
and was able to send (from another, secure rig) a small-ish TX with a beefy fee from another address to that my original address.
Now my original child TX has disappeared, while the spurious dust TX is still pending, but I can send funds again!

Hard to follow how this could work, but it did!

Thank You!

These two precursor TXs look interesting, they do seem to be some kind of consolidation protocol.
The latter one that blocked my TX was someone spreading out a change TX over 79 other addresses (seemingly random),
and the precursor to that one received 60 inputs with almost the same amounts, all from 3xy addresses
- looks like some consolidation or intermingling going on ..
Also, why would someone disperse  0.00086367 BTC - 22.38 USD of change, seemingly just to get rid of it?
This is the precursor TX to the offending change dispersal: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/ba3c96897174501fec909952ae590176b9211f2a3ae4d3b844fcc26a474756bc
I am not that much of a blockchain sleuth, but it sure looks weird...
So if the sender does not up the fee a bit it will bounce sooner or later, and to what purpose was it sent then?
Was this done specifically to bounce eventually?
Or a SPAM attack on BTC with underfunded TXs that are meant to bloat the mempool?
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: SPAM TX with 79 recipients and 860 Sat to each blocking my funds on: September 13, 2023, 01:24:51 AM
Thanks for the comments - we will see how it plays out.
viabtc offers to 'rectify' the situation for just ~0.09 BTC and I am not quite willing to pay for that.

I am using a coin-specific multiwallet that does not have much fee control- but this would have happened with any wallet I guess,
because the culprit is the incoming TX.

I guess electrum or bitcoin core would have displayed the pending dust TX, but that also can be overlooked.

What weird behaviour, I seem to remember that the dust attacks from 2 or 3 years ago were allegedly done as some kind of marketing gimmick.
I just hope it gets dropped from the mempool sooner or later...

Yes, this is the parent TX to the 79-output-TX and is is also still unconfirmed:
https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/ba3c96897174501fec909952ae590176b9211f2a3ae4d3b844fcc26a474756bc

This parent TX has 60 senders, all of them 3xyz.. multsig addresses, and the TX going to the subsequent address that sent the dust seems to be a change address-
could this be some kind of mixer?
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / SPAM TX with 79 recipients and 860 Sat to each blocking my funds on: September 12, 2023, 09:04:57 PM
I have a TX stuck, and seems the culprit is an INCOMING TX I got to my wallet.
I was not aware of this incoming TX and spent an output that depends on that mysterious input.
So my TX has 18vByte/Sat which is ok, but this weird 860 Sat TX has a large size and a fee of 6 Sat/ vByte and is unconfirmed.
I have no idea where this is from, but here it is:
https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/transaction/95e315f00b48201655877d8d86817748fe32b1d7d339c5a334dac28328a4c939
so this TX has 79 receivers that all got 860 Sat and 6 Sat per Byte, and has been stuck for 3 days now.
Effectively blocking 79 addresses with expenditure of

0.00068022BTC (17.62USD) and Transaction fee 0.00018345BTC (4.75USD)
...
fun fact: I tried

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

and the free service did not work bcs TX too large, and the paid service.....
came up with a price tag of ..... 0.09BTC !!!!! $2100 to accelerate this TX!

Can anyone make anything of this? Is this some kind of mapping attack with dust (like cpl years ago),
Or is it a sabotage attempt to block as many wallets as possible?
Anybody else finding themselves in this trap?
This appears rather sinister...

Because as a matter of fact, my TX as well as the rest of the funds in my wallet now seem to be effectively frozen...

if this is is not the right place for this, please direct me there - I looked around but did not see anything about it
19  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Python installation of Electrum on latest Linux kernel (6.0 and above) on: September 02, 2023, 01:21:33 AM

I have been using electrum python (old 3.x.y version) and Appimage on Linux, lately the Appimage of 4.1.2

As 4.1.2 is getting a bit old too, maybe I should update to a more recent version.

However, I am concerned with security, and having python code would allow me to read it.

I know quite a bit of python, but I am no networking Guru- is there maybe a collection of suspicious code fragments to search for in the python code?

This seems esp. important because a malware would be hidden in some otherwise networking unrelated module and be called from some unconspicuous function for obfuscation.

Like, the typical routines a malware would use, like establishing network connections other than to the electrum servers etc.?
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and me (Hal Finney) on: August 01, 2023, 05:32:18 PM

this is not necessarily about Hal, but since he was certainly closely involved with Satoshi
(if not with Satoshi Nakamoto Nakamoto, then at least with his close neighbour Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto)

I would like to put this out here about the double whitespace riddle:

https://vimhelp.org/options.txt.html#%27joinspaces%27

Quote
         'joinspaces' 'js' 'nojoinspaces' 'nojs'
'joinspaces' 'js'   boolean   (default on)
         global
Insert two spaces after a '.', '?' and '!' with a join command.
When 'cpoptions' includes the 'j' flag, only do this after a '.'.
Otherwise only one space is inserted.
NOTE: This option is set when 'compatible' is set.

Could this be the explanation for this quirk in Satoshis writings?
