81  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: X6500 Custom FPGA Miner on: January 16, 2012, 08:21:19 PM
Looking at the picture of the X6500 without heatsinks on Cablesaurus.com, it appears there is no mounting holes for a heatsink/fan combo - can we only use adhesive tape to attach them?
82  Bitcoin / Pools / p2pool - Decentralized, Absolutely DoS-Proof, Pool Hopping-Proof Pool [archival] on: January 15, 2012, 11:01:40 AM
I've moved over 3GH/s - imo: this is the future of mining, centralization in the form of pools as they are today is not what bitcoin is supposed to be about

Some say p2pool is similar to the way satoshi had envisioned mining to be Smiley

84  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Non Merged Mining Pools ? on: December 23, 2011, 08:23:31 PM
Please someone with a clue correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't your miner drop work and not submit it when it receives a long poll when it's already doing some work?

And extra long polls from merged mining then cause you to submit less work?
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Mt.Gox reloaded : Welcome to Mt.Gox's new and improved design! on: December 03, 2011, 03:06:39 AM
V1 MtGox was a case of "first impressions last" and put many off with no other place to go for similar liquidity, it's maybe why TradeHill got a number of people IMO.

Anyway, great job guys - keep up the good work Smiley

So when are these devices (tentatively) scheduled to be sent out to everyone (pre-orders)?
Go read or something.

Where do they mention anything more recent than a few weeks in to November on http://butterflylabs.com/ ?

Is there something wrong with v0.17 Windows x86+x64 binaries when generating namecoin addresses?

If it's a list of 100, how come there are spots over 100 available?  Huh

No code improvements for higher hashrate yet?
94  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [20 BTC] Multithreaded Keep-alive Implementation in Bitcoind on: November 25, 2011, 10:36:48 AM
http://davids.webmaster.com/~davids/bitcoin-4diff-5beta.txt

This is a "first working version". It patches cleanly, compiles, and passes my basic functional tests.

Quite a few of my optimizations were already made. Yay!

I guess I'll have to start working on some new ones.

Hi David,

What are your thoughts on the final 0.5.0 release?
95  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER CPU/GPU miner overclock monitor fanspeed in C linux/windows/osx 2.0.8 on: November 16, 2011, 09:25:56 PM
From what I have read so far, the 100% CPU fix for 2+ GPUs with 11.11 drivers may be Linux only

97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a light-weight bitcoin client for IOS ? on: November 16, 2011, 02:40:32 AM
Why would apple reject bitcoin apps?

They want to process all payments issued by i<device>, because that makes them money. But maybe with a whopping fee of 50% they might approve a BTC app someday.

There is the PayPal app ...
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Pushpool - Tech Support on: November 07, 2011, 06:42:07 PM
Guys,

I can't find a valid share (YAY!!!) even using minerd with Litecoind (solo mining)...
This is because I'm too small?!

Thanks!
Thiago

Try testnet first?
