201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOTE]DNotes - DNotesVault Now Open for Registration! on: May 02, 2015, 08:32:28 PM

What technologies are most important to the future and success of DNotes?

1 ) An easy to use merchant payment verification system that doesn't require a third party
2 ) Cloud storage of the blockchain. Wallets sync with cloud instantly and no lag time at startup. This is a centralized item, however, but would be of great benefit. Instant syncing, instant sending, etc.
3 ) Versatile tipping program for various websites and social media outlets
4 ) POS style reward system
5 ) Making DNotes secure for everyone to use no matter their situation
6 ) Instant exchange functionality for the DNotesVault
7 ) Total smartphone solution for all DNotes functionality including vault and instant exchange functionality

What major issues with the existing financial system can DNotes solve?

1 ) Instant transfers of money.
2 ) Micro transactions, under $1 are not feasible. The transaction fees make micro transactions unprofitable if not impossible.

What services are most important to the future and success of DNotes?

1 ) Direct and simple fiat to DNotes exchange.
2 ) Accessibility and Ease of Use
3 ) CLEARLY outlining benefits, programs, future of DNotes
4 ) 24/7 support
5 ) Multilingual support
6 ) Assurance of store of value
7 ) Credit/Debit Card
8 ) ATM services
9 ) Refill service for prepaid/sim cards

What major obstacles does DNotes face to achieve success?

1 ) Half of the world's population does not have banking access and is therefore excluded from participating in economic growth.
2 ) Combating and rising above the bad reputation bitcoin has (whether it is deserved or not).
3 ) Mainstream media negativity of any cryptocurrency in general.
4 ) Develop global name recognition. When people think "crypto" or "Bitcoin" now, they should simply think "DNotes" in the future.

In recent discussions, investment funds were used as a way to invest in digital currency. Do you guys feel this is an important service to the future and success of DNotes?

I think an investment fund is a great idea, as most people feel more comfortable being part of a group, rather than acting as an individual. However, if the sole holding of that investment fund was DNotes,  the only reason that they would be participating is because we didn't teach them how to use DNotes without a third party service.

Fund managers and investors may want to manage all of their funds in one place and in the same way the manage all of the other investments. Opening a vault account may not sound like a big deal, but it may be for them. It will also allow them to track the price of the fund in the existing tools they already use. Another advantage is the manager of the fund will likely have the ability to invest in DNotes in a specific way that is advantageous to DNotes. Lastly, if someone wants to sell their investment in the DNotes fund, that does not mean they are selling DNotes, they are selling the fund to someone else, so it's almost like the money goes into DNotes but doesn't come out really. I could be wrong on some of this stuff, I'm not an experienced trader.

Good points on the advantages. Not to sound like a pessimist, but a few more disadvantages to an investment fund are that people have very limited (if any) access to their funds, there is usually a waiting period to receive their money, and sometimes there are penalties for cashing out before it`s maturity date.

Rocky did a great job relaying the CryptoMoms message, while brining people up to speed on some current happenings in our industry. I'd say she aced that interview.

An experienced developer agreed to help out on DNotes Educational Guide Version 2, and we've been making great progress over the past few days. Expect to see an update within the next month.

While adding news articles on V4DC and FF4DC, I couldn't help but notice that the CRISP logos were a bit lackluster. Maybe a stylish logo would help boost brand recognition?

Looks great CryptoBroker79!

Yeah as of now they are less of a logo and more of the DNotes brand font. We can give it shot, it will be interesting to say the least.

Perhaps some of our available community members could come up with a design.

Imaging if somebody was irresponsible enough to put a smart contract in the future through the Blockchain using Paypal!? Let's say it was a 'coloured coin' that represented ownership of a $500,000 property as outlined in the contract included in the blockchain transaction... Paypal are saying they have right to it.

Way to ruin your reputation, and trust from your community!!! They should clear this up soon.

PayPal's legal troubles have been piling up for years, perhaps this is why they and EBay announced a split. Here are just a few of the many legal issues involving PayPal.

April 20, 2015
"On April 9 (2015), PayPal Holdings Inc. (“PayPal”) issued a regulatory filing indicating that it may soon face a lawsuit from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.  The CFPB is targeting the activities of PayPal’s payments service, which lets consumers buy products before paying for them."

October 17, 2012
"PayPal will follow Sony, Microsoft, Netflix, and many others in banning class action lawsuits by customers. Its new terms of service require any disputes between a user and PayPal to be resolved with arbitration, or in small claims court if they qualify."
http://www.theverge.com/2012/10/17/3511792/paypal-class-action-suit-ban

June 1, 2012
"The suit, filed in 2010, alleges eBay’s accepted payments policy has made PayPal the only viable payment method, and forces sellers to pay fees to both the marketplace and PayPal."

EBay Denies Having Monopoly Over Online Auctions
"The sellers allege that eBay forces them to pay inflated transaction fees through its PayPal service."

April 6, 2007
Michael Malone filed an antitrust class-action lawsuit against eBay this week under the Sherman Act, alleging eBay "utilizes its nationwide monopoly of the on-line auction market to monopolize the available forms of payment that sellers can use on eBay." eBay controls which payment methods sellers may advertise in their listings, and this year, it eliminated buyer-protection for non-PayPal transactions.

EBay is banning sellers from requesting payment through Google Checkout. The online auction giant updated its Safe Payments policy this week to add Google's new payment service, Google Checkout to its list of online payment methods not permitted on EBay.

February 21, 2002
"PayPal frequently locks customers accounts if it suspects that fraud played a part in a transaction, even if the amount in doubt is a fraction of the total amount in an account... Under the guise of needing to protect consumers from fraud, they themselves are guilty of fraudulent abuse of their customers."

Cash costs Americans $200 billion a year
http://www.cnbc.com/id/101103705

"Electronic payments by phone, card and computer continue to gain market share. And yet millions of Americans keep using cash."

"A new study by Tufts University, The Cost of Cash in the United States, puts that price tag at about $200 billion a year. This figure includes $55 billion in higher costs to businesses, $43 billion for U.S. households and $101 billion in missed tax revenue because of off-the books transactions. For the average American family, the cost of cash is about $1,739 a year."

Hey Chase, CRISP sounds so great. There is a lot than be done and a lot synergy which exists between CosmicHQ and CRISP because of what we are wanting to accomplish.

Cosmic HQ has the ability of organization and it also has the ability of programming plans so that they come into action as well having people who are capable of putting these plans into place.

One of the goals of Oodia Baba Initiative (you can read more about at oodiababa.com) is to connect developing countries to the 21st century as well as to connect them with what is else is going so that they can make up their own mind about it. The goal is to bring it about everywhere that it is needed. Because people do not want to be behind in the times and because of this being behind in the times, they actually feel pain because of it. One of the goals of Cosmic HQ is to erase this pain so that they experience pleasure and a sense of satisfaction which results from pleasing that void.

Oodia Baba recently visited India and he personally saw what life is like in Indian villages. It is something which a lot of you could not stand to live in for more than a day. Another goal which accompanies these activities is creating employment for these people. And this is being done by Cosmic HQ's KPO/BPO company Stellar Business International.

There is a lot going on and I will keep writing to you about it so that you know about us.

What an awesome initiative! I like how your team understands that it takes more than throwing money at a problem to solve it. Like the old saying goes, "Give a man a fish, you have fed him for the day; Teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime". Keep up the good work.

Found this on ccn

Bitcoin price is being traded lower in small price steps as buyers eagerly take advantage of new lows, and profit takers fill in the ending of the current wave of decline. After another correction we could see an additional wave of decline. Will it be foreshortened by buying demand or catastrophic due to mass participation?

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-price-decline-coming/

What does everyone think? Are we headed for a price decline in bitcoin?

I'm not sure if the price will continue to decline as it has for the past 15 months, but Bitcoin needs something big to reverse the trend. Something like dedicated savings programs for everyday people, and a guarantee fund backed vault.

Creating an app or tool or even a site such as infovortice2013's blog for DNotes now may wind up a profitable venture in the future. CryptoBroker79 created a tool that will become very useful for introducing people to DNotes and helping them get started. As it is upgraded and more features added it could end up earning some advertising revenue. We encourage everyone to think of how they can contribute now.

This is a very important insight. We've all been given a very rare opportunity, the chance to build organizations that can grow with DNotes.

Bitcoin grew too big, too soon, for the majority to have a chance at creating their own product or small business. The high cost of Bitcoin restricts a lot of startups to those with deep pockets, quite often corporations.

An email I just revieved from an advertising agency,

"Dear Cryptobroker team,

My name is Clara and I am specialized in helping android developers to better monetize their apps on Google Play. Our premium advertisers are currently looking to buy android traffic at a very high price in apps like Dnotes Educational Guide.

We think you can generate up to $10 CPM with their full screen ads, which are very clean. Indeed, most of our advertisers are willing to pay, on average, between $1 and $3 per installation. You're free to display these ads whenever you want in your app so that it's not intrusive.

If you'd like to learn more, don't hesitate to ask me. You can also visit our website: the link is in my signature Wink

What do you think? Do you want to give it a try?

Kindest regards,

Clara Lambert
Account manager
www.adbuddiz.com"

I chose to decline, for many reasons. But it's exciting to know that turning on an app revenue stream can be that easy.

DNotes Educational Guide has been updated to include new how-to guides on mining, faucets, and setting up a desktop wallet.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tool.DNotesEDU

Included is information about mining on an Android device, with step by step instructions that I've tested. My phone hashed at 10 kh/s, which would earn .03 DNotes per day. Not bad if you have an old device laying around, wifi, and no bandwidth limit. If 100,000 phones mining at one time equals 1 GH/s, imagine what a larger portion of the one billion Android owners could contribute to our network hashrate.

I want everyone's opinion on this one:

Which name do you prefer, "DNotes Digital Currency Education Tool" or "DNotes Guide to Digital Currency"? Also if you have a suggestion, I'm open to hearing new ideas.

The app is currently called DNotes Education Tool, and is available on Google Play.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tool.DNotesEDU

I would recommend
Cryptocurrency Quiz - How much do you know about digital currency?

Using digital currency because it is the 'preferred term' didn't elude me, but I think more people will search for cryptocurrency.
http://www.straply.com/search/cryptocurrency
Click on the different apps to see more.

I also recommend, no matter what name you chose, to make very descriptive so the customer knows exactly what is when they see the title (if I search for something on my phone, all I see is the title and author).

Great job on the app. How about when someone answers, having a little description about the answer? "That's correct. Good job! A paper wallet can be a safe option if you learn how to ... Click here to Continue"

Great idea for the name, I'll include it in the next update. Not only is is more descriptive, but contains more keywords, I like it.

The other idea is good too, it was included in the update I launched last night.
