1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Velox Project [VLX] | The Future of Anonymous & Decentralized Trading on: May 14, 2018, 10:04:43 PM
Very cool project. Will be watching how this develops. Only wish i could mine the coin!
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Dogecoin have a future? on: May 14, 2018, 08:19:20 PM
Many future. Much micro-transaction. Many wowz.

I think Dogecoin will always have a place in the crypto space. Been holding Doge and lurking the Doge communities since before the Wolong shenanigans. Will always be a fan, and i think there are millions of other users around the world who feel the same.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Serious ASIC question: Why aren't all (ASIC resistant) coins just multi-algo? on: May 14, 2018, 07:37:56 PM
inb4 ASIC resistance is a myth, i'm aware of that. That being said:

I remember when XVG was smashed by litecoin ASIC miners back in the day, and the multi-algo solution seemed to work decently to keep their coin "ASIC resistant." With the Z9 on the way, i'm curious as to why most coins don't just add algorithms to their chain as XVG once did. This isn't a shill of that coin by the way, i'm just genuinely intrigued as to why that sort of solution isn't implemented for more chains. Is it technically difficult to implement? Does there need to be the right PoW environment (enough GPU miners to compete with ASICs to even out the difficulty)?

Can anyone shed some light on this topic?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE OR LITECOIN on: May 14, 2018, 07:00:16 PM
I can't believe this needs to be asked. What on earth do people continue to see in XRP? Can anyone fill me in? Back in the day the boards largely hated Ripple, but i keep seeing these X Vs Ripple topics and they make me wonder if people actually consider Ripple a worthwhile crypto these days.

Good luck reviving the project guys. Looked interesting.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to Bitcoin Cash? on: May 14, 2018, 02:17:45 AM
I think Bcash's antagonistic presence in the space has done it more harm than good at this point, it will take a long time to recover from all the ill will it has generated in the crypto space in my opinion.
7  Other / Off-topic / Re: The Meaning of life...? on: May 14, 2018, 02:09:17 AM
I always say, "the meaning of life is meaning, and it's meaning you and Information create as One."

I also say "Life IS the meaning of life"

I also say "Experience is the code on which all of Time is written" (a little ditty about natural systems and the nature of an observer)

In terms of "God" or concepts like it, i've experienced this understanding first hand and tend to hold it as truth: http://wondergressive.com/1610-god-fractal-self-replicating-algorith/

Interesting it claims to be quantum proof, i'm always looking for coins with that claim.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Buck] Buck - Low Fees, POW-Equihash No-Tax on: May 14, 2018, 01:33:54 AM
Started mining this today and quite happy with the qt-client and mining results. Are there any plans to move the wallet out of BETA?
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Anyone remember Altcoin Calendar? on: May 12, 2018, 08:01:00 PM
There used to be an active website that had a calendar of upcoming altcoins. It's so hard to find PoW coins outside of the Announcement board these days, and while i love the board it's littered with ICO's. Does anyone know of any good "upcoming altcoin" resources other than the ANN board?
