281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: December 27, 2021, 01:03:51 PM
Hi Patrike, i have converted miners in "Managed Profit Miner" state and configured this miner with Generic miner wich was uploaded to rig Linux system. All work good, but in main view i cant see the temperature and power consumption of the cards in rig. The cards temperature and wattage only can be viewed in down part of main window in GPU tab. Can you please improve AM to show this information in main list view of miners like usualy in "Manged Profit Miner" state. Option "Enable GPU monitoring for Generic Miner" is activated for each miner.
Regards and Mary Christmas.
Thanks for the feedback. We will improve this in the next release, to include the temperature readings in the miner list as well for this scenario.

Hi Patrike found another bug. I want upload a custom miner software to the Linux rig. This custom mining software folder contain a subfolders with different files, but after uploading AM has created a miner folder in "/root/.local/share/AwesomeMinerService/UploadedSoftware" with miner name without subfolders. The subfolders was put like a files with names: 'bin\cuda-18'  'bin\cuda-20'  'config\config.json'  'data\empty'
Looks like this is old problem with unpacking on Linux systems. The subfolders/files strukture will be wrong copied to destination.
I use AM ver. 9.1 at the moment.
Regards
Thanks for this report as well. This will be corrected in the next release.
282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: December 27, 2021, 01:02:03 PM
I add new coin into my Awesome Miner. But Dynamic update is unable to read value from: https://explorer-us.avn.network/api/getdifficulty.
Please help me
Thanks for your question. When trying with this URL, I do see a value like this in the Response output:
"1098.537839547397"

Awesome Miner is also showing this value in the dialog to indicate it was read successful.

Are other Dynamic update sources working in your case or are all of them failing?

Is there a way to add my own miner for a particular coin?
Yes, in most cases this is possible.

This is a good starting point:
https://support.awesomeminer.com/support/solutions/articles/35000086018-managed-software-add-and-customize-mining-software

Are you using the profit switcher and for a certain algorithm, you want a custom mining software? If you right click on a Managed Profit Miner and select Edit Profit Profile, you will find a list of algorithms. By selecting an algorithm you can modify the mining software to use for this specific algorithm.

Could you post the changelog to the L3+ firmware update 3.9? Thank you!
We will add this to our web site soon.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: December 15, 2021, 07:21:44 PM
is it normal, that in newest Awesome miner firmware i cant set Firmware mining profile anymore? i get "not supported" with first S9 i tried with this new FW

downgrade to 3.8.6 is also not possible anymore?!

whats going on in the firmware section?

and i really still need a hint how to manage Braiins OS+ miners...at least pool config and reboot should work...pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease  Grin
We will very soon release Awesome Miner 9.1 to support the Mining Profile configuration in combination with S9 firmware v3.9.

BraiinsOS is supported for monitoring but the operation support is limited. As most of our users are either running the Bitmain default firmware our the Awesome Miner firmware, these are the two prioritized firmware for Awesome Miner.

In case you can enable SSH on BraiinsOS, can you use this to at least be able to reboot the miner?
so your advice is "use other services and dont buy more licenses, cause it is only for monitoring, which can be done on other platforms for free"?!

liked your tool and all - but...with no effort to get other firmware than vnish to work...itīs a shame...sorry!
also the new 3.9.0 - no way to flash other firmware...you should point to it...but you be silent and take additional dev fee for...what?! (vnish 1,8% - your software 3% or license +2%)

again..dont get me wrong...your tool is great...but service - get worse over time
Thanks for your feedback. It's always a matter of priorities. We would love to support 100% of all ASIC miners and 100% of all firmware combinations out there, but as this isn't realistic we must prioritize based on where we have a demand. So far we have not seen much demand for BraiinsOS and this is the reason why the support is limited. This was simply to answer why the support for BraiinsOS is limited today (low demand) - it was not a statement that we never will improve the BraiinsOS integration. We have made a number of adjustments to Awesome Miner in the past to make it more compatible with custom firmware. If there is a demand, we will of course look into it.

I always listen and make notes of all suggestions and requests we get. Based on that we try to make as many users as happy as possible. So your feedback is appreciated.

To answer your question about the dev fee. It's the same for Awesome Miner and all other Vnish firmware. The only exception is for S9 where we have the 3% edition as well. All Vnish based firmware has 2% mining fee for S9 and 3% mining fee for S17. The number 2% is by some marketed as 1.8% as it's closer to 1.8% on average over a longer period of time, while 2% is the maximum at any given moment. We call it 2% to make it simple, while the true average number is actually a bit lower (closer to 1.8%).

For Antminer S17 the dev fee is 3% for all Vnish based firmware, including the Awesome Miner Antminer firmware. The benefit of running the Awesome Miner version of the firmware is that we give you the management and monitoring via Awesome Miner at no additional cost.

We have considered to use the number 1.8% and 2.8% instead of 2% and 3% to avoid any confusion when comparing firmwares.

Version 3.9 includes a new signature check for the firmware in order to prevent Antminer viruses from taking over your Antminer.  There are unfortunately Antminer viruses out that causing major issues for those getting their Antminers infected. This signature check is the reason why a downgrade will be rejected via the web interface. Flashing via SD-card will of course still work so you can change to any other firmware if you want.

UPDATE: I looked into BraiinsOS and BraiinsOS+ and have implemented support for the Reboot and Default Pools operations.

Hi Patrike,

AM show the average hashrate for Teamblackminer in the performance column instead of the realtime hashrate but only on AMD System. On my Nvidia rigs, it show the realtime hashrate. Can you take a look in it?
In my system with a mix of AMD and nVidia I do see the average hashrate value being reported as the hashrate for both AMD and nVidia. The TeamBlackMiner only reports one single hashrate per GPU so this cannot be resolved in Awesome Miner. I will reach out to sp_ for this.

Hi Patrike, how can be realised a trigger for host system overload on Linux platform like Hive OS ?
Sometimes my rigs with LHR cards on Linux (Hive) show a big LA (Load average) and system hang, only hard reboot help in this situation. Cant find a solution for that, looks like this is a common problem with LHR unlock.
In Hive Web interface user can define a watchdog for high system LA, but in AM i cant find a triiger for that scenario.
Can you please integrate this trigger, where user can compare LA with defined value and then process some action.
Regards
There are no trigger conditions for this today but I will look into adding support for it. Thanks for the suggestion.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: December 01, 2021, 06:56:48 AM
Yup, been having the same issue here, remote rigs are not seen for a good minute or two, even re-installed the main program and clients and drivers for GPU's, still get the same results.

In my case Patrik helped me to find another active copy of AM on my other notebook, which was causing conflicts and delays. The situation improved after I disabled it. However, BSODs still happen regardless of OC settings, no idea what to do with that.

Also, I'm still having trouble configuring ETH+ZIL dual mining. I re-read sxemini's guide, studied pool instructions but currently my miner (T-rex) immediately connects to Ezil/Rustpool instead of Ethermine and drops connection by timeout. Screenshots are attached, what am I doing wrong?

PS Tried adding following line to extra parameters, same result:  -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://asia.ezil.me:5555 -u <ETH address> -p <ZIL address>@asia1.ethermine.org:4444 -w Rig2 --extra-dag-epoch 0

The ezil.me mining pool uses the following configuration concept (taken from https://ezil.me/start)
t-rex -a ethash -o stratum+tcp://asia.ezil.me:5555 -u ETH_WALLET.ZIL_WALLET -p x -w WORKER

From what I can see, there is no concept of specifying your own ETH-mining pool here.

1) The "Pool URL" field in Awesome Miner should be: stratum+tcp://asia.ezil.me:5555
2) The "Worker name" field in Awesome Miner should be on the following format, as it's corresponding to the full user name: ETH_WALLET.ZIL_WALLET
3) The "Password" and "Wallet address" fields in Awesome Miner should be left blank.

In case you want to use the "WORKER" parameters as well (optional), you may have to manually add "-w WORKER" in the additional command line.

Anyone having issues with remote agent refusing to restart with windows reboot?
Remote Agent is set to automatically start with Windows, but you must still start it manually each time? Is this a default setup where Remote Agent runs under your local user account or have you modified any permissions or forced Admin-permissions for the Remote Agent executable (not recommended). Any security software running that could prevent applications for automatically starting?
297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: November 30, 2021, 02:03:42 PM
Since 9.0.4 or 9.0.5 weird things are happening to AM and one of my rigs. Whenever it reboots AM just doesn't see it until minutes later, then reports rig as stopped and doesn't start the miner (manually or automatically) until I restart the AM on my controlling PC. All machines run Win10 with latest Nvidia drivers, I tried reinstalling both but it didn't solve the problem. Another rig works just fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

PS Reboots started happening a week or two ago with BSOD indicating  nvlddmkm.sys pagefile error, no idea how to fix this so far Sad

Yup, been having the same issue here, remote rigs are not seen for a good minute or two, even re-installed the main program and clients and drivers for GPU's, still get the same results.

Not getting the reboots tho, using the latest Nvidia DCH drivers here.

@patrike, maybe you can look into the first issue to see what's causing this.

This happens if something is wrong with your Remote client installation or the windows of the remote client. And sometimes AM need a little bit to recognize a client after the reboot, but i think it is normal.

Did not have this issue before until version 9.0.X .... and nothing has changed here on the rigs other than drivers for the GPU's and the re-install of the client and main app in an attempt to fix the issue, but it still persists and can take up to 2 minutes to see the remote rigs on the same network / submask.
Can you please send me the Awesome Miner and Remote Agent log file and let me know the time of the issue? I will of course investigate to see what the issue might be. As Commie pointed out, his case was related to running two Awesome Miner instances connected to the same Remote Agent.
