indeed... and the fact most are understandably clueless at financial management. After all, hookers and blow has a fairly poor ROI. I'm not sure about hookers (unless they're yours), but blow can make a very healthy RoI if used properly. |

Obviously if this happens, a lot of new millionaires, billionaires and maybe even trillionaires will be born. Do you think this would have a large impact on society? Would this cause nocoiners to become the new low class? Would prices of every day goods rise? Would Fiat currency even be worth anything? Or would we just have a lot of new money in an otherwise unchanged society?
(Hopefully) obviously, this post is purely hypothetical and in reference to John McAfee's prediction.

Buying a house in cash is a waste of equity. Think bigger!
What about paying off an existing mortgage with free BCash, investing over $2M in a managed portfolio for the next 20 years, and retiring early ?  As I said to the last person, if that financial situation is good enough for you, so be it. It just seems like the general consensus from Bitcoin "investors" here is that retiring is more interesting than the game of investing itself. I guess I just have a different outlook on things. I personally would never retire early with just two million. |

My lambo is my brand new fully paid off house. Less flashy but also less childish. Why would you pay for a home with cash when at least 80% of it could have been reinvested? That is functionally equivalent to investing borrowed money. I'm not willing to invest borrowed money. Bitcoin is neat. I understand the protocol better than 99.999% of people, and I think I understand enough about economics and fiance to see the value proposition in that protocol, but I still don't trust myself nearly enough to invest with borrowed money. There could always be some part of the picture that I'm just missing. It's not worth losing everything I have because I made an error. Most of investing is done with borrowed money lol. There is such a thing as good debt. But if you're happy with your financial situation, then good for you. Keep doing you. |

Well said. Lambos are gauche symbols for the uncultured nouveaux riche who crave attention. Or for car people. Don't forget the world isn't black and white. It's been my dream to own a Lamborghini since I was a small child because I like them. No need for the hate. |

The fact that there are so many bullish signs and we're still falling in price worries me. If whales are manipulating the market and really have this much control, I'm wondering how Bitcoin will become stable enough for mass adoption in the near future.
Still hodling though. I'll sink with this ship if I have to.
