1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔴🔴🔴 [ANN][ICO] 🔷 BLINKED 🔷 MOBILE ADVERTISING 🔴🔴🔴 on: August 30, 2018, 07:46:53 PM
I love the idea of creating this social media platform for recommendations as it is not trending. Good luck.

Thank you!

Is there a minimum (soft cap) amount you need to gather in total investments in order for the project to start?
And what is the final date for the Ico? I can not find the exact information on this issue.

The end date for the token sale is December 31, 2018.
The minimum to start would be $1m U.S.

Wanted to know about your soft, hard, and end of ico as well. I can't find the info on your wp. But I notice about an info that you've do a small funding back in May 2018?

Our soft cap is $15m/hard cap is $20m. The end of the ICO is Dec. 31.

Err... Your softcap is $15M but you can start working by $1M? I thought we were talking about "minimum amount needed to start working" as in soft cap? So you have three caps here? One that you need to be operable, one as a soft cap, and lastly a hard cap?

Nothing tricky about it. We're selling token to accelerate our growth. The question was what is the very minimum we need to raise to build and the answer is $1m. It will be a much longer growth period, obviously. With a $15m soft cap, we can hit the ground running with the ideal acceleration.

Do you accept investment into Blinked from all countries, if no list those countries that are excluded from investing in the project

Residents of the U.S. are prohibited from purchasing token in a public sale and must connect with us to discuss individually to ensure we remain compliant under federal regulation.

Q1) How long after the end of the ICO project plans to listing tokens on the exchanges and on which ones?
We are still determining this.  We recognize that token holders want to be able to trade their tokens and that certain exchanges might end up listing/trading our token independent of any direct request or solicitation from us.

Q2) Is there a function in the smart contract for freezing tokens on adressess that will allow controlling the moment of entry to the exchange in order to avoid uncontrolled sale of tokens on decentralized exchanges and the collapse of the token price.
We're very aware and are strategizing the best way(s) to create stability.  There are multiple options that we're considering.  We strongly believe in the strength of the Blinked project (with an existing product and audience of 13k already who joined while we were in dev) and it’s use case, so we're confident that we'll be able to support the token value through both milestone achievements and strategy.  At the end of the day, performance will be our best hedge again volatility and we have a solid team to support the success of the platform. We're also the only social media platform for recommendations (on anything) that will drive up to 90 percent of advertising revenue to users, so we've got a strong leg to stand on.

Q3) I saw that the distribution of tokens to bounty members is planned only a month after the end of ICO. Why so long ?
The best answer here is directly related to your last question ---> stability.

Q4) Is this decision final and if not, can this time be shortened?
We are open minded in general as our intention is not to hold the fruits of your efforts.  Our main concern and objective is to launch a stable ecosystem to fulfill the long term vision behind Blinked!

The Token sale will end in Q4 - by December 31 or whenever we reach at least our soft cap (whichever comes first).

Although the project was at the beginning stages of an idea in 2016 following a previous business that I exited from, we spent most of 2017 developing the technology and testing it.  We wanted to develop a product that enabled users to recommend absolutely anything in the world including people, places, services, technology, events, etc. in any category and genre. There are no apps or platforms that currently do this. As you can imagine, it took quite a bit of time and resources to develop.  You won't find much press on it, as we existed in dev mode, spending minimal on marketing only to test features and UI. Since developing Blinked, we've won multiple awards including Startupalooza in New York, Boston and Connecticut within the U.S. I've also been a public speaker at various offices including Google, Ebay and Microsoft in NY, discussing all things Blinked. Hope that helps!  As far as our team, we have more than 25+ people either on our core team, investor team or advisory.  I'll take a look thru and see who needs to update their profiles. We're growing so fast!

12  Economy / Economics / How long before banks become obsolete? on: July 07, 2018, 05:19:30 PM
I'm really looking forward to not needing my bank at all. Just the other day, I tried to send that they call a "Quick Pay" to someone. It's a feature they offer that allows you to send money to someone instantly. Except it's not so instantly. As soon as I pressed "submit," I received a message saying it required additional review. On the 4th of July. In person. When banks were closed. So dumb. Today, I had to go into the bank and show two forms of ID and they had to call someone by phone from within the bank who then asked to speak to me. They asked me if I knew the person I was sending the money to. (He is a friend, so yes.) I was like, "no, I don't know the person I'm sending money to, I'm just feeling generous." Then they asked me if I planned on sending money to this person again. At this point, I was like, "listen, I've been banking with you for 30 years, I'm sitting in your branch, the teller has known me for 10 years...do I really need to ask your permission to send someone MY money and do I need to tell if I'm going to send them money again???!! No."

How do you think cryptocurrency will change banks in the short-term and how long before some of them go out of business?
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the price of bitcoin rapidly going down on: July 07, 2018, 05:11:15 PM
Every time there's news about government restrictions on cryptocurrency, the value of Bitcoin coins down. When it climbs back up, more news will come out and push the price down again. This happens over and over again. Cryptocurrency is a threat to governments and financial institutions and there's no other way to control price, than by putting a scare into the general public about it. Soon, they'll grow more comfortable with crypto and will create more control for themselves, and will not need to keep scaring the public about it. That's when the price will become less volatile and settle in.

I couldn't agree more. I bank with one of the largest banking institutions and I cannot wait to not need them anymore. We're almost there. Just the other day, I was trying to send funds to someone using "QuickPay" and received a message saying it required internal review. Not so quick. I've been banking with them for decades. Their system is dumb.

Steemit is great, but what about the ads we see everyday? Like imagine if you're watching the Super Bowl. Who's collecting that advertising revenue?  Millions of dollars for a 15-30 second commercial and every cent goes straight to the network. If the users weren't there watching the game, that would never be possible. Same thing with social media. I think crypto is really going to change the way that happens moving forward.
20  Economy / Economics / What if Zuckerberg paid us a share of FB advertising revenue? on: May 15, 2018, 02:02:03 PM
If you really think about it, all of the social media platforms make money from all of the people who use their platforms. Users dive in thinking they're on the next greatest thing, all while being suckered there so the platforms can earn billions off of them. Mark Zuckerberg, for example, made $41 billion last year from advertising. How would you feel about sharing in that?
