1  Economy / Gambling / Re: 웃웃웃vs웃웃웃 | BittyBID.com - Bitcoin Microlotteries in Seconds | PvP for Gift Cards on: February 18, 2014, 03:20:27 AM
We were having some issues with signups. The cheetahs we attached the verification emails to got lazy and didn't show up for work today. We have remedied the issues and all our verification emails should be arriving on time, as usual.

Sorry for any problems it may have caused.

BittyBID takes the common, lame lottery and kicks it in its lame face.

With pixel-perfect graphics, innovative gameplay, and rock solid cryptography secure enough to make a cougar purr, BittyBID.com pits you against other players for a chance at striking it rich.

1 in 8 chance of winning 700% of your deposit.

How to win $$$:
Each player buys one or multiple bids for a gift-card. Once all bids are taken, we reveal the number our cryptographically hardened randomization algorithm helped generate. The owner of that number is the winner. Booyah.

Play our beta for a chance to win free gift cards!

Why boring gift cards?
Boring? You know what's boring? Your face. Gift cards are damn easy to use, easily accessible, and universally accepted.  BUT, gift cards are just ONE of the prizes available. The available options for win payouts include the 'boring' gift card, a direct BTC payout of the card's $ value, or a BittyBID credit package with a 15% BONUS.

It's hard not to be impressed with those options. Sign up, deposit your coin, try not to buy all the bids, and win your weight in BTC.

BittyBID.com is currently in beta. We're giving every new user who registers 30 mBTC BittyBID credit to test our system with.

4  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Easiest way to setup a Bitcoin-accepting store? on: January 07, 2014, 03:25:12 AM
I know it has been a while, but I think it is a really important question.

There are a few really great options, not all of them are free, but you get what you pay for most of the time.

The easiest one by far is set up a shopify shopping cart and install the bitcoin payment module. Every shopify account can accept bitcoin now. Very easy, but not free. Entry level, you're looking at $30/month.

The cheapest is to get a shared hosting account from somewhere (not godaddy) and set up wordpress, woocommerce, and use the woocommerce-coinbase payment gateway on it. Completely free and there are tons of really great woocommerce templates out there.

Another way is to grab an install of wordpress and write your own bitcoin accepting gateway. There are a few bitcoin resellers that offer really great api's for interacting with bitcoin.

I'm glad to help out and provide additional info, but I'm not down for freelance coding.

Hope that helps someone.

Best,
-bb

5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Told you so, OverStock.com pushed price of Bitcoin over $1000 on: January 07, 2014, 03:12:10 AM
Overstock backing out wouldn't really surprise me, but it would be silly of them to do. Lose credibility with an entire network of potential customers? Nah, they will just wait a year or two to make sure they can't lose money on it.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Coinbase Issues on: January 07, 2014, 03:03:45 AM
I'm using Coinbase and have been for a while. They are generally really good at getting back with issues such as yours.

My suggestion: give it a bit of time. They are really just watching their own ass. There are a lot of minefields to step through with money laundering and the US gov't breathing down their neck to deny access to and report anyone with suspicious activity. (I'm not saying your activity is suspicious, but it looks like they have a hair trigger and will enforce strange rules seemingly on a whim.) Just be a little patient.

Best,
-bb

Thanks,
