1  Other / Off-topic / Re: Never-ending crypto scam insanity on Youtube on: September 26, 2021, 06:15:35 PM
oh really bad mate, agree. Youtube need to react according this and similar cases. 2fa from November will be good as scam block but will that be enough to stop this thiefs, hope. We will see soon.

I want to tell you that implementing 2fa from will not gonna make big difference. Youtube can only take actions after getting report on a content or video. Its not like that they are running promotions through YouTube and YouTube authority is not filtering the promotion. This idiots are just running live from purchase or hacked account to steal peoples money. I don't think anyone can stop you if you start a live and suddenly show people a bitcoin deposit address in your hand.

Actually its all depend on viewers and they are the decision maker here. If they start running after seeing unrealistic earning method then no one can stop them from getting scammed. Yeah its true that YouTube authority can make the way narrower for this type of scammers but that's not gonna be a complete solution. Investors will have to think twice before seeing something like this and reducing the level of greediness is only way here.

3  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-09-11] India's upcoming cryptocurrency law seeks to balance stability and on: September 23, 2021, 04:58:02 PM
Being an Indian resident, I need to say that it is not that simple. First of all, Bitcoin is not 100% legal in India. So if I mention that I received profit from Bitcoin trading in my IT return, then there is a good chance that they will start legal action at some point in the future. And secondly, in order to receive income from abroad (for freelancing), you need special license. This is done in order to limit the IT-related jobs to the bigger companies. Freelancers usually don't have such licenses, and they sometimes face issues due to this. The government also takes away a large chunk in the form of currency conversion charges and other fees. If freelancers receive the salary in the form of BTC, then the government loses all this money.
This is not like this that only India is trying to implement rules about crypto currency payment or investment. If I am not wrong then the list of countries is enough longer and all they are trying to get the best regulatory way. Government have always attention on reducing black money transaction and how to stop illegal transaction. Its been a long time Indian governments is observing their citizens activity with crypto and no doubt that crypto world will get a massive boost if a country make crypto legal who have 1 billion population. Although its not that easy for them when they are continuing their fight against corruption and black money. I don't think Indian government or court will publish early decision about crypto but a large number of people in India have already introduced with bitcoin. Even still you will get a good number of new crypto projects who have Indian citizen on their team and they are working with this for a long time.

Every countries government always give priority to Tax and Indians are not different from here but important thing is that how Indian government open the crypto space for their people with strict control. If they can't control the transaction then you can expect that billions of illegal and black money holders will get a chance to convert their asset.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The difficulty of explaining Bitcoin to people is massive on: September 23, 2021, 04:44:37 PM
Bitcoin was on one of the charts, so when they walked into my room, they asked about it, "You do bitcoin? How does it even work?." So I started explaining it to them, but what they didnt get was that it is decentralized. When I was explaining it they asked "Why doesnt bitcoin's creator give himself a billion bitcoin?" I told them that it is impossible for the creator to do so since he doesnt have control over the network, but after I said that, they told me that I was wrong and that since He made it, he can control it, which is incorrect. Do you guys have any suggestions on how to explain coins to non-crypto people?
Its little bit hard to explain them about bitcoin who have are completely new in this world. Basically people think that someone have full control over bitcoin and they are manipulating its price. I have faced similar situation like you and most interesting thing is that which people were not ready to accept bitcoin as a safest payment or investment option now they are starting to believe on it. From my personal opinion I can suggest you to share some online based bitcoin and blockchain network related information with your family persons or relatives rather than explaining everything from your end at the very first time. All they need to realise that bitcoin is decentralised and its community have its control.

Before making investment on anything people want to know about investment fund safety and security. Its pretty much same in your case where your relatives are actually disagree with you in this matter. You can tell them about bitcoin transaction privacy and safety which is gonna make economic revolution in the upcoming days. Yeah few years back it was really tough to spread knowledge about crypto currency but now its much easier than past because worldwide people are introducing with this day by day. Hopefully there will be a time when you don't need to explain what is bitcoin and that day isn't too far.

7  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is www.iexwls.com scam?? on: September 02, 2021, 05:09:04 PM
This is the first time I am hearing about this exchange and no way to deny that a 57 days old domain holding platform is trusted. Even they have no license or team information on their website. I don't know actually how did you find them and invested there. Already multiple members have advised you to keep distance and withdraw your invested fund if possible (Not sure that they will give it to you after your ID submission). If you think that your privacy is important than your invested fund then I don't see any logic to open a topic like this. No one can give you guaranty about your personal information safety where a platform is running without license. Decision is yours to submit your personal information or not.

If you have already submitted your ID there for the withdrawal enable process then don't forget to give your update about withdrawal confirmation here.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spain bans betting adds - no celebrities, no sport sponsorship, no daytime adds on: September 02, 2021, 04:53:51 PM
Maybe it could be the right choice to reduce the young gamblers there who still can't control themselves well, every prohibition and permit of course has its own reasons. But I believe the ban will not have a bad impact on the gambling business itself, because we know gambling is prohibited or not people will still gamble in their own way. So in this case it is about the team concerned because with the lack of sponsors, then of course it will have an impact on revenue which may be stagnant.
You can't stop gamblers from continuing their activity where a big number of gamblers have already took this as their profession. Yeah its true that no parents wants to introduce their children with gambling platforms and specially when its advertisements showing on football matches or in favourite player's jersey then its difficult to keep them away. Gambling platforms prefer to sponsor football clubs due to peoples attraction about any specific club or player. This is why recent days we are seeing competition between multiple betting platforms and their sponsor agents to complete partnership with football clubs.

Sponsoring football clubs and using betting platforms logo on players Jersey is the most effective promotional option for platform owners. Actually in one side its giving a large amount of audience and on the other side platform users do not hesitate to play with big amount when a platform is the sole sponsor of a popular football club. Even betting platform can easily put some terms on their sponsorship deal by which they can easily use clubs players for their OVC, TVC or Static promotional posts in social media. Spanish government have already taken their decision about betting adds and betting platforms will have to follow that but they will definitely find multiple potential options for their business. When anyone see betting platforms logo on players jersey i can say that viewers start to connect relationship between sports and betting but that not should be. Betting and sports is completely different from each other but if both blends together through advertising activity then definitely more or less people will start to lose their interest on sport and transparency.

Maybe others have different opinion but I think sports and associate organisation should keep little distance from anything where there is possibility of losing reputation. Yeah obviously sponsor money is a big thing for every club but it doesn't mean that football clubs will not get sponsors from other fields.
9  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betflip.io on: September 02, 2021, 03:47:55 PM
OP, I will suggest you to follow this thread and learn how to create a proper scam accusation against scammers/platform.

Proper scam report format, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=260073.0

Here is their domain information

Code:
Domain: betflip.io
Registrar: NameCheap, Inc
Registered On: 2019-05-02
Expires On: 2022-05-02
Updated On: 2021-04-02

Include all your evidence by following the scam report format from above link and edit your current topic.

Was there a reason to choose unknown bookmaker ?
New betting platform usually offer bonuses to attract new customers and this is the reason people like OP run after them. Maybe everyone is not clever like you and donot have sufficient knowledge about honest platforms. Suddenly they see lucrative promotions or get referral links from strangers and make their decision to register there.

Why some people goes to unknown sites after that they come here complaining?
In most cases victims come to share their story after getting scammed and they think that its the place where they will get their solution or someone will help him get his money back. Even few victims are already in Bitcointalk but take decision by their own without justifying properly. They just follow new platforms announcement and run after free bonus. There is no other reason IMO.
10  Economy / Reputation / Re: bounty manager, Become a bounty hunter?? on: September 02, 2021, 07:13:08 AM
If it doesn't matter, then I keep my mouth shut. But what if I find out that he is cunning like reducing the allocation of bounty prizes, holding valuable bounty coins for his personal pocket and vice versa.
I think i got your point exactly. You are trying to say that manager have joined the bounty with his own multiple account and distributing the bounty reward unfairly. Obviously he is not doing the right thing and its not acceptable.

Quote
what do you think about this case?
We have seen similar cases in the past where manager have stolen participants fund or used multiple self generated account to keep big number of tokens in his hand. Even their fraudulent activity were detected by team during final spreadsheet checkup.

It will be better to explain properly with related evidences rather then pointing anything indirectly.

Edit: you may forgot to check this manager's trust page before creating this topic.

11  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 20 BTC stuck with BASEFEX.COM [POTENTIAL SCAM - WARNING - BEWARE] on: September 02, 2021, 06:53:31 AM
::update::

so today I decided to give it another try and attempt another withdrawal, and lo and behold, email system is back(!), and my email accounts even showed me countless delivered codes from each and every withdrawal attempt, so maybe there was actually some infrastructure disruption, maybe part of klaus schwab's cyber polygon, who knows.
You have mentioned their forum profile link on your main topic. I don't know actually you hav already given them PM or not. If you haven't done that yet then i will suggest you to visit their profile and send a PM including your thread link. Waiting for their explanation is nothing wrong here IMO.

anyways, I tried to do one withdrawal again, and the process worked like on other platforms, no bells and whistles, even got email confirmation that a withdrawal to specified address is being processed. so I am currently waiting for the predicted 24h period to pass, to see if any excuses or technical nuisances will get thrown my way.
If their email confirmation code is working again then you can wait little longer for the final transaction report. Although i am not wishing anything bad for your fund but expectation is positive.

Lets wait for the transaction deadline and after that if they show no wish to release your withdrawal only then you can open flag against them from your end. Hope you got my point.

Note: We can't call anyone scammer without having proper evidences.

12  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Fake] DOGE team is creating a new P2P-PLATFORM on: September 01, 2021, 05:04:23 PM
I'm surprised at the number of their subscribers over 52k subscribers, they are not selling Dogecoin but their own token SafeDogecoin but it's very suspicious because they claim they are part of the Dogecoin team, if they are then why are there no team profile on their webpage added to my suspicious is they don't have a telegram group for investors to ask about their queries.
You don't need to believe on anything like this when Elon is alive. I can say that you will get Elon's tweet before any press release if its about DOGE. Its better to check Elon's twitter bio rather then running after this type of website.

I think they are hiding something and only scammers will hide their identity and will not allow a group chat.
Hiding identity is one of the most common activity of scammers and its nothing new.

14  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lunaland scammed huntters payment 1,500,000 LLN ($79,402.50 current price) on: August 31, 2021, 05:14:32 PM
There are no point asking them about it. I have watched the AMA last night, I had to fast-forward it all the time. All I was able to see that there was only one user who talked about Lunaland has cheated with the hunters.
Personally I will suggest you not to take this type of project who have no trust on your service and fear to keep their bounty rewards (Token) on your hand. If they are hiring you as their bounty manager then obviously they should give you the freedom of keeping participants rewards. Sorry to say that its not only like that by doing this they are just losing their own reputation but also its gonna put affect on your service reputation too.

I can share one short story from my side where one of our forum bounty manager stole bounty rewards and didn't distributed properly. In that case I have contacted with the team and took step to start the distribution. They told me that they stopped their distribution after checking the final spreadsheet. Its because manager have added multiple account of his own and that was detected by them. After a long conversation with them they agreed to distribute the rest of the tokens and distribution was completed under multiple forum members surveillance. specially I wanna give thanks to all my forum mates who helped me that time to start the distribution process. After few weeks team distributed their tokens and I have withdrawn accusation against team.

But your one is different story and your suggestion for other managers is also accepted by me. More or less it is bounty managers responsibility to maintain proper rewards distribution by keeping the amount of rewards in advance or safe hand.

I will take a look on this project again and hope they will try to get listed on some popular exchanges. I will try my best to notify multiple exchanges who have worked with me and working currently. Hopefully they will reject their listing application after knowing that this project haven't distributed their bounty tokens yet. Lets see where the apply and when.

Do not hesitate to give me PM if you need further assistance from my end.
15  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ads auction rules on: August 31, 2021, 04:39:55 PM
It seems somehow logical to me that if theymos doesn't allow someone to advertise via banners (like in this case 1xbit), that their signature campaign gets banned too.
Theymos rejects much more than just known scams:
No ICOs[1], loggable mixers[2], banks, funds, or anything that a person can be said to "invest" in
I think its enough clear indication from Theymos and he is not rejecting proven scam projects only but also filtering deeply.

16  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit scamming people, take your win, never give you money! Video/pictures proof on: August 31, 2021, 04:29:32 PM
Hello, I want to tell you my problem in 1xbit website, where it is total fraud of betting company, and never put a single crypts money there, because you will lose only your money there.
Take care of that website, because if you win some money, they will took all your winnings.

You got your realisation after completing 3 step.

  • Trust
  • Register
  • Place your bet

Sorry to say that they are popular not for their honest service but for their fraudulent activity. Before getting register there it was necessary for you to research little bit about their reputation and real service but you missed the first step somehow like other victims.

Anyway, I will suggest you to edit your topic and follow this sections pin post where you will get proper scam report format. Include all the evidences that you have against them. Although there is large number of accusation already against this platform and your one is going to get another place on that list.
17  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake elon musk 5000 btc giveaway on: August 31, 2021, 07:03:38 AM
This fake Elon Musk giveaway scheme has been going on for over a year now, Elon has become the face of scam giveaways, this is because he is popular he is very much involved in Cryptocurrency and he happens to be one of the richest guys on Earth.
You can't stop scammers from doing this type of activity. Its because they are always after newbies and most interesting thing is that a large number of crypto users are now Elon's regular follower. There was a time when market was full with Mcafee related scam giveaways but it stooped with his death news. You have to go with this trend that scammers will continuously use popular and established business person's name on their projects to attract newbies because they know its the easiest way to mislead people.

Elon is regularly sharing his tweets about crypto and specially about doge. Due to this reason scammers also using his name on their project on a regular basis. No one can stop them from doing this even Elon himself can't. key factor is investors here. They will have to take proper decission before going after garbage like this. I am expecting very soon Elon will make announcement about his own crypto currency and until that day people's thrust about Elon's own crypto currency will not gonna end.

Newbies are always the victim, victims will just check on Google who is Elon Musk and if they see Elon Musk reputation and his involvement in Cryptocurrency they will give in right away without digging deep if there is such a thing as Elon Musk give away and if this kind of scheme is legit.
I don't think all newbies are same. I have seen so many new crypto users who made their entry on crypto universe with proper knowledge and they are well notified about crypto scams. You can tell that who are greedy they are running after Ponzi, Doubler and free giveaways. Its always happening due to their thrust of easy earning. Sometime I feel really glad when I see informative posts from our forum newbies and they are really talented. We all have to just help and guide them by providing necessary informations.
18  Other / Off-topic / Re: How well do you know Turkish teams??? on: August 29, 2021, 04:56:29 PM
I actually support the Fenerbahce team. Galatasaray is the only team that has achieved the most serious success in Europe. they were really playing with team spirit that year. The Gheorghe Hagi factor was definitely important at that time. It was one of the most important values of football at that time.
A game based on football tactics and team condition. But I think the biggest factor is the spirit. The biggest problem of Turkish teams is that they play soulless.
Galatasaray have passed golden time during their first UEFA CUP winning in 2000 but after that in last 21 years world football moved to another level. Specially if you want to compare Turkish clubs with Spanish and English league clubs then I will say that Turkish clubs will have to develop a lot of things to compete. Team spirit may make little difference but not all the time. From my own experience I can say that Atletico Madrid's last few years performance shown us that good team doesn't mean they have popular faces where team combination is key feature of delivering good performance.

Still I can remember some matches between Barca and Atletico where they compete much better than any other team. Day by day they developed their team players partnership and in result they surprised worldwide Barca & Real Madrid's fans. In my opinion if some players play as a team for a long time then they can read each other well in battlefield. I can mention two name from Barca squad Xavi & Iniesta. They played together for a long time and they were the middle field controller for team Barca.

Someone have mentioned that Turkish team are under big amount of debt and yeah obviously its a big reason that they are not getting big names on their team squad.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google bans 8 crypto apps on: August 29, 2021, 10:36:19 AM
This is not the first time I have heard that Google banned some mining apps on playstore, they should not think twice before they ban those apps because how can bitcoin be mined on phone, it is complete no possible. While most of them are cloud mining apps which is a way to scam people.

But I am still wondering why CryptoTab has not be banned when it is among them
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pro.cryptotab.android
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lite.cryptotab.android

All cloud mining apps are fake, they should all be banned.
If you think that they are doing same like all recently banned apps then submit a report against this app and mentioned the exact reason during your submission. I am gonna take a look from my end soon and if I found similarities like all 8 banned apps then definitely they will get a report from my side.

Visit this link to know all details about flagging a APP; Report content issues or violations
20  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] CryptoSwapper.net is a clone of UltraMixer.net [connected or a rip-off] on: August 29, 2021, 10:24:22 AM
Oh yeah here is one thread where we discussed about ultra mixer in 2019.

    Tagged and "created a flag".

Yeah I can remember the incident where one of their user sent BTC to this platform but didn't get that. @ years earlier we have dusccused about ultra mixer on a scam accusation. More or less it seems to me that both project have a connection between them and you dig it exactly. No doubt that they have copied a good amount of content from ultra mixer but who can say they are not running by the same owner.

    Flag Supported from my end.
