everything is working fine?

We need to get on PayPal like DogeCoin Wink That would be a huge thing! But I think it`s too early Roll Eyes

paypal announced that they would be working with coinbase and bitpay. it might be easier to try to get listed with a company that is in the process of contracting with paypal, instead of trying to convince paypal itself..... just a thought. i know that it is a crapload more complicated than that. but depending on the way it is going to be organized... it is possible.... not very likely.... but a possible route.

Marketplace

Currently doing final brainstorming on how to leverage the Marketplace to further demand in NOBL and increase price (offering services in exchange for NOBL). We're thinking of accepting other coins on the marketplace for a fee and allowing them to fund their own promotions. Any loss in our 15% competitiveness (if other coins offer them for a timeframe of a month or two) is made up by us charging NOBL for the listings/promotions and building stronger relationships/contacts between coins.

For example, say *coin wanted to be accepted on the marketplace and promote their coin @ a 20% discount for two months. They can fund permanent listing on our marketplace and then as an extra fund their own promotion for 2 months. Profits from these arrangements will be used to market buy NOBL and take them off market as well as fund extra development. It's also a direct way of improving relationships and exposure for our marketplace, NOBL & other coins.

Looking for feedback and suggestions, preferably constructive. Coins are paying huge amounts to be listed on brand eCommerce sites so they can have real-world use and/or trying their best to build their own marketplaces. Why not get involved and sell our current offerings for NOBL and become a brand eCommerce site ourself? If we leverage the deals/services right we can work with lots of coins to look more appealing than fiat and improve NOBL demand/price at the same time.

Interesting idea - supported.

Actually it's past time that people realize the current 'marketplace' hypes that some altcoins try to use have already been legitimately implemented by Noblecoin since its inception.

This will be a good way to offer crypto currency a marketplace at very affordable rates, with significant benefits and solid, long standing structure that is already built and proven.

Supporting the idea as well.

Support from me too!
I noticed that platinum coins were for sale on marketplace. Does that mean that you have licence and gold soon??

i hope so...

if Noble becomes a direct avenue for gold, silver, and platinum... that can't hurt.

just think.... being able to trade without having to convert into any other currency.

NOBLECOIN: STAYING WITH NOBL THROUGH THE GOOD BAD AND THE UGLY

August 22, 2014

INTRODUCING NOBLECOIN

NobleCoin has now been adopted by over 50 merchants and services. They have offered up to 18% discounts on Amazon, Newegg, and steam gift cards. They’ve even raised tens of thousands of dollars for various philanthropy organizations such as the Water Project. NobleCoin has a great Dev, by the name of Rofo, who by all accounts is one of the most trustworthy devs the crypto-community has to offer. So why is the price so low, and why should you invest?

I hope this 'quiet' is temporary!!! really do

we have never been accused of being the most vocal group of people. personally i think that being as reserved as much as we are, has become more of  a detriment than being beneficial.

That is because As a whole we are more mature community compared to most coins.

Exactly. It's a good thing in a way, but I agree that it is a negative thing at the moment.

The problem is that we have nothing to talk about. Well I know I don't anyway...

Spot on, I didn't even want to post this as it adds nothing. Wink

it's just a little aggravating, that the children that do nothing more than jump up and down screaming LOOK AT ME!! garner more attention than a level headed community of people.

Will the new PoS update cut back on the subsidy and max coin supply?  5 billion is a bit too much.

personally i still like the idea of it being around 15 billion. their needs to be enough liquidity to facilitate day to day purchases. 21 million is not enough. that and there is currently around $60 trillion in existence on the planet. you can't replace that with a total supply of 21 million. each bitcoin would have to be worth around $ 2.8 million. now add bitcoin transfer fees in at that rate, you could be paying up to $2800 just to move your money. now if we do the same thing to Noble, with 15 billion, it comes to an easy $4000. if we also compare the fees at that rate as well it comes to $4 to move your money.

now i know that the possibility of this is practically nil, but in the intrest of keeping it simple, i just used the entire cash supply of the planet ( a direct global conversion to bitcoin), and i know that i'm not including all of the debt, and this, that, and the other thing, etc... just cash.

can you see how much of a pain in the as that is? paying $4 to buy a $1 pack of gum, for a total of $5 dollars. try doing that when it costs $2,800 to buy that $1 pack of gum, for a total of $2,801 Grin.

the total amount should probably be around 60 billion, if that is the standard. but then you would need to convert all of the debt and everything. but the exchange must always cost less than the item being exchanged.

Unbelievable, I didn't really care about anonymous until now.

people will find a way to make the best out of the regulations. I think it´s a step in the correct direction.
Exchanges, etc will get more professional and secure. The whole currency thing can grow up now.
Bitcoin & Co will find their way.

Did you even read those regulations?

the only thing those regs are going to is to drive digital currency underground.

i just hit my 1 millionth Noble!!!!!! Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy Grin Cheesy

Interesting video to listen to, it really makes you appreciate all the work that everyone has put into NobleCoin and the honesty and integrity of the NOBL community.

to be honest, i saw the video then posted the link before i watched it. i thought it was going to be similar to the other noblecoin videos.

it was not what i was expecting.

WTF ! PoS !?

"The (not so) Noble Bank of Rofo."

Hmm.. massive premine..  easymined the crap out of something... eliminated PoW ..

Where have we seen this before ?

AND.. WTF do I have to do to find a legit coin !?? Huh

6 months of mining at the same block reward. Premine addresses transparent. I'll be giving the majority away in giveaways after PoS and for future development as I have for 6 months - I don't want this cursed premine. PoW is going because we're getting 51% and forced on low profitability for months.

For how long do we need to provide full transparency, personal details, a 6 month record, and remind everyone of the opportunity to make hundreds of thousands of dollars scamming this scene which we didn't take before you're happy.

Edit: Regarding PoW versus PoS, I have spent months being open about the realities, pros & cons of both regarding distribution, security, longterm issues & how they are used to take advantage of the scene. I don't make outright misleading comments like PoS coins are immune to 51% or PoS multipools ensure indefinite price rises. I've been against PoS but am coming around and will have to put more energy into ironing out and cleaning up PoS criticism when it comes. But the damage PoW is doing to this scene and us demands action, so we have to take it. If you can find someone more open and realistic about the 'issues' of all these altcoins besides intelligent BTC purists and 'old guard' developers who deserve more respect than they receive please point them out. They exist, but I'm personally getting tired of being labelled with these scam coins.

Also, we're going to be PoS/PoW so you can still mine. This lets us cover both angles: saving/distribution, miners/investment, while combating a cheap influx of coins & ensuring the best of both worlds in security. Keep in mind we're putting security of the blockchain first. Presstab is well-versed in the issues and coding required to combat vulnerabilitie and the %'s/#'s to encourage security while protecting price as best we can.
would you mind be more elaborate about PoS/PoW? i mean i have no question about PoS..however,i wish to know about PoW part..will it  be a short term or long term PoW?

we have been POW for over 6 months, moving over to POS as a result of near constant attack and dumping

It's time for Alts to clean up and be professional...   Smiley

(posted in several forums)

Noble already has one of the most professional developer teams in the industry, as well as one of the most professional communities ( not having page after page of " TO DA MOOOOON!!!"). Along with a growing infrastructure, and consumer base.

and as far as cleaning up..... not many people refer to Noble as a scam. we are the most transparent and open crypto currencies on the net. which is something investors like.

All this talk about using an exchange to switch coins is confusing me  Huh

I probably shouldn't have brought up the subject in my previous post. I was just stating a personal preference based on how past coins did swapovers and such. If it's just a hard fork and all goes to plan, it would unlikely be needed.

Seems I accidentally spread confusing info just by posting a preference. Now I see how easy it is for evil people to spread fud, which of course wasn't my intention here. Sorry for any confusion.
