Has anyone built up a firmare for the s1 with the cgminer fix added, and one for the s2 also.  Would b nice for that fix to insure our hash goes to the right accounts on the pools. Cry

Sorry, but where did you find this information? If this info true, then what about upgrade for "usual" S3s, without "+"?..

Upgrade should also work on S3 as the difference is on the board you will be replacing with new ones.

Just curiosity, what are your views about bitcoin and altcoins?

I think it is awesome, it has saved us hundreds in fees when transferring money.
I started by hiring equipment to mine for me at mbigas.com but now I have a couple of my own miners.

im starting to suspect hashnest and their promotion of a scam. 2 days and i havent recieved any free hashes . im starting to suspect its just a way to manipulate people into checking their site out since one of hasnest demands is to make a account there. is hashnest starting business with a scam right in bitmains thread? i havent recieved nothing and if you look around theres more people complaining about the same thing. bitmain can you clarify this issue please? is there anyone who got hashes from hashnest ? come forward and speak .

I'm not sure it's a scam.  But it's certainly not a good idea to "invest" into.  It'd be the same as me telling folks to sent me 1.6 BTC, and over the course of the next year and I'll slowly send most, but not all, of it back to you.

I really do not see the logic/benefit in providing that service, are we missing something?
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcement: Bitmain launches AntMiner solution, 0.68 J/GH on chip on: July 23, 2014, 02:49:00 AM
Any info on why?
I'm guessing a couple of customs agents were bribed into slowing things down by one of the other competitors Grin

Maybe because it says "BITCOIN MINER" literally in capital letters on the outside of the box.......

What the hell where they thinking?HuhHuhHuh??
11  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 22, 2014, 03:43:34 AM
Has anyone run a network sniffer on these things while they are running. There is a lot more network noise than the S1's made. I am not talking about share request/response, I am talking about calls to hosts and socket connection responses(causing extra beep sounds), kind of like a bot.

I have the gift of always thinking the worst of people. Would it be possible a % of the hash power is utilized/reserved for an internal process named "4bitmainpool"?

Maybe its some debug/diagnose thing they forgot to take out?

I first used Fiddler to sniff but setting up a Unix VM for better tools now.

Imagine, what if they could take 2-4% hash power from every S3 miner on-line.............

When i think of on-demand mining i think of a service like mining.mbigas.com or is that a different type of service?

15  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Antminer S1 - 21 in stock and ready to ship on: June 07, 2014, 06:18:56 AM
are these new sealed from bitmain?  or as they call it in this game are they "tested"?
16  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AntMiner S2 1TH/s Kit Sales Open, official sales price $2260 per Kit on: June 03, 2014, 05:16:17 AM
I think they offer this kit only for the buyer that is in rush to purchase. After their holidays something else
will be announced just like the S1 that went out of stock and later on after 10 days if am not mistaken
on sale again....
In companies like bitmain the income clock must turn fast as a fan not its only like a clock and this is not
good as its increasing the temperature....

is this a riddle?

Hello friends !!!!!
I have to tell your my little story i wanted to buy 2 Antminer S2 and found another good deal and cancel the 2 orders.
The orders are canceled but the coupons not return to my account.
I send an mail to bitmain and get a response 3 days later
From 16.5.2014 until today 19.5.2014 i'm trying to get my coupons back , first they told me to make an order and put the order ID in the comment .

WTF I ONLY WANT THAT COUPON BACK TO MY ACCOUNT !!!!!!!
Then i got an reply from them that there is no technician now so they cant refund , they need to wait for technician to make this refund.
Company like Bitmain don't have a technician Huh Strange !!!!!
Finally today they refund me with 1 coupon of 2 , so bad service i don't know why they treat to they costumers like this !!!!!
I still wait for 1 coupon back to my account , I never

I glade that i don't buy from company like this !!!!!

It seems you are asking for the coupon so you can sell or trade since you passed up the offer to just make an order and underpay the coupon amount. The intension of the coupon was not to make you money, it is intended to save you money on your next purchase. But of course in your world the customer is always right, never mind that someone is trying to run a profitable business and that you are trying to exploit a savings they where trying to provide you. Just give you yours right?

Here is an excellent quote from dropt earlier on this thread that will allow you to understand and move on with your life...

"From my time in Bitcoin and ASIC land what I understand is that Chinese business does not care for Western concepts.  In China the customer is not always right, and in reality they (customer) could by all accounts go eff' themselves.  The idea of hand-holding and end-user support is not something that exists in Chinese business models."

I have 10 S2 would like to trade for S1 .15 coupons.

I can also point my miners to your pool for a determined time as trade. I have 1.8 TH/s of hashing power available.
