  • Windows version
  • Driver version and where you obtained it
  • Video card bios version

Thanks, I'd appreciate it.

Windows 10
Driver version in 17.4.4, obtained directly from AMD. I've tried a few other versions too, but I forget them all.
BIOS version is the latest from MSI 015.050.000.000 (the card came installed with this BIOS - I've not changed it)

Forgot to ask which version of sgminer you're using (if you're not using 5.6.1 from https://github.com/nicehash/sgminer/releases, give it a try. If you are, try the previous version).

I was using 4.1.0, linked in the OP. I've tried 5.6.1 now, same issue though unfortunately.

Well, just realized i've been a moron.  Was running SG miner instead of CC miner on wyvern, just over doubled my hashrate in seconds :/  too bad I'd been mining for over a week.

I presume an nvidia card?

I've been trying and failed to mine with sgminer on an AMD RX 480 8G. The PC reboots a second after I start sgminer.exe.

Anyone care to share their .conf?

Here's mine, although I've tried all sorts with the intensity, worksize, gpu-threads, etc...

Code:
"intensity" : "18",
"worksize" : "64",
"kernel" : "nist5",
"lookup-gap" : "2",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192",
"shaders" : "2560",
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"gpu-engine" : "1000-1000",
"gpu-fan" : "30-80",
"gpu-memclock" : "650",
"gpu-memdiff" : "0",
"gpu-powertune" : "0",
"gpu-vddc" : "0.000",
"temp-cutoff" : "95",
"temp-overheat" : "85",
"temp-target" : "75",
"api-mcast-port" : "4028",
"api-port" : "4028",
"expiry" : "28",
"failover-switch-delay" : "60",
"gpu-dyninterval" : "7",
"gpu-platform" : "0",
"log" : "5",
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"queue" : "1",
"scan-time" : "7",
"tcp-keepalive" : "30",
"temp-hysteresis" : "3",
"shares" : "0",
"kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin"
}

Generally, instant-reboot stability issues can be tracked down to either bad PSU or card. Have you ruled out a BSOD by turning off Automatically Restart on System Failure under Startup and Recovery options?

I should have specified actually, it is a BSOD. Error message system_service_exception and it references atikmdag.sys

I've reinstalled drivers and searched the web for answers. None of what I have found helps.

I don't think it's drivers as I can mine other coins OK, just not this nist5. My conf looks OK?

How does this differ in terms of being untraceable ? is it a scrambler or mixer or whatever ?

Some info here:

Plenty info out there. Just google it.

Make leveldb in the source directory, don't install the package. See https://github.com/protinam/wyvern-docker/blob/master/Dockerfile for an example (line 13).

Worked a treat. Thanks

I'm having trouble building the wallet on Ubuntu 16 and Debian 8. Both give the same errors.

On fresh installs of both OS's, I followed instructions here:
https://github.com/nukeling/Wyvern/blob/master/doc/readme-qt.rst

Dependencies installed, as it says in those instructions. Then run qmake and make.

I get error:
Code:
src/net.cpp:19:32: fatal error: miniupnpc/miniwget.h: No such file or directory

So I installed libminiupnpc-dev which has this file and run make again.

Then I get:
Code:
g++: error: /home/crypto/Documents/Wyvern/src/leveldb/libleveldb.a: No such file or directory
g++: error: /home/crypto/Documents/Wyvern/src/leveldb/libmemenv.a: No such file or directory

I installed libleveldb-dev which has both these files, but after running make I get that last error again.
I copied the two files in the last error from their installed location to the specified locations in the error, then after running make I get:
Code:
/home/crypto/Documents/Wyvern/src/leveldb/libleveldb.a(format.o): In function `leveldb::ReadBlock(leveldb::RandomAccessFile*, leveldb::ReadOptions const&, leveldb::BlockHandle const&, leveldb::BlockContents*)':
(.text+0x570): undefined reference to `snappy::RawUncompress(char const*, unsigned long, char*)'
collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
Makefile:454: recipe for target 'wyvern-qt' failed
make: *** [wyvern-qt] Error 1

Any advice folks?
Thanks

Guys you can't sync and haven't able to do so for months now. Deposits are all Frozen. Please stop bumping this thread. Let the coin die.

RIP bitcedi

I can sync. My deposits have matured with the expected interest, and I can make new deposits.

Maybe you are just doing it wrong  Roll Eyes
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MonetaryUnit [MUE] Quark based, CPU mining, faucet, explorer, pool, wallet on: April 05, 2017, 09:42:53 AM
Hy MUE community,
What is special on this coin ?
Is it worth to invest in this coin - when yes, why ?

Hello,

I believe the questions are worth answering if we want MUE to go up  sooner or later but I will leave the answers to some more experienced users here. ;-)

BUT...

why not watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwPw0xn2qHI&feature=youtu.be

Cheers!

The video says other cryptos are less reliable than MUE. What is it about MUE that makes it more reliable than the rest??

Hey folks. This looks like a really interesting project. I'm keen to see where it goes.

I've got a couple of questions:

1. There will be or are 1,000,000,000,000,000 bytes, so that's 1,000,000 GBYTES, correct?
2. Are blackbytes traded anywhere? What will be the coin supply of blackbytes?
3. Do I need to link a Bitcoin address for the next distribution round, if I have already linked that address for the last round?

TIA.

...for certain by now have traded through many hands you still think that long ago instamine is even remotely relevant?

Have you not seen this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wYoqjN2e-NY&feature=youtu.be

Of course it's relevant. Evan has not traded his coins through many hands - Evan himself confirms this.

http://Pool.bitcedi.org works at least.

More seednodes coming up in few days.

If you are bringing up nodes I presume you plan some development. Are there plans for this Bitcedi?

What are the plans for a GUI? Will we see Monero's GUI wrapped in Aeon blue any time soon, or is the focus on the other work? (i.e. tx mixins, pruning, kovri, etc)
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AEON 2nd gen cryptonote, anon, mobile-friendly, scalable, pruning on: February 08, 2017, 10:52:28 AM
Does anyone know where I could find more information in how to mine Aeon? I would like to start learning what hardware is good for mining this and other information about your experiences would be very welcome.

In the original post you can find a small bit of info on solo mining from within the daemon itself:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=641696.0

These two mining pools provide links to pool mining software:
http://54.153.36.187:8080/#getting_started
http://98.238.231.31:9000/#getting_started

If you DuckDuckGo each of those softwares, you'll find more info on what hardware they are for Wink
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][UBQ] Ubiq - Smart Contracts For An Automated World on: February 04, 2017, 09:54:23 PM
Please show an example of the CLI commands that would send the coins. I try by analogy with ETH, but make a mistake somewhere.

Examples below when connected via CLI:

1. Sending 0.05 UBQ from my 1st account to my 2nd account:
eth.sendTransaction({from: eth.accounts[0], to: eth.accounts[1], value: web3.toWei(0.05, 'ether')})

2. Sending 0.05 UBQ from my 2nd account to some other UBQ address:
eth.sendTransaction({from: eth.accounts[1], to: '0x8659d3c274c29aac6711aeddf9b6fada40f4efa6', value: web3.toWei(0.05, 'ether')})

Edit: you may need to unlock the account, before you enter the above commands:
personal.unlockAccount(eth.accounts[0])
