Anybody experienced something similar?

Yup Sapphire Dual X too.

Does my temp seems normal? Just wondering if I did something wrong..

Sapphire. The model is Dual X. Purchased 14th of january!
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 280x stopped working.. on: February 25, 2014, 02:54:56 AM
I was mining for one week stable at 72-76 celcius, 720 khash per card then one of the card dropped to 300 khash in hash rate. Fan slowed down, and temp crashed too. I decided to reboot.. Same thing.. then suddenly zero in hash rate.

Bamt now doesn't recognize it after a couple of reboots.

Same slot, same powered riser with another 280x and it work wells. So card seems in fault.

Did I fried a card?

If so, what do I say to the retailer in order to get an RMA?

Thanks for the follow up NameTaken! What bios do you use?

Spinx, I am very interested to know if you changed anything beside going with these parameters. And if you mine in Win7 or Linux.

Great news NameTaken. I think I won't throw them away! Wink What makes you made the biggest jump in khash/sec, the new bios or optimized script?

Would you mind tell me what is your bios and your miner settings?

Thanks for clarifying how to do it. I still don't get why tough...  Undecided

Hi all. I've Tried almost every settings in SMOS Linux, can't get past 600 khash/sec average unless I enter intensity over 13, which leaves me with a lot of HW errors.

I tried with tc 8192, 8191, 22272, no change.

Does it haves something to do with the bios?
9  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Powered risers on the same PSU? on: February 10, 2014, 04:21:22 AM
Why does power connection from riser have to be all on the same PSU?

Please guys post your software / OS you use for mining along with the parameters.

Why does the risers molex have to be on the same PSU than the mainboard?

Problems can sometimes arise if you don't.  The mobo draws that power normally without risers, so when you use risers it is suitable to continue that task for the mobo psu.

I just want to make sure since I don't see the logic there.. the risers have to be connected to same PSU than the mobo, but it can be different PSU that the one the GPU are connected? Is it absolutely necessary? What have to be taken care of if you can't?

The only settings that work for me on R9 280X (various brands) are TC 8192 (and NOT 8193, = HW errors), gpu-engine 1000 or 1010, and powertune "20". This works for me both on undervolt and on stock voltage, both Asus and Sapphire cards.

What software are you using? How much khash/sec?

Anyone mine with a mac?

I tried to mine with cgminer CPU only all I got are rejected blocks.

I have 4x Sapphire 100363L r9 280x doing 730 KH/s each on BAMT miner with the voltage modded to 1.050v, I measure the power draw and it was 990 to 1005 watts. Tongue I am using a 1200w PSU

Are you counting only the GPU's? I bet you are, but I only want to make sure. Wink

Many thanks hyperionx. My risers have a molex power cable.

But what do you mean by 'cutting the powered risers'? Can you explain a bit more on that?

Tried. Does not work. Tries to connect but always a disconnect error at the end.

Thanks Lunas. So you think the Sapphire card would draw less than 300w each ?

Desactivate and active the lan. You have the same board ?

Do I have to do this each boot?
