The less money you have, the riskier strategy you need to have and the more likely you'll burn yourself. That's why most people fail sooner or later.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Huge drop happening within 48 hours! (I WAS RIGHT!) on: August 29, 2019, 05:20:58 AM
Hmm, it didn't even go below 9500.

Countries without tax on crypto

Malta
Portugal
Belarus
Panama
Puerto Rico
Singapore (individuals don't pay tax on profits from the crypto trading)
Slovenia (if you have less than 100 tradable days per year)
Germany (if you hold at least 1 year)
Liberland (very pro-bitcoin micro state)
Austria (if you hold at least 1 year)
Denmark is still taxless. It won't STAY that way, getting out while I can.

As a private person, non professional, prfits from monetary metals and BTC are taxfree in Belgium also. Even no need to declare as income.

How are they going to know that you are holding crypto if you do not publicly disclose your addresses? It's only possible if someone is willingly paying their tax and one should do so.

KYC. At some point most people have to get on a gateway to convert fiat to crypto and, at least in the developed countries, those are increasingly requiring stringent identification. Additionally there are some smart people that are already creating tools to track wallet movement and they can use a variety of techniques to tie those to people and groups. Basically, it wouldn't be smart to count on avoiding the taxman.

The taxman is not interested in our crypto holdings, because they are not taxable. That is why we do not need to declare anything. The legal concept is that we buy gold or crypto with already income taxed fiat.

But once you sell it for fiat, they are interested to tax your profit. At least in my country.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would this finally be a real Satoshi? on: August 22, 2019, 09:40:15 AM
He didn't provide any proof of himself being Satoshi. Every discrepancy (i.e. date of birth) or his link to bitcoin he tries to explain with numerology. It's a joke.

Dear Bitcoin,

Please stop acting like a bullshit.
When I put you to bed last night you were above 10,000.
I needed you to stay there as I made the decision not to convert you to cash that I need for today.
Then you fell out of the crib, and its gonna cost me about a thousand pesos that I could have really used.
If you could once again go above 10k in the next couple hours that would be just great.
Thanks,

Bye.
I am forwarding this heartly felted letter to bitcoin GOD (Satoshi). Smiley

Well, I think Satoshi can only sell, so better let him sleep.  Grin

Nothing spectacular.

Haha, the Pirate was a cool story indeed. I canít remember the return but receiving the collateral back in time must have felt good afterwards.

Yeah, made a very nice profit there. As far as I remember it was like 6% a week.

Nothing spectacular. At one point I had almost 200 coins, but was selling/trading as it went up over the years. I was also scammed by a few coins during the wild west of bitcoin investing, but dodged a lot of bullets too (i.e. took out my investments before PirateAt40 ran with all the investors money). I have only around 30 left now but thanks to bitcoin I bought a land and build my house without having to pay the mortgage.
My total investment into bitcoin was roughly around 1500 EUR, some coins I bought at 4 EUR a piece. I stopped buying when it went above 30 EUR as that seemed to me as too expensive at that time (first big crash in bitcoin was from around 32 USD top). Since then I'm trading and have some invested in casinos house bankrolls. I still have a normal day job even if the income from trading/investing would cover my expenses, but bitcoin is too unpredictable.  Cool

Those who don't have Bitcoin in any real amount, think about SEX.

Those who have bitcoin have no need to think about bitcoin. So they have sex.

Sex is for children, adults bitcoin.  Cool

It's very possible he lost the keys as those bitcoins were not moved for some time. Or he might be dead.

It's in line with late Dow Jones increase. We'll yet to see how Bitcoin copes with global economy recession.

16  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin IS in a bubble on: December 08, 2018, 05:57:24 AM
Yet another worst scenario of the year for BTC, the market was okay till it went to $5k but crypto has changed its intention this time and want to give a scare for everyone who have Invested in this. Being strong still and have faith in BTC.

Lol. Detractors are having the time of their lives now saying "i told you so" 😆 the decline was sudden and steep and i don't think many were expecting it. The bubble popped, but i'm waiting for it to be inflated again.

you can't call this a "bubble pop" and then also claim that "nobody was expecting it" and also "was sudden and steep". these two prove that it was manipulation not a natural drop. when majority of investors don't expect a drop, they buy and that was the consensus above $6k, everyone was accumulating then the dumps came out of nowhere.
hence my point of this being an inverse bubble or you can call it an "artificial low"

6k was nice example of a bull trap. Be prepared that your so called "inverse bubble" can continue for years. I still can't see any signs of recovery. There's major support at 3k now, but what will happen when we go close to it? There's probably a mine field of stop loss orders which can trigger another downwards explosion like we saw at 6k.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin IS in a bubble on: December 01, 2018, 05:51:52 AM
But, where are the buyers? At 6000$ the volume was ridiculously low, no one was buying, so it crashed. Now we have much better trade volumes at 4000$, but how long will it last till people who think this is cheap will stop buying and wait for price to rise or decline again. These are not the people who will push the price up. Once this money dries up, we're going back to low volumes and possible decline again. Next halving is still far away. Bitcoin needs some positive news to reverse this trend and may easily go down with some negatives.
I think 4000$ is still great for bitcoin, In Jan 2017 it was less then 1000$, when I was buying my stash it was less then 2$. Some people are still clouded by the last year's hype.
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will BTC 'Mean Reversion' be in 2019? My prediction is $1400 USD on: November 29, 2018, 04:52:55 PM
Yeah, I don't really see new money comming in in near future. People who sold earlier are buying back now, but that's not enough to change the downward trend. It will start sinking again soon, I'm afraid.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your predictions for 2019 on: November 23, 2018, 06:35:21 AM
My guess is the market goes mostly sideways in 2019. Technology improvement does not affect bitcoin anymore. It has chosen the path to be a store of value (like gold) rather than currency and there's not much to improve there. After this last bubble and crash is over, I see more stable future for bitcoin with slow rise in 2020 and onwards.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Causes Bitcoin & Other Crypto Currency Massive Sell Off's? on: November 23, 2018, 06:25:51 AM
Volume of trades went down continuosly before the crash. Price looked unusually stable, but it was just a matter of time before it all crashed. There are simply no buyers, interest in bitcoin went down, plus different other things like bcash war and panic has accelerated the fall.
