1) Register with bitsimple
2) send a wire transfer from your bank account to your bitsimple account per bitsimple's instructions
-have bitsimple's official SC office address and phone number on hand, as some banks may ask for that information for the wire transfer
-know the reason for the wire transfer, as some banks will ask you to inform them of the reason for the wire transfer, "Purchase order" or something similar should suffice
3) have real bitcoins in your wallet without ACH transfers or linking your bank account in a manner that would give bitsimple authority to withdraw funds
There are other options, as well, but assuming the OP isn't trolling, he needs to assume at least some risk. C'est la vie.

All funds are safe. Poloniex does use cold wallets.
What happened was an attacker used social engineering to gain root access to a wallet server. This was made possible by absolutely jaw-dropping negligence on the part of the hosting provider. Fortunately, I caught the attempt in time and was able to shut down the server before anything was taken. All BTC has been moved into cold storage, and then next step is to set up a new server with a different provider.
Please stop sending BTC to your old BTC deposit addresses. The funds will not be lost, but all new addresses must be generated, as I must assume the old wallet is compromised. It is very unlikely that it was, but "unlikely" is not good enough.
I appreciate everyone's patience while I take proper security measures before bringing the exchange back online.

the problem is still one those damn 200M, no one will buy until those 200M will die once and for all Stop throwing this shit, 200M coins were blocked forever. you could bring them back with a client upgrade, only hard fork can ensure that they will never be used Just to clarify, it is not enough someone change the code and start running the new wallet... I'll tell you what I think the problems are:
1a. Gator did not make up that sentence that the dev team consisted of 8 people and that 40 Million COMM would go to them. I saw it too in the OP.
1b. Along with the lost coins issue (with only a temporary fix that can be unlocked with an update of the wallet) we received no clarification of this from the dev.
2. There is no leadership, a dev or a dev team that takes charge and busy creating innovative technologie etc.
What's nice is when people highlight problems and give ideas for possible solutions also. I think the hardfork to permanently remove the lost coins will really help for 1b. Is there any way to do permanently remove to the issues with lost coins ...Because as i see it is still in the investors minds ..@andrino |
