As we may all know there is a new fork incoming -> Bitcoin Segwit2x 16th November Fork
My question is, by having my bitcoins stored in Blockchain and having the private key, will I also get access with the private key to the other coin?
also, you suggest putting the money in coinbase or an exchanger that supports the fork, or what you suggest?
thanks!
It is a fork, so the private key is the same for both. If you trust an exchange you can leave your bitcoin there and they should give you access to both coins.

I was away for a while, was there a second bitcoin claim after the April one? I have linked my address to bitcore again for the airdrops, so that part I think it's good and ready for tomorrow.
This second time is not working as the first one (via claiming), but via a tirect transfer to all BTC adresses that contain >0.01 BTC on 02 Nov. Then the way you can grab it is to import priv. key into Bitcore client. Please check the OP. Thanks!

Well, looks like bitcoin going over $6,000 today while most alts are on red is due to people moving into BTC to get the fork coins. If so, after the fork we can expect money moving back into alt coins and BTC to come down somehow.

Here some information about BitcoinGold project which plans to be forked 25 October. The main aim is to make bitcoin decentralized as it should be. Mining algorithm is equihash (like at ZEC). Official site: http://btcgpu.org/Twitter: https://twitter.com/btcgpuFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/btcgpuI've just heard the news and make this post here. I'm not related to this project. Will they be success? Let's share opinions. This fork looks more and more like a bad idea or a scam. Beware if no replay protection guys. :/

Going parabolic! What we really need is a better wallet, the best I can use is in alpha and hangs after I close it up, I have to manually kill the process from my linux console. :/

Yeah, I don´t like the new distribution model as well. I bought thinking in getting at least 2 more airdrops as it was announced. That last minute change is tricky at least.
I will reenter again when we hit rock solid bottom, that looks it could be .09-.07 area. Let´s see.
I think it´s a great technology and the wallet is fantastic, but now is dumping time
I think the new distro model will prove to be very exciting, specially if some big merchants jump on board. Utility is what should give value to crypto coins and most ALT coins right now have absolutely zero utility. I agree that now it looks like dumping time, but when the dust settle it should be a good opportunity to enter again. I am just holding.

I want to send BTC to bittrex to buy some Gbyte. Is it safe to send?
The snapshot is supposed to happen at 18:10 UTC, after that it should be safe to send. Edit: sorry, I misread your question, you can buy at any time of course, I thought you wanted to send Bytes to Bittrex.

I want to say that I really really really like the new distribution scheme from Tonych. Finally one crypto developer that wants to focus on usability in real life payments and commerce, this is a breath of fresh air! I have high hopes for byteball now as a leader.

How to claim BCC if you have BTC wallet in Blockchain.com? Any idea?
You need to get your wallet's private key from blockchain.info and then import it into a bitcoin cash wallet. Login to your wallet on Blockchain.info. Goto the 'Settings' Menu on the left. Goto the 'Addresses' Submenu under 'Settings' Menu. Click on 'more options' on the right. Click on 'private key' Then copy that private key and import it into a new bitcoin cash wallet. You can find the wallets here: https://www.bitcoincash.org/Good luck!

before the fork,i transfer my bitcoin from wallet address A to B,and i tranfer it back from B to A after fork,so the private key i should use to claim BCC is the priv key of B right?
and,is it safe to using electron-cash for claiming BCC?
I wrote this guide yesterday: 1- Wait until after the fork when a few BCH (bitcoin cash) blocks have been mined. There is no hurry, you can wait a day, a week, etc. Copy the BTC private key where you have your BTC funds. 2- Move all your bitcoin BTC to a new wallet with a new private key. BCH has replay protection, so you will be able to move your BTC without moving your BCH. 3- Wait until your Bitcoin BTC is confirmed in the new wallet. Be sure to complete steps 1-3 before moving to step 4. 4- Install a Bitcoin Cash (BCH) wallet and enter the private keys of the original wallet (the wallet you just moved your Bitcoin BTC out of). To be maximally safe, the BCH wallet should be installed on a different machine than the one that has your new Bitcoin BTC wallet on it. You can find a list of BCH wallets on the Bitcoin Cash website. 5- This step isn’t necessary, but as a final step you may want to move your BCH to a new BCH wallet with a new private key, just to help ensure you don’t mistake your BCH wallet address for the BTC address it used to be.

A simple stupid question maybe, I have coins on this address 1AAUyViyStqksesfPjbujfHFek2eMRQgUh will I get BCH (or BCC is it ?) ?
There is a fork and every address will have access to both coins. To get the BCH or BCC (bitcoin cash) separated from your regular BTC you need to find the private key to that address and download a wallet from the bitcoin cash website. Please follow the above instructions on how to separate them. https://www.bitcoincash.org/

I had my BTC on Kraken exchange during the fork. I heard I would have 1:1 BTC/BCH coins. I cannot find them in Kraken as I would like to sell them. Where can I find my BCH in Kraken?
I have mine on Kraken and in their blog they say it will take time until they get enough confirmations that everything is working fine after the fork and it may take a few hours. We will get our BCC hopefully today. Edit- read their blog here: http://blog.kraken.com/post/1183/bitcoin-cash-and-a-critical-alert-for-margin-traders-part-2-2/

I try to be clear and concise, hopefully this will help some people.
