1  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Bitcoin Wallet for Android on: November 17, 2014, 10:39:44 AM
Since my own thread doesn't get much attention I'm going to ask it here:

Is there by chance any method to remove an address from my wallet? Either by modifying the backup (which I just can't decode for some reason) or in the app itself?

I have an address that receives many big transactions and it completly kills the app, yet I want to keep using the other addresses that I have if possible.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Managing addresses on: November 07, 2014, 10:06:19 PM
One thing that I really liked about this wallet was the easy to manage addressbook. At the moment I have an address in my wallet that totally breaks the app, it is completly unusable. Before I could create a new address, send all my coins to there and remove the broken one but that whole option is gone. Is there by chance any way to fix this problem?

If this downgrade is to stay, I have no choice left but switching to another app to manage my funds. I understand that it isn't encouraged to use the same address over and over again, but for normal users like me this isn't a big deal and removing this option is a really bad choice.

Yes i want to know what it means of broken address?... Smiley

An address with many large transactions (many others beside me are paid with it), which makes the whole app unusable. I want to remove this address from my wallet to use it on another client instead, but since the HD wallet this is impossible.

My mininghost pays me on a daily basis but as a side effect all those huge transactions the app becomes almost unusable. Sending coins to other addresses is almost impossible. I am pretty sure this is unnecessarily, since any crawler can be used to obtain only data I am interested in, without downloading all other addresses in the transaction.

There is no way for me to fix this problem without completly wiping my wallet, something I absolutly don't want to do. Is there any plan to fix this, or is there a workaround for my problem?

Dear sir/madam

Please take a look at a new coin: DigiByte. This coin has various fixes to the orginal bitcoin source which helps improving the overall stability of the coin. Currently the coin is in need of an exchange, various merchants have accepted this coin and are in need of one. Please add it to your exchange to help DigiByte grow even further.

Hi all !

IMHO all alt coin is premine scam  Grin

Premine can be good, till a certain number. If the dev makes clear where the premine is used for and if it isn't a ridiculous amount you can safely say that it isn't a scam.

I have seen people whose coins didn't appear for days. The only thing you can do is being patient. It is the best to not send all your coins at once.

Are you sure those 50 coins are confirmed? It will take a while before mined blocks are confirmed.

It is the best to mine a scrypt coin if you have a decent GPU. Litecoin is by far the most supported scrypt coin and has plenty of mining options.

If you feel that your GPU isn't good enough (around 200 khash/s or less), it is a good idea to think of CPU coins, like Primecoin.
