1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin safer than banking? on: September 13, 2018, 11:23:20 AM
for now the  answer is a big no because the cryptocurrency industry is subjected to so much manipulation and that one has caused the industry so much.Even SEC has sited some of these concerns as a reason for rejecting the btc ETF proposal. The manipulation of the market  by certain unseen forces makes it riskier than any other industry now.The cryptocurrency industry is not yet safer than banks .we may get there one day but we are not there yet.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you use Bitcoin as a practical currency? on: September 13, 2018, 07:09:56 AM
We are gradually getting there where bitcoin will become the normal currency that will be used daily on normal transactions worldwide since the industry is still developing and making discoveries everyday.Time will tell what bitcoin can actually do in the future to come.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to understand ico? on: September 13, 2018, 06:58:43 AM
For me,I will say that ICO is initial coin offering which is a way for either an existing company or upcoming project to raise money globally from investors to fund the project and give profits back to those investors as time passes by and the company operations become more profitable.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Without ETF , can expect a huge bull run on: September 13, 2018, 06:09:45 AM
We should be able to enter a serious bull without ETF but it is rather unfortunate that now everyone is looking at ETF to break lose the market.Well let us hope and see if perhaps there is ETF then we shall enter into the bull run soon but without etf,it is quite dicey and no one can really really be confident about this.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will bitcoin become obsolete? on: September 13, 2018, 05:57:43 AM
Never will this happen as bitcoin is set to become world number currency. This is just the beginning for bitcoin to do many great things that are being prepared right now for this great future that await the most celebrated coin in blockchain technology.Bitcoin can never become obsolete.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What world currencies are actually backed by gold? on: September 13, 2018, 05:48:16 AM
I do not think that there are any currencies in the world now that are backed by gold. Most of the countries have taken their currencies out of the gold standard and make it fiat money which are issued by the governments that is why most nations are in debts now and struggling to deal with them.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may reach $ 20,000 by the end of this year? on: September 13, 2018, 05:30:30 AM
Despite all odds ,most of the predictors still stand by their word even though we are almost entering the last quarter of this year.Well,I am not an expect in this industry so we shall wait and see what shall become of these wild predictions for the most celebrated digital currency called btc now.HOPEFULLY ETF may push it to this amazing prediction.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still believe in ETH ? on: September 13, 2018, 05:12:08 AM
eth is really facing a hard time nowadays as we all see from the market, things are not that easy for eth. Many anaylsts have blaemd it on ICO projects that have collected so much eth to be the cause of this low dips .But as so many projects are running on the eth blockchain, eth cannot die and i believe strongly that eth will surely bounce back to take its place.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I invest only in ICOs on: August 02, 2018, 06:36:32 AM
I will prefer to buy my tokens nowadays at exchanges instead of investing in ico because most of the icos get to exchange and the price fall miserably and one can get a lot of coins at a very cheap price compared to those who invested at ICOS .So I will rather wait for the coin to get to an exchange so that I fill my bags over there and wait for a bull market.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So, Crypto Market ALL RED Again!! on: July 31, 2018, 08:48:40 PM
well, what we are seeing recently in the market nowadays is really trying times for cryptocurrency. The fluctuations are just too much and the drama seems unstoppable. It is really something amidst the issues of SEC either to approve or reject ETFs petitions. Today, I read somewhere that SEC has started looking into the strength of coins.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reading Whitepapers on: July 29, 2018, 11:03:16 PM
Now scam projects will plagiarize whitepapers without team members and try to outwit investors to run away with their money. So it is advisable for any investor or a bounty hunter to take ample time to read and make meaning out of the whitepaper of every project in order to avoid any scam. But unfortunately, most investors do not take their time to read and find out what the project is all about and find meaning if the idea is feasible or not but they just get up and invest their money and in the end, dirty scammers will run away with their hard earned money.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token goes down. Wait or sell? on: July 29, 2018, 10:56:57 PM
The situation in the market can be seen as an opportunity to make money or seen as a loss depending on the telescope each person is viewing the market situation from right now. To me selling right now is a tragedy for anyone who is bent on making money in cryptocurrency as a long time investor. This is the time most whales buy coins at a very cheap price and later sell to make huge sums of money and people do not understand. The whales know how to take advantage of the market situation but weak hands will always panic and dump.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It could take 2 years for the market to recover on: July 28, 2018, 10:52:59 PM
Two years to recover? That will be a great hell but who knows it could be true because bitcoin took about eight years to be valuable for everyone to talk about today. Anything worthwhile takes time and the nature of the market now could be a test of our faith in cryptocurrency. Our faith can either take us far or near so let the will of the market be done and the faithful survives.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you sell your coins? on: July 28, 2018, 10:41:46 PM
wow, this is a great question to anyone in the cryptocurrency world here and it demands an individual response because one may have pressing needs to solve, another maybe selling because he does not want to lose money when prices are dropping badly. Another maybe selling to make ends meet or make a living actually. For me, my first sell was because I needed to buy a laptop.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you keep all your bounty coins or you convert some to ETH and BTC? on: July 26, 2018, 10:49:37 PM
Some altcoins are great and even go on to increase in value whiles eth and BTC are falling so as to convert all your coin to eth or BTC is an individual belief and what you believe in. Either BTC or etc. Because these two are already established, people feel safer when their coins are in this form but it is not always the best
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what exactly are we waiting for? on: July 26, 2018, 10:38:17 PM
well, most people are holding coins in their wallets waiting for great spikes in market trends so that they can sell and become rich. The majority of us here care so much about the prices of cryptocurrency but some are also waiting for the worldwide adoption of cryptocurrency that will be a long-term goal for the industry. Because when we go mainstream, the prices and other issues will naturally be resolved.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic loss me 10800$ , so patient is the key on: July 25, 2018, 12:30:52 AM
This is a massive loss indeed, it all depends on what needs the person has to liquidate and solve at that particular time but I think that seeling immediately after three days was a quick decision that you could have waited small and at least see the market trend before you decide to do anything. Anyway, the harm has been caused already so let us add it to the pool of experiences that we are gathering daily in the cryptocurrency industry.
20  Economy / Economics / Re: Success of an investment may not be true to all? on: July 25, 2018, 12:20:21 AM
I have overheard one investor complains of how he invested in 12 ICOS and 10 of them have already failed him and he was quite bitter toward cryptocurrency investments especially ICOs.He was advised to stay positive and hold the tokens for a long time so that when the market recovers, he could make up for his loses. So whiles others are harvesting big from their investments, others are not happy but I think it all has to do with the skills of the investor involved.
