why the f*** are you posting a link to wallet outside the OP.. douchebag.

Never download anything that's not in the OP and not from the dev, it could have a virus in it. If he really wants to take over he should discuss it with the community first and start a new announcement thread.

This coin is dead in the water. No checkpoint and the chain is stuck.

If the chain stops then the coin dies. We need someone who knows how to fix it urgently.
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happened to AllCrypt.com!? All Coins seems to be are Stolen!!!! on: March 18, 2015, 08:59:23 PM
AllCrypt has updated its sitedown page with this.

Update: Spent the last 16 hours scouring logs. I believe I know what happened and how. I'll post full details as soon as I know more. The site is down, for now, completely, until I can assess the damage done. I'm not even sure there is anything to bring back up.

https://www.allcrypt.com/sitedown.html
Thanks for the Update

There's now an allcrypt blog post about it.

https://www.allcrypt.com/blog/2015/03/what-happened-and-whats-going-on/

We may re-open someday. This puts us back months, if not years. Without even that 10.8 BTC to recoup any costs, this is absolutely crushing. So I cannot say. I’ve actually had offers to buy the site. Maybe. I don’t know. This was my baby, and I’d hate to let it go.

Anyway, that’s all the news I have for now. I’ll try to post updates about any coin returns, and will be sending emails to those affected when we get those tools in working order. It won’t be a quick process. There’s ton’s of cleanup to be done.

5  Economy / Speculation / Re: $350 by Sunday on: March 16, 2015, 06:20:15 PM
he said nothing about dates.

I think in some sunday from now to the end of times prices will be $350 at least once

His post implies by last Sunday. Predicting that sooner or later Bitcoin will hit 350 is too easy.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Ocupy Coin" has a spelling error on: February 25, 2015, 02:44:56 AM
Heh of all the things to talk about the coin like it being another BitcoinSachs/Altcointoday/Fuelcoin connected scam, typos are what someone is worried about.

Nah, this is all I'm worried about.  But if your project title has a misspelled commonplace word, isn't that indicative of your seriousness in creating this project?

It's the first thing people see, before they even see the logo. First impressions count.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which are the bright new altcoins of 2015? on: February 25, 2015, 02:43:11 AM
Etherium it is and will be waiting till end of March or the end of 1st quarter of 2015 for the fireworks!

Waiting for it as well. its supposed to be out by 20th Of March.

Many of us are waiting that release.

Are lots of people going to use it for smart contracts? I don't think many people will use them.
8  Other / Off-topic / Re: Weed is 114 times less deadly than alcohol, study finds on: February 25, 2015, 02:40:00 AM
Alcohol is just as likely to give you cancer as plain old cigarettes (with no weed in them). You rarely hear it in the news though because all the reporters drink.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Critical Levels - EW analysis on: February 14, 2015, 10:17:02 AM
You guys think we'll make a short term top around $260?

I was thinking that many people seem to be eager to pick up at sub 200 so if we make new lows, I feel like it should be shortlived and it'll be obvious that it is a bottom. But bottoms are rarely easy to tell which is why I think that we may not see new lows.

Chessnut thinks we will test the bottom again and he got it right this time.

............

I am still bearish longer term, this doesn't change anything.. I think we need to test lows one more time.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]BitcoinPlus (XBC) / RETURN OF THE KING! on: January 31, 2015, 07:00:00 PM
Another shitcoin ? Smiley

If there were awards for shitcoins, XBC would make a clean sweep and GrounBEEFtaxi would win the shitcoin Oscar for 'Biggest Cunt In Crypto'!

I'm glad I dumped mine and I feel sorry for anyone still holding. Maybe a new dev might take over.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your best profit long term hold on: January 19, 2015, 01:37:29 AM
I have also done OK out of unobtanium. It's an old crypto unlike the recent pump and dumps.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paycoin drops to a few cents on paybase on: January 19, 2015, 01:35:39 AM
Did anyone buy? i managed to get 800XPY for 0.50, could of gotten a lot more but im happy. Got to 0.01 cents at one point

Well, this is really not good for XPY holders in general if a bunch of people got Coins for that price because all those Coins are going to be sold immediately for a 600% profit.

Yup. Huge dumps incoming no doubt

I cannot see the price holding up anyway so anyone who gets coins that cheap would be stupid not to dump.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PND]Pandacoin | First Hybrid Wallet | 5000% Faster Blockchain Download | Instant Sync on: January 03, 2015, 01:05:16 AM
a typical P&D coin,is it dead?  Huh

Actually, I'm glad you brought this up. Not only are we not dead, we will weather ANY storm ANY time. Panic is not part of the equation. That's how a good strong vibrant coin is built. We ARE that COIN.

Pandacoin's first birthday will soon be coming up. That shows how alive this coin is.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Spoetnik warned you all - he's sicking the SEC on your ass now on: October 28, 2014, 12:08:38 PM
Cointelegraph reports the SEC letters to possibly hundreds of crypto-companies, but also reports FinCEN has simultaneously ruled exchanges and payment processors most likely fall under the US definition of money transmitter and thus, must apply for licenses.

Does anyone know how to officially destroy coins? I'm not sure how to destroy them.

This post from the freebies coin thread may help

Any news on the coin destruction video yet or are we still waiting?

Hi,

Regarding this issue I would like to discuss with everyone the possibilities before we do something we can't undo.

First of all, when anyone issues the command getinfo it will be presented a variable called "moneysupply" which shows the amount of existing coins. Right now it is 501029874.12035203. This information will not be reduced by 175000000 after we destroy the coin. If this is what we are expecting it might be another options, but I sincerely don't think this is required.

There are a few ways to make these coins unavailable:

1. Come up with an address that passes the basic sanity checks but is internally invalid. We can know for sure that no key could possibly match this address.

2) Put strings of characters in the address that are way beyond what anyone could generate in a vanity address. For example, if the address has "FreebiesThatWereGoneForever" in it, it's clearly beyond anyone's capability to find a corresponding private key.

3) Use a public key that's obviously made up, such as one that consists only of zero bytes or that contains all consecutive digits of Pi. It's clearly beyond anyone's capability to find a corresponding private key. (For this one to work, we need to disclose the public key.)

4) Use a hash of the public key that's obviously made up. This works the same as the option above, but the difficulty would be in even finding a public key with such a hash, much less finding the corresponding private key.

As the PoS mint works??
I left my wallet online from when I got the 1M.
And a friend who received the Stake in the same period opened it only to sync.

Received the same amount of interest.

So it's not necessary to leave the wallet connected to receive the stake?

You can leave your wallet offline for up to 100 days and still get the same interest, but it helps make the network stronger if you leave it online as often as possible.

Votes update: 60654, MEOW has no chance. Our next target is 3rd place. We should take this one step at a time. Meaning if we push to around 75k votes today I think we will be on 3rd place.

As I said before, if there are at least 470 stakeholders, basic math shows in 12 hours we can achieve around 28200 votes. This should definitely push us on 3rd place.

I have sent another detailed email to mintpal. They know about us now and if things get hot enough maybe we'll have a surprise from them. This is in no way sure, but it is a possibility.

Things are getting very interesting for CommunityCoin.

We are almost there, lets get this over with!

We are up to 60712 votes with the five I just made. We only need a few more to put MEOW behind us. Keep voting everyone.
