1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DOLP] ★★DolphinCoin★★ | New POD Algorithm | Now on FobCoin on: January 20, 2015, 03:29:31 PM
Hi guys, what do you think about changing the logic on http://www.dolpshare.com?

Donate BTC instead of DOLP to fund projects, and still dividend BTC based on DS(DOLP Share).

That is more right on my opinion. Because now project issuer have to wait good price for DOLP and only after that sell it. So it is impossible to start project immediately. And may be more people will be interested to start their own projects.

We are changing the mode on DolpShare.com now. Will be released in days.

So your new mode is actually the "I give up" mode?

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GRE] GreenCoin | Merged Mining implemented on: September 28, 2014, 03:37:57 AM
Merged mining is like a Physics class to me.

I remember most of my Physics classes. The explaination given by the teacher was alway crystal clear. But later I was unable to do the homeworks because somehow I was unable to translate the theory to pratical examples.  Sad

Same thing for merged mining. I understand the basics (I think) but I'm confused with the "How to".

I understand that I will mine GRE and another major coin at the same time (correct me if I'm wrong!). If I take BeMining as example, I will mine RBY and GRE at the same time (and maybe 5 other coins??). There is no registration so I use my RBY adress as username. OK but... how will I receive the GRE coins?

Another question, if I want to calculate the profitability of ming GRE, do I take the current difficulty of GRE or the dif. of RBY? Do each coin keep their own difficulty?

Hey, owner of bemining.net here. You are mining all 7 coins at the same time. You set your miner with your Ruby address, start the miner. Then, visit http://bemining.net/stats and copy/paste your Ruby address (may take ~5 minutes for your stats to show). Once there, you will see a list of all the merge-mined coins for you to enter your address. Follow those instructions. Upon that coin finding a block, you will get a payout after the block matures and the payout cycle runs. More on Merged Mining (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Merged_mining_specification)

If you have any questions or concerns, come hit me up in #bemining. I'm sigwo or bemining_op there.

Thank you. Being without registration I did not realize that we still have a kind of profile where we can add other adresses.

Why you all updating your pools, can you make the minimum difficulty = 128? This is to make it compatible again with NiceHash. See this post for details: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=562238.msg8777393#msg8777393
6  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - innovative professional cryptocurrency cloud mining service on: September 11, 2014, 03:47:15 AM
As buyer, how to make it work with vardiff pools??
Since you increased the Scrypt minimum difficulty to 128, all NiceHash do is eating my money without giving the service I'm willing to pay for. I always get the "Disconnected. Pool difficulty too low." error.

Why don't you give time to the pool to adjust the difficulty?

A comm member on IRC has created a Youtube video tutorial about using SFRPay. Some of u consider it to be a little complicated or may have some problems using it. This video should certainly help u out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q__MV-qujN4

At 1:40 in the video is the moment when my transactions fail everytime, after I click the PAY button. I tried so many times (I estimate more than 20 times over many days) to purchase SFR with PayPal, it worked only one time.  Sad

OK it finally worked !

Maybe it is just luck but here what I did to make it work:

When it asked me to log in to my PayPal account, I checked the option "Remember me" (I usually do not check this). The purchase failed. However, the next attempt worked fine. Maybe it's a bug with their login page. Or like I said, it may be just luck.

If you feel that the payment page is taking too much time to load, just stop and refresh the page.

Do you mean the following page?

[ img]https://i.imgur.com/2noakrq.png[ /img]

I tried many times on different days to purchase SFR with a credit card (as guest via Paypal). Everytime, after I enter my credit card and confirm the purchase, the small window close and I'm stuck on that "loading" page. Once I waited for more than 5 minutes. It never go further. I tried on Chrome and Internet Explorer, nothing work.

Another question:
What is the current stance of Paypal about bitcoin and cryptomoney? I remember when they closed accounts of people using Paypal to buy & purchase bitcoin. I have a very old Paypal account, never got problem. I don't want to jeopardize it.  Undecided

To which country is your paypal account got registered? If it is India, your transaction will not go through since our merchant account is from India. PayPal does not allow transfers within India.

Regarding PayPal stance, they do close accounts that deal with Bitcoin directly. That is the reason we are using vouchers as digital goods. We are not using PayPal directly to trade cryptos. Users can buy vouchers with a code in it. These are legal by PayPal and fall under "digital goods". I don't think Paypal really cares if those vouchers are used to buy cryptos.

On the International thread, many users have reported successfully purchasing SFR in the wallet. We had processed over 1 BTC worth of SFR in 2 days. Some had to refresh that Payment page about 3-4 times. We can't do anything about that. That is the PayPal API and it is their server that takes time to load. Maybe for Indian Merchants, there PayPal servers are not fast enough.
It may take about 2 mins for the page to load. But if your PayPal is from India, then you can't use this service.
We are working to implement Indian Payment Gateways for Indian users.

Also everything has worked smoothly till now. INR has been transferred to my Bank account from PayPal.

I live in Canada, so account is registered in Canada.
I was trying to buy as guest (not logging into my account), making sure I choose Canada as country.

Now I'm more confident that it is OK to use Paypal I just trying to purchase via my account like I do for any online purchase.
Bad news, I still get the "loading" page forever...

I will try again few times and report if I succesfully make a purchase.

Hi, i am sorry for the delay, the DOLP demon have been down on the server. We will re-send it today.

Lie! Never re-sent.

Can the Dev please let us know how much remains in the 3B Multipool distribution?

many of us want to know the figures.

I hope developer will reveal the actual number of Dolpcoins left for distribution.
It is very important for all of us to know becasue in market no movement at all.

We can check every single distribution record but no exact total number of distributed DOLP. Maybe we will add a sum display feature so everyone can check it. We can only say that about 1B DOLP have been distributed on Multipool.

FYI, from last Saturday on the daily distributed DOLP has been linked to the real profits of that day. If the daily profit is 0.01 BTC, then we will distribute 1M DOLP but not 10M any more.

Thanks to taking consideration of this, just try to more open like this.
Becasue community like openness, people don't like at all is something is hide.

Until now there is nothing hide in Dolphincoin...it is more open than many of the famous coins around here

Hahaha you're funny!

OK. One more attempt to prove that I do not receive my fair share of the dividends.

I exported all my transactions into a spreadsheet. I kept only the valid Mint by Stake transactions. I have removed the Generated but not accepted transactions (I had only one).

And then, I highlighted in yellow and green each block of minted coins with the corresponding DOLP Shares received.

By example, in my early days with DolpCoin you can see everything is perfect.
On the date 28/06 (or the day before), I minted 22.0108+6.5911+23.3815=51.9834 DOLP. I also got 51.9834 DOLP Shares.
On 29/06, I minted 19.7081+12.1883+28.003=59.8994 DOLP. I got 59.8994 DOLP Shares.

[img ]https://i.imgur.com/ZgIi1V1.png[ /img]

However, in the latest days I do not receive all the DOLP Shares I deserve. Look at this:

[ img]https://i.imgur.com/rT9iDm8.png[ /img]

You see the non-colored coins? There is no corresponding DOLP Shares.
So on 26/07 I got 325.6581 DOLP Shares, corresponding to 325.6581 minted DOLP. Why I did not get DOLP Shares for the 379.3477+256.8272+320.2437=956.4186 minted DOLP?

Hi, please don't look at someday but more long term for DOLP Share. It will diffence from DOLP Stake Age, BTC dividend timezone on the server, etc. And all the DOLP Shares are based on the Block Explorer: http://www.dolphincoin.org:1234/, even we can't control it. Thanks !

So you don't even try to look into the problem because you think that your business is perfect, problems are impossible...

What do you mean by long term?
About 250 minted coins on July 3 never received their corresponding Shares. That's one month ago!

Timezones?
I made the spreadsheet with colored blocks with the main idea to prove that it's not a timezone issue.

I know you cannot control the block chain but... what if your scrypt has a bug? What if somehow it skip, misread or forget to write in the database some blocks?

On the other hand, I admit that I do not know how to read the block chain. So here several transaction ID. If someone find the reason why I do not receive some DOLP Share, please explain me.

Minted coins for which I did not receive corresponding DOLP Shares.
Transactions seen on the lines 198, 199 and 200 in my spreadsheet.

Transactions seen on the lines 192, 192 and 193 in my spreadsheet.

Oh and by the way, I did not receive the promised second round of dividend yesterday to compensate the missed day because your server was down. But it's OK. I don't care. I give up.  Angry

Anyone else has problem with deposit on AllCoin.com ?

About 1 hour ago and after 60+ confirmations, I sent some coins but it still not credited in my account. I sent them a support ticket, I will see what they say.

I'm not worried yet, I'm just curious to know if I'm alone or not...

I haven't heard anything about this? Last few buys that I've done I was able to withdraw just fine.

I got a reply from them:

Our wallet blocked at 77282 block. We're checking our wallet, please have a wait.
