2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Should I invest in altcoin now? on: October 04, 2018, 05:09:44 PM
This repressed period in crypto market is best for making investment. You can go for a balanced altcoins portfolio. Invest in coins with use case so that their price has a reason to grow in future and not just a pump and dump scheme. Be a little choosy with coins and research properly before investing.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you make money from ICO? on: October 04, 2018, 05:05:15 PM
ICO were quite profitable the last year. In 2017, ICO which came in first half were really good. The good ones used to get pumped 5 times the ICO price after exchange listing. This trend was followed till the year end. I joined Monaco and Minexcoin ICO and was quite profitable in both of them.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Bitcoin bullrun this year. on: October 04, 2018, 04:57:32 PM
There is always a pump season near year end if we go by last trends. It isn't about the last year. This trend is visible in most of the preceding years. I think that there will be a pump for sure before the year end but it won't be that high as last year. Coins will gain but will not pump to ridiculous levels.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: shall i convert my bitcoins to ethereum? on: October 03, 2018, 05:12:27 PM
Why to go whole in one coin?
Keep both BTC and ETH for a balanced portfolio. Or you can add more coins to your portfolio comprising of large, medium and small cap coins. That way you can enjoy the high returns small cap coins have to offer, plus you can hedge your portfolio with large cap coins against the risk because of medium and small cap.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does crypto offer riches overnight? on: October 03, 2018, 05:10:32 PM
Earlier with less people, cryptos were relatively more volatile. Going from $1 to $2 wasn't a big deal and there you have 100% returns. Now, with more investors, the price movements isn't that volatile. But the expectations from cryptos have not changed. People still consider it a way to make quick bucks and get ruined in trading.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We need to change on: October 03, 2018, 05:08:13 PM
I have only gained good things from cryptocurrencies (they have changed my life for the better), however, I am frustrated at those who are in for money, and only money. They hurt themselves as well as cryptocurrencies future. I am sad that I still can't use bitcoin to purchase the things I want, as it isn't used as a payment currency/method. I am sad that there are big financial institutions that want (and do their best) to wipe the crypto world out, and instead of working together as a crypto-community to thrive, we are fighting, arguing, and scamming each other. Where I live, the government relentlessly tightens and destroys our financial lives—I was lucky to have found salvation in cryptocurrencies when others struggled.

We need to show the world that we are not just a bunch of wanna-be millionaires, that we actually care.

Most people here don't know anything about the tech and are in for money only. But you cant blame them or accuse them for anything. They have brought investment with them. Why people trade in stock, shares and forex? Not because they believe in them but for mere profit. What's wrong with that? Cryptocurrencies are built on deflationary model. So, you can't separate the money making tendency from it.

For utility, yes there is lot to be done. But trading perspective can't be ignored completely.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be stronger this time on: October 03, 2018, 05:05:04 PM
Bitcoin is at stronger place. That insane growth to $20k was highly manipulative one and was not organic. The dump was expected anyhow. This $6k price where Bitcoin has been stable for long shows that the market has accepted this price point and this is pretty organic. In future with more acceptance and use case, Bitcoin is likely to grow more.
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bouncing back. on: August 04, 2018, 04:52:48 PM
After this correction, BTC is at the support right now. We need to watch the charts a bit more to confirm any trend at this moment. But I feel, we had a satisfactory correction and now a rebound will take place. But an ultimate rebound which will confirm a bull ride is not coming anytime soon I think unless and until ETF actually get launched which is rare a possibility.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Why spend time in bitcoins? on: August 04, 2018, 04:49:51 PM
Maybe because Bitcoin is a new technology, a revolution in monetary landscape, a decentralized (never thought of) asset/currency, high ROI and still pretty new for being an early investor. I think these are enough of the reason to adopt and spend time on Bitcoin.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you did not listen before, now is last chance to reduce your loss on: August 04, 2018, 04:38:11 PM
I told you so - many times in here. It was a bubble, and you should get the hell out of BTC.

The responses in here were mainly hysteric screaming of "FUD".

It is now clear from more and more posts in here that people who came late to the bubble-party are in losses on their Bitcoins. Well, told you so.

This is not the time to HODL. The party is over. Your choice is whether to sell now and take a loss, or wait until you have lost everything.
What if I say the same growth like last year, this year as well. Will you still call it a bubble. If BTC was abubble and have no intrinsic value, then price wouldn't have stopped at $6k, it would have gone quite below to $1k maybe. What is sustaining the value at $6k? I would like an answer to that.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Too many new Exchanges on: July 29, 2018, 03:29:37 PM
Recently i was working on a project related to Altcoin listing on different exchanges. Strange i found out too many new exchanges and people are trading well over there. Don't you guys think there should be limited number of exchanges and regulated ones? (Many new exchanges are nicer too and competitive but there is always a trust issue there specially for new investors). Your thoughts.
Welcome to decentralized world, dude!

Why you want to put a tab to this decentralization. Already government and banks are trying that. At least people inside the community should support the decentralized system. There are indeed many exchanges today and this do create a scattering of volume. But usually the volume stays in top exchanges. Unless the new exchange do bring something unique and user friendly.

14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning Crypto trading as a beginner on: July 28, 2018, 05:24:41 PM
So many persons learn Crypto trading through the hard way, with no guidance from any angle and I happen to be among these categories of persons... And one thing I understand is that, those that learn through hard ways always do best!

So many persons sees trading as one big thing that requires a lot of time to learn, the fact is that anything that involves money requires an attention and sometimes we often get scared of losing our money.
But the truth is that Crypto trading is very easy compared to forex/stock-market.

You can learn Crypto trading on your own without any help from anyone, but you can't do this with forex/stock-market.

The best way to learn about Crypto trading is to play around with the market with a small amount of money.

Or if you have any altcoin, you can spare some unit, take it to the market, do some buying and  selling, do it over and over again, it doesn't necessarily mean you must buy the same altcoin. Buy other altcoins.
If  you can keep up with this within a 2weeks, You will see results.

Contributions from other Crypto Trader is higher welcome but please avoid spamming.

Who says that crypto market is anyway easier than stocks and forex? Why can't anyone who can learn crypto trading can't learn forex/stocks market?

I think you are calling Forex/stock market a bit complicated because you need to go through brokers and everything and it is not that easy process as opening a crypto exchange on your mobile. But in technical point of view, no market is this manipulated and volatile like cryptos which makes technical indicators useless most of the time. So, if you think trading cryptos is anyway easier, try other markets as well.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: The dollar affects Bitcoin? on: July 28, 2018, 05:16:06 PM
I don't think that fiat has any correlation with cryptos at this particular time when overall marketcap is near $300 Billion. Market is only dependent upon the internal news related to cryptos itself. But if there is a time of severe economic condition and fiat is losing value because of failed economy, people might pit their money in other assets which are not affected much by such economic conditions and what is best than cryptos in such cases.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC reach 10k$ at this time? on: July 28, 2018, 05:13:03 PM
Only if BTC crosses the next resistance at $8800. Volume is diminishing since BTC crosses $8k. But still sellers aren't able to overpower the buyers because of ETF speculations. ETF launch is a perfect pumping news for BTC and altcoins usually follow it. But if ETF gets disapproved, be ready to see a serious dump. But I think it might only get postpone instead of disapproval.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Run of Over 500% Might Occur if Bitcoin ETF Gets Approved on: July 28, 2018, 05:06:43 PM
The major problem is that the approval of ETF on 16th Aug is subject to speculation. Many experts are mentioning that it might get postponed if not disapproved. I think there would be a mix sentiment if the ETF gets postponed. There won't be a steep decline in prices, rather a small correction and BTC will start moving up again until the next date. In 2014 also we saw ETF speculations which was done primarily as a pump/dump scheme.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to get rid of emotions when trading on: July 22, 2018, 02:16:53 PM
The best way is to trade with the money you can afford to lose. If you are trading so that you can pay for your bills, then it is tough to take out emotions out of trading. Only play with the amount which if lost won't make a difference in your life. People who are full time traders are professional enough to keep emotions out of their work. But part time traders usually for FOMO and panics.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to put the tokens on the exchange? on: July 22, 2018, 02:14:04 PM
Keeping your tokens with a third party can never be safe more than keeping them with you. Everything on internet is at risk of hacking or breaches. So, if you are asking how much it is safe to keep token on exchanges, then many big exchanges who spend millions on security, can be trusted. But they all are prone to hack in one way or other. It is always advisable to keep your tokens in cold storage for added security.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DONT INVEST IN BTC IF YOU CAN'T OR AFRAID OF TAKING RISK on: July 22, 2018, 01:31:01 PM
Investing in any asset which is subject to speculation is risky be it cryptos, gold, shares or Forex market. Crypto market is more on a volatile side which makes it a bit risky but then it also give huge ROI in short term which is near to impossible in other assets. So, like any other asset, where market decides the price, invest only that amount which you can afford to lose.
