Things you should know before investing in bitcoin

What everyone wants is to have a stable job and get good savings, the best option is to work the money to get more income for the future and thus have a better quality of life and what better to invest in bitcoin but before you should know certain things about This cryptocurrency.

it is not regulated: there is no entity that regulates and monitors this type of investment. So you should be aware that if you lose your money, nobody will answer

Bitcoin is a high-risk investment: people should know that the level of risk is very high, due to volatility and inability to predict its price. "

Do not get into debt to buy cryptocurrencies: this really should not be done with this or with another investment, if you are going to work your money with extra money you got.

Do not invest more than you are willing to lose: "it is recommended that you do not invest your savings in this currency; on the contrary, invest 1% of your assets, something that you are really willing to lose".

Use reliable pages: use safe sites to navigate and also only use reliable devices such as your cell phone, your computer and your home's wireless network. Never use public networks neither to make investments nor for any type of financial consultation.

Crypto currency  investments is risky however it is very lucrative, since one can acquire exponential increments in money or  very high percentage increments. However they must be approached in a practical manner otherwise one can lose some or all of money invested.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is a good amount to invest? on: July 07, 2018, 11:02:44 PM
What is a good amount to start with when investing into crypto?

I see lots of posts about “I have $100 / $200, what should I buy” and most of the time the answers are with that amount just invest in an ICO etc etc.

I would be interested to know what people here consider a good starting amount to invest...and I know the basics of not investing more than you can afford to loose but for arguements sake, what’s a good number to start with?

I’m not so much interested from a whale perspective of investing like $500k or $1mill, more so the normal everyday average joe male/female investor who wants to dabble in the crypto market. Would it be $1k, $2k, $5k, $10k, $20k etc? People new to the game or interested to start investing in this space may find this useful so they know a rough number which would be a good starting point before turning  that into riches (the obvious dream).

For reference I initially started with about $3k (it’s not loads but it was a start) and over time I’ve added more and more (it gets addicting) into the pot as and when I have the money to spend and when the time seems good to buy.
Crypto investment is more like an equity based investment with some level of risk. Therefore every investor must calculate the risk with the particular coin and use that to determine the amount he or she choose to invest.
Usually people say that you invest the amount you're willing to lose. But I think that any amount you invest will be dear to you because every penny is important, so being cautious could be the only solution.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to all bounty hunters. on: July 07, 2018, 10:54:59 PM
Bounty hunters help to expose ICOs to crypto related audience to attract investors for the project. No matter how promising the project may be, if the ICO fails, the project won't see the light of the day. Bounty hunters are very important in ICOs. But there is one thing am not happy about bounty hunters. They usually dump their coins at any price the moment it is listed on an exchage which usually drops the price of the coin even below the ICO price putting the investors at a disadvantage. I want to advise the hunters to hold their bounty tokens for a while in order to maintain a good price for the coin. We shouldn't forget we are all stakeholders
I think the reason why many bounty hunters sell their token or coins fast after ICO is that usually bounty hunters hold the least of tokens because of they are normally given the low parts of the token distribution.
Therefore they fear that if they hold the tokens for long and the value of the token decreases then the token they received may not have value at all. Therefore the team of the projects must check to do something about this situation.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are bitcoins valuable? on: July 06, 2018, 11:26:38 PM
In the past and recently, there are some who say bad about bitcoin, that bitcoin has no real value, there is no guarantee of value and assumes that the price will be zero. But everyone should know that the property other things like gold, silver or even money in your pocket are valued by the trust of the people with the central bank. Some countries do not manage the currency like venezuela or zimbabwe paper money fell dramatically. To me, the value of bitcoin is trust in algorithms and trust for network consensus. This belief is very certain because the network of bitcoin is extremely reliable. What is your thought like?
Bitcoin has value. It is not just a currency but it has been that holding Bitcoin could attract an increase in the value of the currency.
Bitcoin is falling sharply in price now and it is losing it value but it was noted to be much valuable dew months ago and there's still chance for it to bounce back.
5  Other / Archival / Re: How can Bitcoin helps the world's economic? on: July 06, 2018, 11:21:03 PM
Some people are asking, "How can Bitcoin helps the world's economic?"

I think this is the right answer. Bitcoin has become a currency for a nation that is currently supporting all kinds of people. Bitcoin has become as an international currency at this point. Once again, technologies help the world to solve its problems. This can raise Bitcoin reputation among economic discussions. And also will give positive mood to Bitcoin markets.

Bitcoin is not yet on that level of influence on countries but rather its economic effects are felt on the level of individuals. Jobless moms, overseas workers, unemployed individuals, students and many more have started to earn online jobs due to bitcoin. In this area we can say that some countries the poverty rate have reduced not on a big scale but on a small scale. But even though this maybe only felt by some few, it is still a helpful currency that allows people to earn online.
I support your claims mate. Bitcoin has created a lot income generating avenues online for people. Through the Blockchain and innovations like the ICO, ideas of people are becoming reality. Because they can easily start up their own company right from the scratch, with the help of the technology and investors, many companies are being established.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Datareum v/s Dataeum v/s Datablockchain v/s Datum on: July 05, 2018, 10:39:54 PM
There are multiple projects going on in a similar domain. I don't know they really want to help the society with the integration of blockchain or just wanna look "Cool" by adding this term to their spineless projects!
They are running their projects on just one use case and that also framed by them! Just adding blockchain will not help anyone they need to be sure that they are actually solving an existing problem in the current system.

what you think of these 4 projects? all 4 are necessary? are they worth investing? which one is better?
They are all data platforms but I believe there'll few unique characteristics specific to each of them. It is just like social media platforms. There are many of them who basically perform the exchange of information and data but each of them is unique in its own way.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm very disappointed with myself. on: July 05, 2018, 10:30:55 PM
I'm extremely depressed about my impatience and persistence.
I'm a stupid man. Fuck myself.
I bought the ETC when its price was 15$, i kept it for three months, including when it down at 9$, I still don't sell, because i believe it. And when ETC rise to 15$. I sold everything and waited it down $ 13 to buy more. But, fuck myself, the next day it rise to fucking 30$, Are you kidding me?
I bought 5000 XRP from May, i still believe it, I bought more yesterday, I bought when its price was 0,00001610sts, and when it down 0,00001558, i afraid BTC up, XRP down. So i sold everything. And... This morning I woke up with a sense of chest not say words.

This is my mistake, definitely like that. I can't blame anyone.
I told myself, "The market is still there. Nothing to hurry"
I don't complain, i post here just relieve stress. I didn't  tell anyone about this, including my wife.
Thank for listening.
These are some of the regrets encountered in trading. For this reason trading requires extra time and diligence to closely observe the market and make intuitive predictions.
However I think that for coins like Ethereum holding could be the best strategy to earn interest.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how much you can profit from altcoins on: July 04, 2018, 10:36:15 PM
there really isn't any kind of limit to how much you can profit from investing in altcoins. it can be from losing 100% of your investment and going down to 0 up to millions of dollars!

it depends on a bunch of things. starting with your experience in trading and in knowing how altcoin market works conversely the pump and dumps. if you have no experience and want to randomly buy based on what others tell you and what they hype up then you will end up losing a lot of money.
then it also depends on how much you are willing to invest and take risks. obviously you can't become a millionaire investing $1 but you will be taking a much bigger risk investing a higher amount.
I support your claims mate.  For my little experience I have acquired, following speculations and baseless predictions to make investment decisions could lead to loss of money. Individuals who pose as experts of cryptos most atimes predict based on intuition and they are likely to make wrong predictions.
Many others who predict Cryptos rise, do so for their own interest because of their affiliation with the team of the project/Altcoin.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: False fear about BITCOIN. on: July 04, 2018, 08:50:46 PM
If you read news like this https://www.ccn.com/mysterious-asian-whale-begins-funneling-funds-back-to-huobi/ that there is someone who has mysteriously bought a large amount of bitcoin. Then sell. All I can read is that Bitcoin has a fan of "Giant" who likes to invest and sell Bitcoin. This means Bitcoin will continue to run. What to worry about? What I do not want is if there is no Bitcoin buying and selling activity. Because that means Bitcoin no longer has any interest. That's what I should be afraid of.
This is just My Opinion Personally. Please fix it if it's wrong.
The story of the whales who control the price is very speculative because there hasn't beenuch proove of it. Many of the news agencies and blogs publish fake news just to get attention.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The effect of altcoin on bitcoin? on: July 03, 2018, 03:43:52 PM
Since the advent of bitcoin in 2009 led to cryptocurenccy experts competing to make another new coin like bitcoin, this is ALTCoin, where ALTCoin moves at the rate of bitcoin, most people use ALTCoin as the fastest way to collect bitcoin , because the rate or rate is often very promising against bitcoin, began the emergence of many ALTCoin make some coin is just a boom but also many investors and the various types.
What is the effect of increasing the amount of altcoin on bitcoin?
I think the introduction of Altcoin helps to diversify the market. It gives people the chance to have alternatives.
Because many Altcoins were developed to serve an extra function or a flaw with Bitcoin.
Moreover the Ethereum blockchain has made it possible for many Altcoins or projects to evolve and strengthen the community.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new phenomenal innovation on: July 03, 2018, 03:36:59 PM
Today as we modernize some of the aspects in the economy like in the production wherein pneumatic machinery are being introduce. Thus, innovation has already prove its efficiency in the production which lowered the production cost. In the areas of transportation, there are cars also being introduced that run by a battery and efficient also and economy in terms of expenses maintenance compared to gasoline powered cars. Other than that there are already other inventions that promote the comfort of living in life. Thus, digital currency is another innovations. Could you consider bitcoin as the new innovations for fiat money? The answer will be used in my research term paper for the adaptation of unified digital currency that could be used by the people around the world.
Bitcoin is truly a powerful innovation. One intriguing factor is that although Bitcoin is just digital currency, it could also be an asset. For this reason it is seen that many people who enter the crypto world, do so because they want to generate profit for holding Bitcoin.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: July 01, 2018, 11:48:10 PM
Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

Of course this can be changed. If the price gets more stable and break free of volatility and if the coin increase a lot more in popularity and acceptance to promote its real life usage then Bitcoin can sustain as a currency.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the biggest misconception of Cryptocurrency in your country? on: July 01, 2018, 11:44:18 PM
Here in my country they thought bitcoin is just a scam only few people can fully understand what is blockchain and crypto currency so everytime they will hear bitcoin people will say you should stop that because its a Scam.
How about you? What is the weirdest thingy you heard from people about bitcoin or crypto currency?
Many people in my country think that Bitcoin is just a utility where anyone can just invest into and will start to gain portfolio returns. Many only heard of Bitcoin price hikes and how it made investors enjoy significant profits over the news.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: the benefits of managing bitcoin on: July 01, 2018, 11:40:01 PM
when bitcoin prices are drops, I think we better talk more about the positive value of bitcoin. do not think about the value of bitcoin today, because thinking about it will only make us panic and confused. enough G20 make us calm.

So, now. we are talking about the benefits of bitcoin if bitcoin managed well.

what do you think if bitcoin is managed well by a country?
I think it could cause it to be a little stable. But with that it could become centralised which is contrary to its underlying technology to be a fully decentralized currency on the distributed ledger system - the Blockchain.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits? on: July 01, 2018, 11:36:30 PM
We all know how risky bitcoin is. Let's imagine the most riskiest money deposit situation.
What do you think guys, will this moment ever come and banks decide to offer us Bitcoin deposits (e.g. fixed profit on 1 year deposit and etc).
This can be very, very profitable for banks if they make correct decisions.
P.S I don't mean freebitco.in's offer of holds on their wallet. I mean if official banks ever offer us this service.
[/quotes]
Some Banks have started to offer few Bitcoin services to their customers. But I haven't heard of any bank offering deposits yet.
We're not too far behind though since many new projects are incorporating transaction of traditional banking systems into their projects with Blockchain underlying the project. So mergings could arise very soon.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoin and buys bitcoin pioneering says on: July 01, 2018, 11:31:48 PM
Start selling your altcoin and buy bitcoin says pioneering wall Street because bitcoin is very strong ,bitcoin is good for long term
And Bogart said that he will sell his all cardamom,Tron, iota and neo he would buy and hold Ethereum, ripple, bitcoin cash and EOC
I believe he opted for long-term investment. Ethereum, Bitcoin, Ripple, Bitcoin Cash, EOC, Litecoin and other valuable coins are good for long-term investment. These coins have value that matches their prices: so that makes it good for long-term investment than the over values coins.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real life usage of bitcoin on: July 01, 2018, 11:23:56 PM
Don't you think price blast not correlate with its real life usage since its inception?

Its hoarded for speculative purpose but how many major cities in the world have even its ATM?

I mean we all the time correlate its value with fiat currency then buy/take then what's its purpose in my day to day life?

Who will accept it in store when confirmation time is so long.
Bitcoin is a currency just like fiat and should be treated as such. It was not developed to be a relative to fiat but a better and transformed currency to foster transaction in low cost, secure, safe and easy systems.
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin become an asset on: July 01, 2018, 11:20:28 PM
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/south-korean-supreme-court-rules-bitcoin-asset/

I read about this news that in south korea bitcoin is legally become recognizeable as asset. I do think bitcoin is a currency and not an asset. I dont know whether this is good news or not for cryptocurrency. One thing i believe with legalization from goverment i do think more investors will come to invest in bitcoin, but i think if bitcoin become an asset its not as it suppose to because i believe bitcoin should be a currency which is currency is for transaction and asset is not for transaction.

Bitcoin contributes to the wealth of a person. Wealth is a valuable entity that is classified as part of a persons assets. So I think Bitcoin should be classified as an asset. It doesn't matter if its digital or virtual
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Government bans Bitcoins? on: July 01, 2018, 11:16:38 PM
Looking at the decentralized nature of crypto-currencies,Wonder if govt bans Bitcoins in future??Is it possible let's say by blocking all sites which relate to Bitcoin wallets/payments etc over the internet. In that case what would happen to our existing coins held in those wallets??
I don't think the governments van block Bitcoin or blockchain related stuffs on the net. The internet is not centrally owned but some sites can block crypto or blockchain publicization, just like we saw for Facebook.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who sells BTC now? on: July 01, 2018, 11:13:01 PM
I have seen many threads talking about should I sell now or wait till BTC moons. When I see these threads I marvel and move on to check on different topics or threads because I know the person doesn't know what he is talking about. Diving more into cryptocurrencies, when you sell now it means you are a coward and don't even know the kind of cryptocurrency you are dealing with. One thing is that, its really kinda pity to see those topics raised. I have set a goal and until that goal is not, I will never sell BTC and that's me.I want ask that is it because those selling the coin are newbies and are afraid of loosing some small $s or they haven't read much about bitcoin or the cryptocurrencies or they have low knowledge about the blockchain technology?
It is good to acquire or hold Bitcoin now because Bitcoin price could rise overtime and cause users to regain value for the money and acquire Bitcoin portfolio returns.
This is the period that many investors will term as the window of opportunity to invest more.
