2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Protect yourself from Excitement and keep your Winnings Safe on: July 01, 2019, 08:14:41 PM
After you have won for some time and have a nice profit there comes a time when you start losing and that is where you are the most vulnerable and should stop betting for a while until you are not emotional anymore. The reason is you get upset for losing some of your profit, then you start reasoning that you can make up the loss and still have the same profit. You think that since you are losing profits its ok to keep going b/c you are not playing with the money you started but with the profit. Then you start making aggressive bets that you wouldn't have made with the money before the profit. If you end up losing those aggressive bets you get angry and increase the bet amount again something you wouldn't have done before..Then before you realize it you lose your whole profit and then that makes you even more upset and vulnerable, and you say to yourself oh well it's my play money I don't mind losing it I made a profit before and you keep betting and lose that too. What I used to do is after I make a profit, once I start losing I stop for a week then come back if i Keep losing stop for another week and it helped me maintain my cool. There have been times where with the losses I have been at a plus for months, and then I have had more losing than winning for months, but I have always taken a break between the losses and has helped me keep my cool and not get emotional.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: June 28, 2019, 03:14:31 AM
There are some casinos which legitimately request KYC and people accept it. I'll ask you one good question to answer yourself: Will you show your ID to random person which meets in you street? Of course no, but will you show your ID to a person that works in Bank and needs it for you? Of course yes. That's all. There are a lot of casinos and most of them are like random persons in street and there are some ones that are like official people in banks and etc. That's the whole idea and answer of this question.
KYC is not really a problem. If its the rule so every gambler should abide in it. But the question is can they give a perfect assurance that our real identities won't be revealed even in the years to come. I doubt if they can perfectly do that so as much as possible,i still go with gambling sites that still not requiring KYC.
It is a problem for the crypto world in general and not just crypto gambling. Why does anyone need to see what I look like and where I live when they don't consider revealing what' their team like and where they're located? They want to be safe from the governments but think it's okay to take player's data? That's hypocritical.

No player should be okay with the gambling sites asking for identities. Who knows what happens to your data? That sort of data is not needed for anything related to gambling in any case.
I totally agree with this statement. No one can be certain that private data won't get hacked, considering many more hackers target crypto related things than regular businesses... I don't feel confident trusting a gambling site with private information. There are many awesome gambling sites that don't have KYC, so why would I go to one that requires it?
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you watch the matches you're gambling on on: June 24, 2019, 08:53:19 PM
Watching the game is all the fun. I don't know why I would bet and not watch...It makes it way more interesting to watch something when you have money on the line. Love the emotions win or lose, esp if I win big, makes the game many times more pleasurable...
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BUFF- A loyalty platform that rewards gamers simply for playing on: June 24, 2019, 08:51:09 PM
What is the current price of a buff coin? Why are you guys not listed on coinmarketcap? What will be the total supply? It says you can exchange buff coins for other tokens..what are the other tokens? Is this an ERC-20 token?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SMART] SmartCash POW with Instant Payment + SmartRewards + SmartNodes on: June 13, 2019, 07:16:17 PM
No Replies since 2018. Is this coin dead Huh

No, SmartCash has many upgrades done lately. The coin has active community on official forum https://forum.smartcash.cc and Discord. You won't see many coins with very active community here unless they haven't got their own forum.

blahablabalbablha

this coin is dead as shit.  even with all the "community" lmao.
It was dead a long time ago.. I posted facts last year March and April of 2018 about how it's a scam.. They made this bitcointalk forum more than half an year after their coin went live. The masternodes were broken for months and they were claiming they fixed it, I posted screenshots on here of how it's not fixed, selected masternodes kept getting payments and never went to the back of the list...People on the inside made huge profits unloading their coins on ppl that wanted to set up masternodes.. Many bought at above .70 cents and then a few months later it crashed to 10 cents... I said inside people, b/c since they weren't on here(bitcointalk forum), when they were premining it was low difficulty and not many ppl knew about the coin, then after half an year of the coin being live and mined they set up a thread on here about their scam coin...
The funny thing is my account on here got hacked, and they tried to change my email...I recovered it and only the many posts I made on this thread were deleted,no other posts in other threads were touched... If you go to page 35 you see @leko$ replying with my name in his replies, but you don't see any of my messages..You can still see some other people that have quoted me in other pages, but all my messages were erased, so it's obvious whoever hacked my account was pissed for all the facts I posted on here. Pure garbage scum...

You guys go silent for a year and then randomly announce (hidden inside a thread) that you are burning coins? Really? Why not have them redeemable by signing with legacy address? Thats BULLSHIT
Totally agree... Some dude said he had 500k coins, I had around 100k, I am sure lots of people had such amounts and missed the swap. Seems very nasty. It's ok though, I don't see it going anywhere anyway.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BLK/BC) | PoS | No ICO on: June 12, 2017, 02:11:58 AM
The lore wallet client is a mess. After i installed it and it synced, it showed 0 balance. Then i imported my private keys from blackcoin 1.2.4 and saw my real balance in the lore wallet. However, every time i open the lore wallet i get this message " Error reading wallet.dat! all keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect", then it syncs and i have my amount. I went to open my Bitcoin wallet and i received the same message "Error reading wallet.dat! all keys read correctly, but transaction data or address book entries might be missing or incorrect" on my BITCOIN wallet, that never happened before, it also said "error loading block database, do you want to rebuild the block database?" Then it took a while to open and it showed my bitcoin wallet 8 years behind, when it was up to date like a week ago...

A debug log from your Blackcoin application directory is needed, A second release is being prepared which will be more tested, open beta.
Can you get on slack, I will try resolve issues. This has not happened during testing phase, but yeah, every pc setup is unique.. that's why the next release will be a public beta. Original or reference client, which is a fresh release too, still works.

I don't have the debug, because I got annoyed it messed with my bitcoin wallet.dat so I transferred all my blackcoin to poloniex and deleted everything. I had to replace my bitcoin wallet with an old backup copy and resync my bitcoin core.

I hate swapping Angry. Today I found out the swapping ended a week ago. I lost my XWC just because I haven't read this forum systematically. Great!
Me too... it's stupid to do a swap like that, many people go absent for long periods of time...

This coin died with those scammers at Coinmarket. I sold over 5 million a few years ago. I loved this coin but there are many bagholders now.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the hottest alt coin right now? on: May 03, 2016, 11:51:14 PM
At that time I cannot say anything about that which alt coin is the hottest right now, as the time for bitcoin block halving is near and everyone is busy with bitcoin, so the time for alt coin will come only after people get some time from bitcoin, I think a few months later.
I am excited to see the influence the bitcoin halving will have.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: May 01, 2016, 03:41:39 PM
There is a safe way. Never play with emotions or impulse. Never go all in with your total bankroll. Have good money management, split your bankroll and bet with amounts that are 1/15th of your bankroll, that way when you lose you still have many more to place and become even at worst case. Knowledge in what you bet is also needed, bet on things you know like players and many other factors. You only need to win 55% of the time and be at a small profit, over time that adds up. I have bet for 2 years and I am at a small profit of 2 bitcoins, however I have had many risky games parleys of 6 games where only 1 loses, so if I played safer I would be at a bigger profit. Bottom line is you have weeks and months where you lose and weeks when you win, as long as you manage your money good you should be even at worst case.

you are able to win cause you have good prediction. This is not by luck, but if you talk about dice game or other table games, you realise it is very hard to win since everything is based on luck.
Absolutely, do not rely on luck if you want the safest way to gamble, made some good research on how to win the game. Remember to have a good control of your self you will have always a good decision making. Bankroll management is very important key to be successful in gambling.

i think those who do gambling is think that they are lucky today and turn unlucky and lose big, but i dont believe in luck i beleive on research and pure strategy, luck is just a bunos if you do research on gambling site you wish to join.

So what kind of gambling you mean that is based on research and pure strategy game? Even in sports gambling we need a luck to win although we have done many researches but without luck we will lose.
There is no pure strategy based game imo.
luck is involved in everything that you bet, but it's how you manipulate it and use it to your advantage. Knowing the teams that play, how they play, styles, etc.. is very helpful. Picking a sport that you watch and know and follow.. many times I have won on underdogs because for example I know the team actually has a very good chance of winning yet it is an underdog and you get good odds so you make good money. That is just one example. If you bet on sports you don't follow, you can't have an advantage in picking a winner.

16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: April 29, 2016, 09:55:23 AM
You guys realize this requires a complex answer involving how your brain works. It is about experiencing pleasure tied with learning and memory in your brain regions like the amygdala and hippocampus, which is part of the reward system, along with releasing dopamine and other neurotransmitters. I don't want to get into details you guys can google it, however the main point is, scientist classify gambling as an addiction along with other pleasurable activities like sex, even shopping for some people, it is not just drugs that you can be addicted to that was thought way back in the day.

Why is it self-moderated? lol

Never noticed until you said it.  I'm not the dev i just mine octocoin.

Whats the problem with a self-moderated thread ?

People's comments can be deleted by whoever made the thread... If people have issues with something, their post can be deleted and no one will know. I am not saying that's what they will do, just saying why I don't like self-moderated threads. Some people claim they make it self-moderated , so they can delete all the people talking dumb stuff, but I don't believe in that reason either.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RSC] | RealStackCoin | Reverse-scam | HARD FORK @ 34015 | KGW PATCH on: March 23, 2016, 10:20:16 AM
I am stuck at downloading block #87,184, wont progress further from it.
Stuck at "20 weeks behind" despite 9 connections to RealStackCoin network.

I will leave it running over night to see if it resumes downloading.

Just notifying that  its been 4 hours and stuck on the same exact block #.

I wanted to finish syncing this coin to mine it in case if this coin has some future potentials on some exchanges.

Alternatively I would appreciate if someone has a compressed file of all the blocks or a bootstrap.dat for this coin hosted somewhere that I can download to speed up the syncing process.

Thanks.
Why would you want to do that? It's a dead coin...
