We've added an optional email renewal reminder to the VPS management area.

Using it is very simple. Just enter any email address and click 'Enable email notifications' to be reminded before your server is due for termination.

How many days before expiration it is possible to pay and continue using server?

You can pay as many days in advance as you like. You can purchase a server today for X days and renew it for another X days right away.

No account or sign up required. Just choose your server type - select location, OS, and VPS lifetime - and pay for your server in Bitcoin, Bitcoin SV, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, or Ethereum.

Servers take just seconds to provision and can easily be renewed for up to 365 days.

BitVPS pricing is quite competitive - with servers starting from $0.29 for one day.

If there is enough interest we will also be adding an API to spin up instances. Feedback/comments/suggestions are always appreciated!

What are the limitations upon these VPS's?

Basically, if I rent a dedicated CPU server, am I allowed to, say, mine monero with it?
Or any other hugely resource intensive task?

Also, the lack of pricing on the front page makes it very hard to shop.
At the very least, maybe you could add a "starting from" price on each VPS so that we have a ballpark idea of how much they cost?

As it is, got some sticker shock by opening one of the higher end servers. Perhaps Contabo has spoiled me, but I was not expecting such a high cost. Wink

Cryptocurrency mining on standard (s) VPS is not allowed because it tend to peg the shared CPU at 100% degrading services for other users sharing the same hypervisor. Mining may be allowed on the dedicated CPU servers although I doubt it would be profitable to do so.

Thank you for the suggestion to add a starting from price on each VPS - this is the kind of feedback we really appreciate.

Nice to see this VPS you can pay with Bitcoin and other cryptos!

One question after I looked at your website:
- Is longest period we can buy VPS 1 year, or is there a way for longer lifetime (maybe few years)?

After you initially purchase your VPS you can renew it immediately for up to one more year. There is no limitation on this so you can keep renewing as many times as you want (up to one year each time)

No windows server on your store.
Can you provide windows operating system?
I mean when you don't have, I Should be installing that VPS with my windows server I have and not be banned from your service.

Windows server is currently not available but it may be added in the future if there is enough interest.

I have few question :
1. Are those VPS with shared or dedicated CPU?
2. Few options have prefix such as "s-" and "gd-", are there any difference or different specification?

S is shared cpu
G and gd are general purpose which have dedicated cpu
M is memory optimized which has dedicated cpu
C is CPU optimized which has dedicated CPU

Reposting my previous post since the thread was edited/"removed" (or maybe I posted in the wrong thread...?):

What if we need to renew it after the specified time hired at first?

Do you provide something like an unique link to manage the VPS?

Each server comes with a unique Server ID which can be used to renew your server for up to 365 days.

Hello,

We wanted to announce that all shareholders have been paid out. We needed to balance the books for the month of June before we could send out the last payment which went out today.

Thanks,

... We purchased the entirety of BitVPS for 100 BTC...

Odd question:  How did you buy the entirety of BitVPS without buying the shares which represent it?

Maybe that was just badly worded. If you read RG's contract you can clearly see that the investor/shareholder side of the business was to end with the sale.

Not sure how else to put it, but you bought something from rg which he did not fully own.  Such sales are invalid.  If I buy a stolen car, even in good faith, I'll have a hard time registering it.

The sale is perfectly legal. The example you gave is incorrect as the original rg contract didn't entitle you to any hardware only net profits. A better example of this would be if one guy bought a 1 terahash miner as a preorder. He later decides to sell all of the hashrate. He sells 1 terahash total, 100ghash to 10 people. The 10 people agree that they get 100ghash and if the unit is sold they will split the sale of the unit evenly among them. The original buyer agrees and hosts it for a for months. He later decides to sell the unit. He sells the unit to bob. He keeps all the money from the sale and the 10 people who bought 100ghash are angry. Now does bob have a obligation to continue to host those 10 people even tho he never agreed to it?In this example RG is the person who bought the unit and didnt share the money gained from the sale with the 10 people.

To this end we have calculated the price to be $0.025/share. This
was derived from taking the average of the final dividends paid for the
last 2 public statements of BitVPS, and multiplying it by 12, for 12
months. Then finally dividing it by one (1) million for the shares and
rounding to the nearest third (3) decimal place.

So they are buying the whole thing back for just $2500?! This implies that average monthly dividend is just $208.

We’d like to express our sincere gratitude to all shareholders who’ve
been with us since the beginning. BitVPS could not have grown to the
multi-faceted hosting solutions provider it’s become without all of you.

Well, according to your logic, this "multi-faceted hosting solutions provider" is worth only $2500, so it looks like it haven't grown much, you don't need to thank us.

I bet domain name alone is worth way more than $2500.

I would like to correct your calculation, it is actually $25,000 paid total for the company. This is 0.025cents multiplied by 1 million
