81  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitfetch - Anonymous Remote Torrent Downloading on: February 03, 2014, 04:34:07 PM
Anyone know what a Pending download is?

I don't even have torrent stats (Seeds/Peers).  I would assume this to mean that the torrent has been downloaded and 'submitted' to the their backend torrent system, but it is not downloading for some reason.

No idea. But it won't read magnet links. It looks like it's down.

I can't help thinking this is my fault for accidentally sending them those coins. They won't respond to emails. They won't give the coins back. 0.8 BTC was probably like a year's income for the site and now they're going to bail with it.

It's concerning that there is no one to talk to about this site. The guy who started this thread isn't responding to PMs and no one is answering their admin@ email.
Don't forget he hasn't held up his part of his giveaway.

I accidentally sent 0.8 BTC there a few weeks ago and haven't had any response on returns. The https cert is expired.

RE: is it working?

No. It just crashed while I was trying to zip something.

Take that back. It suddenly started and finished. I d/l'd a pretty large torrent about 4 hours ago and it worked.

Site's great for fast torrents, but I sent 0.8 BTC in by accident the other day (address book malfunction). Who's running the site now? They're not answering their email Roll Eyes
87  Economy / Services / BitVPS - down for 24 hours and not responding to emails? on: January 03, 2014, 02:06:12 PM
After some trouble with a VPS there a few days ago, it looks like their entire site is offline and BitVPS.com is not even resolving for the past 24 hours.

Since I just prepaid for the quarter, this is kind of uncool. Anyone know what's going on?

Nice site. We'd appreciate being added... StrikeSapphire.com (25 games, since July 2011).
90  Economy / Service Announcements / StrikeSapphire - Since 2011 - New 15-20% Rev Share deal for serious affiliates on: November 28, 2013, 12:58:09 AM
Hi y'all.

In case you don't know of us, StrikeSapphire is the oldest casino in the Bitcoin space (and the best, IMHO). Until now, although we've experimented, we've never had a real affiliate program.

We're trying something new now that we're calling the Silver Star Affiliate plan. We're offering a 15% revenue share for starters, to affiliates who send players our way. A 1% bonus applies for every $1k of revenue we generate from your players in the previous month, up to a total of 20%. That means you earn 15-20% of our house take from all the players you send us, forever, in perpetuity.

If you don't own a stake in your own Bitcoin casino, and don't feel like starting one, then this is a good way to get your foot in. StrikeSapphire has 25 games and some of the best software in the industry. And we're synonymous with Bitcoin, having launched back in July 2011.

Now, we have some basic ground rules for our affiliates (like: No marketing to America), and we need to make sure you're serious before we give you that account. You should either have a Bitcoin-related site that's pulling traffic, or else an excellent reputation here in the forums. Everyone who will qualify will be personally vetted. We pay out in Bitcoin at the end of every month, and you can see all the players you referred and how much you've made up to the minute through our interface.

If this sounds interesting, PM me here in the forums or email help(at)strikesapphire.com with "silver star affiliate" in the subject line.

91  Economy / Gambling / Re: StrikeSapphire: The original Bitcoin Casino: ZERO (0%) RAKE FREE POKER! on: November 26, 2013, 11:54:27 PM
Just a heads-up, we are offering a 100% deposit bonus right now up to $100 through our friends at http://betwithbtc.com. Use the code "betwithbtc100" when you deposit to get matching funds. Happy gamblin'  Smiley
92  Economy / Gambling / StrikeSapphire: The original Bitcoin Casino: ZERO (0%) RAKE FREE POKER! on: October 22, 2013, 06:34:36 PM
Hi folks.

For those who don't know us, StrikeSapphire is the longest running complete Bitcoin casino, in operation since July 19th, 2011.

In all that time, poker has never been our main focus, even though we have a much nicer poker room than most of the rest. Our software is completely original and lets you multi-table up to 6 at once while playing any other games in the house  Wink

So, as a promotion from now through November, ALL NL HOLDEM RING GAMES AND S/G TOURNAMENTS ARE COMPLETELY RAKE-FREE at our site. After that we will raise the rake to 1%, still beating every other casino out there.

Our place is your place. Come and organize games, take advantage of the free place to play. We've been around, and we'll be around, for a long time.

Something a little weird is going on with your Trey Poker. What's up with this pay table?

Does Bitoomba own this "bitcoingg guide" site?

We (StrikeSapphire) did not ask bitcoingg to put up a page about us. They are NOT our affiliates at this point in time. They are listing incorrect and misleading information. They have a page called "StrikeSapphire", where every link to our website redirects to Bitoomba. They've done the same thing to Dragon's Tale.

This looks like nothing more than a bad attempt by Bitoomba to improve their SEO at the expense of legitimate casinos.

We have offered to discuss affiliate partnership with the Bitcoingg people (who emailed to sell us advertising). I have every reason to think now that they are one and the same as Bitoomba.

Bitoomba should either remove our page from their site, or follow our affiliate guidelines and post correct material and working links to our site.

I would like to take a moment and address the issue mentioned here.

bitcoingg is not owned nor operated by Bitoomba. We do use it as one of our marketing channels by advertising there just as we do on other sites.

Following your comment we confronted the owners, who also send us traffic via affiliation, and requested that they stop using any fraudulent, deceptive or unethical methods of sending traffic to our brand, just as we would expect others to do if we were to deal with the same issue. We have our own terms and guidelines on that matter as you can read on our own affiliates page.

I can assure you that our SEO strategy does not involve any "black hat" tactics. We are as legit as our competitors, we take pride in our product and we strive to make it even better on all aspects including marketing, but we will not take part in a strategy that will eventually leave a stain and keep players away.

Thanks. We appreciate your response to this (and I'm sure Dragons does as well). It looks like the site has pulled the bad links.

Hey, sorry. One more thing. The Colorado-Mets game should be no-actioned because Colorado's pitcher was scratched from the start at the last minute. But it looks like the bet's still live... http://www.bitcoinsports.eu/bet/f2cdc

Updated. In the future if you want to make a second bet on a team just place a new bet slip.

Cheers

Fast response, great service and thanks!!

Guys, made a mistake -- I wanted to send 0.2 BTC to bet on Cincinnati (just started)... http://www.bitcoinsports.eu/bet/1f8b9
But I accidentally sent 0.1 BTC to the address. So I sent another 0.1 BTC immediately afterwards. Unfortunately I only got credited for the first transaction. Can you fix it?

First time using your site. Good idea, making it not need an account. But...

is it normal for a bet slip to keep saying "Send up to 2.0 BTC to [address] within 2 minutes to place bet" even if the transaction was confirmed hours ago? Or does this mean that I didn't send it fast enough or something? (The game's not until tonight...)

[Edit: I see it went through. Question though. Is it normally a good idea to bet at least a few hours before game time?]
