I take that once they go under the customer still loses the money?
2  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gamergate Thread on: October 29, 2014, 10:47:21 AM
I think it's mainly about ethics are corruption. Also they dislike direct attacks to their group.

Then there is tiny minority of trolls who like to stir up things. And small handful of true misogynist who have gotten the misandrist to hate them and thus the crappy MSM pulled in with lies.
3  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Spot a faulty ideology on: October 13, 2014, 10:05:08 AM
What if the first 3 apply to a ideology?
4  Other / Politics & Society / Re: lefties righties on: October 11, 2014, 07:39:29 PM
Both?

Free market is good in some sectors, socialism in others. Mix of those is best for most, extreme of either to a few (those who have power).
5  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 84% of Brits think the war on drugs has failed on: October 08, 2014, 05:41:56 PM
war on drugs is all about making profit, nothing more.
I would disagree. The war on drugs is to protect people from being manipulated and from becoming addicted to drugs beyond their control. When someone is addicted to drugs they tend to commit more crimes so they can continue to feed their addiction

I would agree on keeping certain drugs off-limits, but the current policy of having two allowed and everything else banned isn't a good one.

Stuff like marijuana, khat maybe LSD, mushrooms and such I don't see point of banning adults from using.

Now heroin, crack, meth and stuff like crocodile yes... No point allowing them outside controlled circumstances.

You say whut?

Please explain your meaning a bit more, I can't help but to ask myself: what the fuck does this guy want?

Just another member of dank's club I guess.  Smiley

What is it with this forum and batshit insane people in addition to regular insane people(anarchist/libertarians-socialist/statist take your pick...)?
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is your country the best? on: October 07, 2014, 03:34:47 PM
I suppouse Sweden has something better and Norway is rich and acctually doesn't waste its wealth.

So, no it's not best, but not the worst either...
8  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do we defeat ISIS without U.S. Ground Troops? on: September 28, 2014, 02:30:01 PM
Give them a few decades to do their crap.
9  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does Al-Qaeda use Bitcoin on: September 18, 2014, 03:28:51 PM
USD is perfectly good for them, just like for all other terrorist organisations including USA government.
10  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Eve of 9/11 POTUS says he gonna get dem ISIL good on: September 15, 2014, 03:52:34 PM
Now we can get into a pat argument about whether it's about religion, or land, or power. That doesn't particularly matter either. ISIL won't last more than a few years, but there will be another group to follow it. There's no doubt about that. It's one of the common things about people who think they know what is best for you. They just don't stop.

True, maybe once there is a stable government solution is not topple it. People tend not to like getting their families and friends killed. And such people not have much to lose.
11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Ten adverts using 9/11 disaster on: September 14, 2014, 08:31:00 AM
There is nothing sacred about the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Many events in history have had more casualties, been more tragic, etc. There is no need to self-censor 9/11 related content.
The victims of 9/11 were basically all innocent and did nothing to the people that killed them. Also a good percentage of the victims died because they were trying to save others' lives.

The other tragedies that are worse then 9/11 are also not commercialized nor should they be just like 9/11 should not be

Were they anymore innocent than people who are murdered in Pakistan now by drone strikes? Or people who died during invasions of Afganistan and Iraq?
These people were not intentionally killed. They were collateral damage. Precautions were taken to try to prevent their deaths but it was not possible to avoid them all. The people who died on 9/11 were specifically targeted as a means to install fear among people in the US. There is a huge difference!

How do you know that there wasn't any enemy combatants killed during the operation? There must have been plenty of men and women(western equality) between ages of 18 and 60(best healthcare in the world).

Sadly no lessons have been learned from 9/11. Same policies that led to it still continue.

Good old Western culture has been done for millenias...
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: EU Looks to Ban Toasters, Kettles and Hair Dryers to Stem Global Warming on: September 02, 2014, 02:54:52 PM
Wouldn't less powerfull electric kettle be less efficient than more powerful? With shorter time for heating there is less time for convection and radiation of heat?
16  Other / Politics & Society / Re: ‘Ring of steel’: NATO summit turns Welsh cities into massive open-air prisons on: August 30, 2014, 06:11:46 PM
What if we locked them in and let the regular folks out?
17  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Polygamy Decriminalized in Utah on: August 30, 2014, 04:21:45 AM
I fully support polyandry as long as there is decent legal framework around it.

Why should I care if there was 6 people who wanted one marriage?
18  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia invades Ukraine on: August 29, 2014, 09:27:50 AM

Atleast they have common border together unlike Afghanistan and Iraq... Those ones can't really be explained...
19  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Could someone provide evidence that the majority of Russians aren't insane? on: August 29, 2014, 08:43:03 AM
Russians aren't insane. They just use their own methods to take things as far as they can. And there probably won't be any real consequence for them in long run.

Key is to understand that Russia isn't about overseas influence just now, but about areas near it. Unlike USA which can't do anything near it's borders.
20  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Crimean Scythian Gold Held Hostage in Holland on: August 23, 2014, 01:20:35 AM
But surely, you would not want the Crimean Junta to get their greedy hands on expensive museum pieces?!

What next? "Returning" priceless Inca artefacts to some drug lords just because their private army happened to recently take over some South American country? So much gold in the hands of Crimeanals would be risky  Cheesy

I think Egypt is also missing quite a lot of items...
